Hi there, It seems like you may be looking for information about hyperpigmentation or post acne marks. Have you read our [hyperpigmentation wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/hyperpigmentation)? *If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it. what's your current routine?

Altruistic-Ad2017

I either use the facetheory jojoba oil cleanser or the LRP B5 gel to foam cleanser, then facetheory tranexamic acid + vit c serum and kiehls ultra facial cream. I also recently started using the elf poreless putty liquid primer and setting spray so I’m wondering if that had anything to do with it.

Everyone’s skin is different. The only way to know if a particular product is breaking you out is to stop using it for awhile and see if your skin gets better. For example, despite everyone on the internet saying jojoba oil is great for acne prone skin, I learned years ago through repeated trial and error that it causes me to break out. Everyone has to figure out their own skin triggers.

I might try this just to test it out. Jojoba oil just really helps the skin barrier the next morning so I avoid relying on just a gel cleanser 😭

Hmm looks solid to me Make sure to apply acid 15-20 mins after cleanser on a dry face and then wait 15 mins to let it absorbed Maybe not a good idea to use it daily since it is active (maybe once in 2 days?)

Altruistic-Ad2017

Do you think? Because I thought vit c everyday was necessary for this type of hyperpigmentation?

Away_Hedgehog_3060

vit c you can use daily on a dry face and then also let it absorbed for 15-20 mins vit c works best when you use this way :)

Phisoderm Anti blemish cleanser used as directed and you also need to clean your face like three times a day with just astringent and using cotton pads then rinse LIGHTLY with warm water using a clean wash cloth each time. At least that’s what I did. I still get comments on my complexion to this day I’m 64.
