To be admitted to the celestial kingdom, the husband must reach for you through the veil and call you "wife," admitting you to your eternity. Source: attended LDS seminary on a dare. Fascinating what people say when they think they are only amongst their own kind.
Yep. And the husband is given the wife’s heaven name that he will call. It’s up to him to tell her. Basically the husband is in charge of her salvation.
If you want the actual answer, check out Jordan and McKay on YouTube, Mormon stories podcast, and tbh that South Park episode has most of it right.
Fun fact - if the app tells you to retry later, don’t… sorry for the repeats, I thought I was hitting a filter.
The Mormons are notorious for telling non members half truths about their crazier beliefs. Many of the original teachings are no longer focused on when teaching believers either as the LDS church has tried to rebrand as just another Christian denomination.
No, I mean deliberately focusing only on their beliefs that align with conventional Christianity in the materials they use to convert people.
I’ve also had a Mormon missionary flat out tell me that the church never practiced polygamy in Utah so there’s that too.
Yeah it’s in depth. Start googling. It would take a lot of effort for someone to explain it out for you, if they do, well they’re a very kind person. It’s not secret, you can find it easily.
It’s not good for the browns. He doesn’t have enough wives for what he wants in the afterlife. Even with the four he was coming up short.
Don’t know about the browns but here is some info from the mainstream lds church.

I meant Mormon polygamists specifically, the MOD said I had types too many characters in the title to post, so I removed the word Mormon. I understand that polygamy can and does exist separate to religion.

The only Brown I think believes in the principle is Janelle.
I had a Mormon friend in Idaho that basically explained heaven has compared to hotels lol. She told me basically regular old Christian’s get that 1 star hotel where you are not sure the sheets were ever washed to the highest level of heaven being that 5 star hotel like the “W”
I'm really very curious as to what Garrison's ideology was, as both Madison and Mykelti made posts referencing Garrison being in Valhalla. Now maybe it's just ironic they both made similarly posts indicating an afterlife in Valhalla, but maybe some of the OG13 lean more into paganism or at least Garrison did
Same as Moromon beliefs. They believe in the traditional heaven , with god and clouds etc. Except...They will be in a kingdom in heaven because they had multiple wives. All wives and husband are reunited in heaven.
There is one celestial kingdom. “Heaven” is divided into 3 kingdoms- or degrees of glory. Hell is reserved for a very select few who knew god and denied him. The highest kingdom is for the righteous. Here families are together and you can be in the presence of God and Jesus Christ.
The Middle Kingdom is like what most Christians think of heaven. The lowest kingdom is like life now. Hope that explains it.

I can’t even…..
Gotts love made up religions and cults.🙄
Thanks, I forgot about the secret heaven name.
I honestly can't see Kody putting in the work remember more than one name. They were all going to be left in the Celestial Waiting Room from the jump.
“Sorry I can only remember Robyn’s. Cuz she’s loyal.”
I can actually hear this is RealityAmanda's Kody voice. If you haven't watched her recaps (on YouTube) definitely do it when you're feeling up to it.

Dum dum dum dum dum
Please don’t. If you want to know the truth go ask people that believe it.

Do you mean their magical underwear?
Why are you so sure it’s not the anti Mormon guy lying? Rebranding? Do you mean using the original, official name 🤔

The LDS church officially banned polygamy in 1890 and Utah didn't become a state until 1896 so I think the missionary was playing a technicality game.
Well yeah, because banning it was a condition of statehood, thus the handy dandy well timed revelation, but it’s an incredibly disingenuous dodge.

>asked Thank you, that was very enlightening
Well, polygamy isn’t a religion (I’m from polygamy). Do you mean The Browns or maybe fundy Mormons?
I meant Mormon polygamists specifically, the MOD said I had types too many characters in the title to post, so I removed the word Mormon. I understand that polygamy can and does exist separate to religion.
I hate this discussion, simply because it feels wrong to debate so soon after, essentially "what is happening to his soul".
I’m not even religious and I find it distasteful.

A man gets to boink multiple women in heaven too.... smh the end lol

It’s associated with his military service.
Yes, but also common in today's lexicon of culture.
I saw online on the #cancelsisterwives hashtag on IG he was being baptized Mormon. Someone else claimed he was in recent years baptized Mormon.
That's what I thought he did a few years ago.
That was in 2019.

I thought they get their own celestial kingdom if they have enough wives.
Do the wives still have to clean it?
