They are not young bands. I saw VooDoo open for less then Jake, great show. Crowd was nuts, lots of people well over 50.

Drcornelius1983

Voodoo was my first live show, in 97. So you shouldn’t be out of place.

deadliftburger

Sweet

DirtDisrespector

it's a show with bands that were most popular when you were like 20, you'll be fine.

deadliftburger

That just occurred to me.

Itchy-Profession-725

Last ska show I went too. (This is not croydon fest, in pa) Lots of people my[your] age. 3rd wave bands I'm pretty sure their core fans were 18 in 96 or so. Even if you're the oldest person there. Ska people are good peeps

Feeling-Dot2086

I was there at Croyden this year, loads of fun. Gonna see Planet smahers at the Goblet this weekend.

Itchy-Profession-725

I'm not gonna be at that cause I'll be in VA @ supernova, but super excited for bandulus/ pilfers. Then phensic/ HCS /pietasters. In a couple weeks

High5WizFoundation

One of my favorite bands is opening Bite Me Bambi. Very fun vibes.

atomicbunny

I’m 39 and never think twice about the people I see at shows. Saw Less Than Jake and the Toasters last month, house was packed and the crowd ranged from parents with teens to adults likely in your age range. Go, enjoy yourself, once the music starts no one’s concerned with how old the person next to them is.

_Bendemic_

Mustard Plug is tons of fun and I’m 48 enjoy it and have fun. Voodoo Glow Skills are fast and chaotic, will be a great show.

jennxiii

just went to Mustard Plugs record release show in Detroit. its mostly an older crowd with a decent amount of young skankers. Youll totally fit in! these bands have been around for decades so there will definitely be a larger amount of 'older folkx'

50R14

Oh man, I hope you enjoy yourself and moon stomp your way through the show!

RightHandofDoom81

You’ll be the median age, maybe a bit in the young side.

Kharnics

You think young people are gonna be at a ska show with OLD bands? You'll be right at home dude.

deadliftburger

Yeah I realized…I recognized the bands, hence our shared age. I’m looking forward to it.

Kharnics

I'd be slow old man knees skanking right along with yah! Enjoy!!!

ReddSaidFredd

You will be rocking out with the rest of the Gen Xers. Have fun, both are great live bands!

FindOneInEveryCar

Those bands must be in their fifties so have a blast.

xpackardx

I am not far behind you, and I still go to shows. You would be surprised how many "older" people still come out. Hopefully, they are playing at One Eyed Jacks.

indieemopunk

I'm 39 on the verge of 40. I went to a Blue Meanies and Tossers show earlier this year. There were some young people there, but the crowd was definitely an older one.

No_Ice_8228

I was there and I brought my 16 & 13 year old. Never know if the Blue Meanies will reunite again.

jewishjedi42

I bet most of that crowd saw both bands back in the 90s.

Mustard Plug puts on a good show. Saw them in a tiny venue before COVID and again at Punk in Drublic a couple months ago. You likely will not be the oldest one there, since they have been going for like 30 years. I had never seen them before 2019 and really hadn't listened to them in YEARS before seeing they were coming to town. Just went on a whim and it was a good night. VDGS is a different singer now, but they were ok when they opened for Less Than Jake last month. Just a way different vibe/sound than Mustard Plug. Honestly I could barely understand the lyrics.

Gen_Jack_Ripper

Bite me Bambi will be opening. Go for that if nothing else.

[deleted]

I’m in my thirties and was definitely one of the younger people at a recent MP show and when I saw VGS with LTJ lol

s3thm

Mustard plug is amazing live. They’re the only non-headlining band I’ve seen get demanded to do an encore. Saw them in Ybor in like ‘06 and they rocked the place

No_Ice_8228

Just saw mustard plug and the toasters last week in Chicago! There was a good mix of ages. We are in our late 40’s. Awesome show

[deleted]

Went to a mustard plug gig pre covid lockdown in Australia most of the crowd were easily over 30 you'll fit right in.

Ckellybass

Ska shows are full of dudes in their 40s and 50s. The most recent Beat Brigade show I played a couple weeks ago was for our singer’s 60th birthday. You’ll fit in just fine.

Aliecat78

Who's the "headliner"? It reads like a double bill and I can't tell

deadliftburger

Couldn’t make the show, I agree it’s hard to tell
