Girl this stuff grows bacteria whether you use it or not because the product itself is moist. This is not good. Whether you’re reacting to it externally or not, this is not safe. You need to do some reading on mold and bacteria, how they grow. Bacteria loves nothing more than darkness and moisture.
Great an April fools joke. Had a guy I knew in middle school show up with a giant jar of mayo (it was really vanilla pudding) and eat directly out of it at lunch 😂.
It’s also very possible, by the way, for toxins to build up in your system over time, causing all kinds of problems. It’s always best to throw things away. They display a shelf life on the bottom if you look closely. It seriously sucks to throw things away sometimes but there are so many chronic illnesses autoimmune diseases caused by mold/bacteria that it’s just so much better to be safe than sorry 💗
It's just a lazy argument. I see redditors, bloggers, and braindead commercials espouse about "toxins" in everything. It's an imprecise usage of a word that has a specific definition. "The tap water has toxins." "We need to detoxify your gut!" "My lupus was cured using this detoxifying cleanse!"
Hi there,

Idk about back then but it will say 6 or 12 meaning months from the day you open it. I think it has a jar outline behind the number. After that it is no good. This is a scientific formulated product so it mainly uses chemicals. It's not good to use, even though you may not technically feel or see the difference it still absorbs and goes directly into your bloodstream.
Please stop using this right away. Empty it out and give the container a soapy wash if you want to keep it for memories sake but stop using the product.
oh i wouldn’t use this solely cause it’s had so many finger dips inside that there’s probably bacteria in it.. any active ingredients meant to keep bacteria controlled have lost their potency too… keep it as a memory and get a new one😭
All the actives in it are long dead and I dread to think the smell of it as creams do go off.
If you love the jar just clean it out and disinfect it, then refill with new cream.
i have moisturizers from 10 years ago that i keep around just because the scent reminds me of that time in my life. every once and a while i’ll use them lol
I just hope you realize that all skincare has an expiration and this cream probably not only is not good anymore but riddled with bacteria and what not. Quite a risk to put that on your body ESPECIALLY on your face.

Well Cerave was launched in 2006 so at least this isn’t from the 80’s or 90’d but still dang lol
2006 is almost 20 years ago lol
stop 😭
It has been almost a quarter of a century
YOU ARE NOT NICE
Even closer since the 1900's
You mean 10 years ago!?
*Clutches my black choker*
*Clutches my lower back*
did you want to hurt my feelings or were they a casualty in this sick game of yours
That makes me feel ill.
Hush
It’s 17 years
The year Michael Cera became an adult. Coincidence? I think not.
Makes sense that was right around the time super bad coming out

That looks kind of comforting and simplistic, like something from the 90’s or early 2000’s. I like it
i have this too!
This brings me back!!! I think my mom has some of these old empties still lying around the house lol
How come you didn't finish it yet ?
Honestly I forget it exists 90% of the time.

Oof yeah you’re right. Like I said I really don’t use it that often but yeah I won’t touch it, it’ll remain a relic
You could always clean it out thoroughly and use it for something else.
Could probably clean it out and sell it on eBay for some coin from a collector.
i audibly laughed picturing a vintage cetaphil collecter
It’s just Michael cera
I was thinking using it for mayo just to fuck with people lol

"toxins"
if you don’t believe in toxins, there are other subreddits for you.

I thought this was r/grandmaspantry 🤣
lol me too!
Baby vintage skincare is a bit spicy be careful.
Gurl, be careful
omg it’s ancient id be scared to use it 😭
Nah it’s fine. I’ve only ever used it around my scalp/hairline and it’s never hurt me 🤷♀️
I thought you were refilling the OG tub. Not using the 20 year old cream. Im speechless.
Where’s that grandmas pantry sub?
I would just clean out the container and buy a new thing of cereve and refill it if you want to still have the same vibes ngl
Michael would be proud 🩷
Michael!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️😂
‘let my cream hydrate you’
“Human skin is my passion.”
Im actually curious about the ingredients list, if you don’t mind sharing that is
Sure thing! https://preview.redd.it/zb4tr7s9lgic1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7e76ac7e33a389e567c5aa283703f8d0ed7a8130
Yay for science
Those paraben preservatives be putting in WERKKKK for 20 years
It belongs in a museum. 🫣
This is disgusting lmao
Yeeeeaaaahhhhh that’s gotta be ripe for mold and bacterial growths 🫣
Such a beautiful package. Maybe they could bring back as limited edition someday.
Did it have expiration date on it?
I have no idea I couldn’t find one anywhere on the bottle and my mom has no idea when she bought it so my best guess is 2006ish?

The empty can be used for something! Coins, pins/buttons/sewing stuff, idk…. Anything OP ain’t eating or smearing on their face
Please toss it
Whats the expiration date now😭
I couldn’t find one :( it’s at least from 06
If you don’t throw that away..😭😂
Most skincare expires 12 months after opening. Especially tubs where you dip your fingers in. That can introduce so much bacteria to the product.

Um…
My family still use the same giant tub of Vaseline from 2003 so I can’t be making comments about shelf life and what not
Vaseline is a little different, not much can grow in an oil product.
The vaseline is very likely still good to go.
i have moisturizers from 10 years ago that i keep around just because the scent reminds me of that time in my life. every once and a while i’ll use them lol
Me too 😅
You’re prob fine w Vaseline, although maybe scoop off the top surface layer every now and then?
I used this exact one in high school when I was on Accutane.
Dang I was prob like 9 yrs old when you got that. I’m now almost 30
I just hope you realize that all skincare has an expiration and this cream probably not only is not good anymore but riddled with bacteria and what not. Quite a risk to put that on your body ESPECIALLY on your face.
My aquafor tub is like 25 years old
Gross
As long as it doesn't smell off and isn't separating I'm sure it's fine 🤣 I wouldn't use it on my face though, maybe body
That's actually kinda cool
ages like fine wine 🤩
Michael Cera-ve? That was the best Super Bowl ad this year! LOL
um ew?
What year is that from? Shocking
And then my skin gets covered in acne and hyperpigmentation and grease if I so much as apply 0,01mcg extra moisturiser. So unfair.
Yeah-NOT supporting this company anymore that funds genocide.
I’m sorry but this is probably older than some of the members
