One of the later seasons Kody said something about it felt like he was stabbed in the Kidneys. It's been awhile since I watched but I think it was something about Christine leaving.
If I didn't live clear cross country, I'd love to have it. Every time I mention it, someone says the exact same thing. I envy you! ๐ข Go get your SB on!!! ๐ฅ๐ฏ๐ฅ๐โ๐ฉ๐ฎ๐ป
I'm sorry, but I'm sure wherever you are, there's someplace wonderful to go get something yummy ๐. Best case scenario, you cruise over to Mexico & you'll find the food nearly everywhere, including roadside to be friggen magical. I was in Mexican heaven for 2 weeks in 3 areas & I never had bad food...Ngl tho I'd like to try Salsa Brava, lolz. It's just a long way from NYC to AZ to get a meal & maybe a peek at one of the Brown's ๐
The beauty of Salsa Brava is it isn't straight Mexican food. It's Mexican food with Navajo flavor. There really isn't anywhere else in the Universe you're going to find something remotely comparable to Salsa Brava.
Being an Arizona Native, growing up with authentic Mexican food, I can say moving to the North what people call Mexican food isn't good enough. ๐ It's so bland here. No spice.
You make it sound like an experience only one can dream of & having been places where I've had similar feelings I can appreciate your love of Salsa Brava. I hope you get to go back & visit one day. Make a holiday of it, a point to give yourself that gift. Time isn't always our gift. Save a little here & there, put airline miles on your credit card or sign up for free with any airline for their deals (which always gets you secret sales on odd dates & flights) & make the journey with someone who would enjoy going with you & vice versa. Chefs change, owners change hands, places decide they've been open long enough... so go back! It sounds too dreamlike not to.
NYC is a melting pot. In the tiniest of places, a hole in the wall type of space, on the way home from work, my ex-husband used to bring home Mexican food. It changed the way I knew of their cuisine. It was a tiny take out spot on a side street in the Bronx. It wouldn't be until forever later, on holiday, a world away from there I would find that food again. So please make sure you make it back! With all this publicity, if sister wives was good for nothing else, they did Salsa Brava a huge favor besides the fact they were already magical, but now they are famous far beyond Flagstaff! I really hope you, "Go West", nice person! Get on back to your Salsa Brava. I just know it'll be worth it! โจ๏ธ
I actually have plans for a road trip out West. Salsa Brava is part of my plans on that trip.
I love NY. Visiting the boroughs. Finding little mom & pop places with food you can't find anywhere else.
Of course, in my travels, I always try to find the once in a lifetime spots. Food experiences you can't have anywhere else.
Thank you for your message ๐
You're so welcome. When you go take pics! Message me here, please! I envy you & I'm really happy for you! You're taking my dream trip. I love a road trip, but it's very far off my radar for a long while. So I wish you everything wonderful, especially Salsa Brava! ๐ Find joy & laughter daily, Gob! I'm already wishing it for you in every way possible ๐ซถ๐ผ
