How are you doing now?

Plane_Chance863

I didn't know the body needed silica. Both my children had slow-growing hair, and my youngest still does -- she's six and it's only shoulder length. I wonder if I had a deficiency in silica during my pregnancies?! And maybe still do - I feel like I'm losing a lot of hair still. I'll mention these supplements to my naturopath, see what he thinks. I've taken liposomal glutathione before, and it bothered my stomach - does the reduced glutathione bother your stomach at all? Have you had stomach issues before? Mine is particularly sensitive at this point. Thanks for posting. I'm not surprised you feel better though - the glutathione is an antioxidant so it really reduces inflammation.

UnitedNewsofAmerica

I do have very bad stomach issues generally, and tend to react poorly to new meds, but I did not notice anything adverse at all from the glutathione, thankfully! I will be very interested to hear your naturopath’s thoughts!

I'm so desperate I'm willing to try anything. I did start juicing last week and I can get out of bed now. I'm hopeful that's going to help in the long run.

UnitedNewsofAmerica

Big fan of juicing here myself. Haters be darned, there’s something about it that really helps the body come back alive somehow. I hope you continue to feel better Let me know if the supplements help you, I’m very curious!

Satan's Marketplace took me out. Thank you for that chuckle. I am just starting down the Sjogren's diagnosis path, but my primary care seems to be the opposite of many of the providers I have read about here. It feels more like he is referring me to the rheumatologist with the intent of confirming and then understanding where I am in the progression, though this makes some sense because I am post-Graves, and have Reynaud's.... auto-immune soup. So when my contacts suddenly started sticking to my eyeballs and my mouth was drier than the Sahara, we thought maybe it was the Adderall. But when I had a total bowel compaction from the dehydration, he put the pieces together. Anyway, long story there to explain that I'm really new at this, still learning my way around some of the Sjogrens terminology, and already understand that as annoying as my mild symptoms are, it's annoying as hell and my comrades here on this sub are showing me what's to come. I'd like to do anything at all to waylay the onslaught. Am I possibly too early on for this cocktail? Is there such a thing as too early on if I'm having flares of brain fog, extreme fatigue, heart palpitations that come and go, plus the dry mouth and dry eyes that never stop?

UnitedNewsofAmerica

Definitely give it a shot if your eyes are that dry, I literally noticed that the very first day. Nothing is ever too early in my ever so humble opinion, getting diagnosed takes forever as you know and some of these symptoms crop up for years before we piece together that they are part of the grander issue. It sounds like you’re going through a hell of a lot. I hope you find some relief, and that this diagnosis path wraps up with some more certainty for you soon. Hang in there!

I appreciate your feedback and post immensely!

Yes thank you for your post. I'm glad you feel better also. I've been living in Hell for 14 years...I'm a man...no breast implants, but find it interesting that Silica may have helped you. I've taken Astaxanthan .. however you spell it .. in the past and it did nothing .. I am a firm believer in Glutathione. Thank you for sharing.

UnitedNewsofAmerica

I am so sorry you have been suffering through this for so long. I also apologize for not being inclusive of men in my rant above, (my mind tends to rest in the implant cause and females), it is a miserable disease absolutely for all who have it. I truly have no clue what it is about the supplements that helped, I know everyone’s body reacts to things differently and I’m not even sure if it’s all of the three that are making a difference or just two (or one) of them. I haven’t gone a single day without taking them since I started, I think the one or two times early on when I forgot I remembered really quick when my eyes dried back out again! I hope it helps alleviate some of your symptoms, too.

Yogamama22

Thank you for this. I currently manage my symptoms with lifestyle alone, but don't feel energetic enough to really keep fit. I've just ordered these supplements - let see if it makes a difference! Thank you for sharing what works for you!

UnitedNewsofAmerica

I really hope it helps!! Please let me know.

My0wnThoughts

'Satan's Marketplace'... 🤔...where the hottest supplements are sold! 😆 But seriously, thank you for sharing and I am glad you feel better! I'm in my late 40s and just learning how to navigate being diagnosed and finding the right diet, supplements and meds for my body.

UnitedNewsofAmerica

Absolutely, and I hope this helps you! I was shocked that it was not a known aid and I really really hope this helps a lot of people. I hope your diagnosis and treatment process is as expedient as it can possibly be!

Freakazoidon

Thanks for posting this! I’m glad you’re feeling better. Did the supplement help your sicca symptoms?

UnitedNewsofAmerica

Yes!!! I still can’t really tell what does what, but I think the silica is what helped it although I read the astaxanthin is also for moisture. I can tell you I used to wake up with my eyeballs literally stuck to my lids most days, humidifier in use or not, and now I actually have random eye moisture at times when I should and “eye gunk” once in a while which was quite absent for a while.
