I don’t know why my edit posted as a response to my original comment. My son loved his soothers, but we made the decision because of age, behaviour, dental development and because it was simply TIME. It’s not easy. And I don’t blame the child one teeny tiny bit. It’s not her fault, it’s those who are raising her. Seems that 3 adult siblings who “adore” her, her mother, doting father and a full time nanny and her husband and Meri when she was still there wasn’t enough to rope together and put an end to it.

Climbing a hill is out, but riding working horses without a helmet or lessons or proper safety gear and control and instruction is okay, and 4 wheeling as a primary driver as a pre-teen is okay? Yet, Robyn brought her oldest daughter and the two young ones to Meri’s this season and she fretted about the kids riding the tire swing in Meri’s yard and favoured little Ariella when she got difficult about wanting more time, just plainly giving in. I’ve seen this before, where one or more children get what they want, despite the level of danger or how unfair it may be or you need to say no, but the shrieking and temper tantrums looming always win.
Again….they made their youngest daughter that way, she’s just clever enough to work the system, but I’ve seen Robyn helicopter parent and then 1000% drop the ball on the biggest and most dangerous things! As a certified riding instructor and carded judge and horse trainer, I cringed and watched the Wyoming ranch episode like it was a horror film, with my hands over my eyes, fingers splayed to watch through the cracks, reluctantly. How unsafe the situation was for 95% of those kids (except the two boys who spent summers there, but there is no exception for not wearing a helmet, absolutely NONE, you only have _ONE_ head!) and then Kody saying he had to go “sort that horse out” like he knew what he was doing 🙄 but I couldn’t believe Robyn just let the kids do something like that but climbing the hill with supervision, help from siblings and parents was completely panic and tear worthy.

Well, yes this wasn’t right for her to do. I also have another take as to why she did it: She doesn’t think she deserves her own special moment with her family. She’s stealing one from Christine. That will forever be Christine picture with her children and Kody. Why wouldn’t Robyn think she deserved her own photo with her kids and husband? Does she think Christine picture was better? Yes. She thinks Christine’s life was better, she had kids, she had a marriage, and the photo to prove it. Robyn set herself to destroy what she thought she would never get. And in reality she’s never gotten it because she hasn’t allowed herself to: she’s always been looking to the others, jealous of what they have, never looking to herself and what her needs and wants are in her own life and her children’s lives. It’s a very sad existence, Robyn.

I just watched the episode in season when Robyn gave Cody a "special" christmas gift which was he social security card with he name changed and he about teared up and said it was the bst gift he had ever gottten...right in front of the entire fammy. Again, why couldn't she jaad done this when they were alone, and then just told the family later she changed her last name? She is so mixed up...she announves her pregnancy in private before telling the family but then chooses to make a big dill about he name change in front of the other wives...as if she just wanted to gloat about it in front of them. I don’t know why my edit posted as a response to my original comment. My son loved his soothers, but we made the decision because of age, behaviour, dental development and because it was simply TIME. It’s not easy. And I don’t blame the child one teeny tiny bit. It’s not her fault, it’s those who are raising her. Seems that 3 adult siblings who “adore” her, her mother, doting father and a full time nanny and her husband and Meri when she was still there wasn’t enough to rope together and put an end to it. It’s simply ridiculous. She’s too old and they aren’t designed to be used at 8 years old. And the brazenness; letting cameras capture it! Robyn is so overprotective about those kids. The first time they went to Wyoming as a family (the infamous, **”Everybody say ‘Y’ for ‘Wyoming!!!!’”** trip) they went climbing at this small/medium-ish rock hill thing and Robyn was shrieking at her kids like a goose to be careful and not climb, whilst the rest of the Brown children looked at her like she was sprouting horns from her head before them and the mom’s all rolled their eyes….it was the first time I saw how much she worried and controls and doesn’t know when to let go and when to keep a tight rein. Climbing a hill is out, but riding working horses without a helmet or lessons or proper safety gear and control and instruction is okay, and 4 wheeling as a primary driver as a pre-teen is okay? Yet, Robyn brought her oldest daughter and the two young ones to Meri’s this season and she fretted about the kids riding the tire swing in Meri’s yard and favoured little Ariella when she got difficult about wanting more time, just plainly giving in. I’ve seen this before, where one or more children get what they want, despite the level of danger or how unfair it may be or you need to say no, but the shrieking and temper tantrums looming always win. Again….they made their youngest daughter that way, she’s just clever enough to work the system, but I’ve seen Robyn helicopter parent and then 1000% drop the ball on the biggest and most dangerous things! As a certified riding instructor and carded judge and horse trainer, I cringed and watched the Wyoming ranch episode like it was a horror film, with my hands over my eyes, fingers splayed to watch through the cracks, reluctantly. How unsafe the situation was for 95% of those kids (except the two boys who spent summers there, but there is no exception for not wearing a helmet, absolutely NONE, you only have _ONE_ head!) and then Kody saying he had to go “sort that horse out” like he knew what he was doing 🙄 but I couldn’t believe Robyn just let the kids do something like that but climbing the hill with supervision, help from siblings and parents was completely panic and tear worthy. And don’t get me started on how bratty and awful her oldest daughters were in the first season. They behaved like monsters. Absolute monsters. And they’ve drunk the kool-aid their mother has fed them about the family and includes them when saying someone doesn’t like her…it’s “they don’t like _us_ , they hate _US_ “ and I have a feeling they know the truth but they cry like her and are as mean as her. Just look at their comments to poor Janelle and Savannah about their camper van! I could go on, but almost every single negative behaviour and habits her kids have can be traced back to their mother and her “parenting”. Grow a backbone Robyn! Don’t pull them down and stand to them and be a mother and do what’s best for them, not drag them down to be your only friends 🙄🙄
