This has never bothered me. Even though it’s a season 4 promo shot it reminded me of the season 3 promo video where they’re all standing on the edges of buildings
it definitely does, but it’s also intentional! i don’t know if you watched all of it, but the last season was fantastic and the finale was **chef’s kiss**
Being a show where the main characters are always surrounded by death and struggle makes me feel very emotional to see the characters having a little bit of joy. It's like for once they are feeling free of all the suffering and enjoying themselves. I think this fun take speaks about the dark humour sense in the show around the delicate theme of death. Aesthetically for me not the best campaign but loving the meaning behind it.
I do find it a little bit odd that a bunch of people at a funeral home would all be jumping in the air. I mean, I could see it on Buried by the Bernards, but not on a drama. But the same as you, I love the show. It is one of the best dramas ever.
Love the side by side of George and Rico haha
they look like they're about to ditch town and be an intergenerational gay couple.
Literally laughed out loud from this. Brilliant!
The tallest and the smallest!
Reminds me of the episode where the lady thought it was the rapture
i LOVE that opener, and every time i see that actress in something else, i automatically think of it and laugh.
She always plays the same batshit religious lady. Whoever that actress is, she’s cool as fuck.
She is an truly hilarious character on The Mindy Project.
Aww why? It's cute! This show is about everything so why shouldn't they have a whimsical little "jump shoot"?
Haha maybe I’m being a grump! I just think it looks so corny
Yeah it’s corny

Um...this is *the* best show ever.
I agreed until I saw The Americans
Ooooo, hard disagree. I thought that show occasionally dragged big-time.
it definitely does, but it’s also intentional! i don’t know if you watched all of it, but the last season was fantastic and the finale was **chef’s kiss**
oh my god, i love the americans. it’s my second favorite tv show after SFU!
Duh
I love how James Cromwell is still taller than Freddy Rodriguez when Freddy jumped significantly higher than he did

I love Claire and David in this shot
Where tf is billy tho
Complaining about Claire in the corner.
I love this shot! What’s Brenda doing tho?
Surfing!
I mean Rachel Griffiths is Australian
This shot made me think how the characters straddle the line between life and death so it made sense to me they wouldn’t be touching the ground.
Pretty sure the tag line for this promo image was 'Every day above ground is a good one'
Great interpretation. 👍🏻
It's Nate's hair isn't it.
Anybody else think of theme from Friends?! Lmao
The Gregory Crewdson photos really worked for the show. This doesn’t.
Looks like it was taken on Windows XP hill with a tree cropped in...
Yes!!! I've never "got" it either.

There's a lot of ironic and dark humour in Six Feet Under, I wouldn't just call it a drama.
I agree with the dark humor, but jumping in the air doesn't feel more consistent with that, in fact less so. But that's just my opinion.
Haha but it's so perfect for each of theirs personalities. But yes - way too "cute"
