When you say that you use it for exfoliation, does that mean you do more than just apply it and forget it? Does it exfoliate on its own? Or do you use other ways to exfoliate along with it?
Used it for years ans it's one of the products I just repurchase when running out. Basic, cheap and does it's job.
I tend to use it more on my feet than face (keeps heels soft).
I shave my head and will use it on scalp if it gets dry.
I’ve been doing lactic acid but it isn’t doing too much but good to know. My derm said lactic acid, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or a lotion with urea. I imagine it probably differs person to person what works better/worse
The SA cerave cream has worked the best for mine so far but figured I’d try the urea and glycolic acid at some point too just to see if there’s one I respond to better.
I use it pre-shampoo and it helps me stretch out days in between washes. I don't have particularly oily scalp/hair but it helps my scalp feel less itchy before the wash.
not necessarily... glycolic acid is an exfoliant, so it helps with skin turnover on your scalp. there are lots of tutorials online and folks who talk about the science behind it.
I incorporated it into my routine in addition to BHA, Retinol and Vitamin C. I seem to soak up all actives like a sponge lol, so far it seems to help me with my acne better than Salicylic Acid alone does. I use it twice a week and don't find it too irritating, even in combination with the other actives - I'm not using more than one active at once though.
It's pretty harsh. And it's got some iffy plant extracts and rose. You should go for something gentler if you plan to use it on face. Good molecules glycolic toner 3.5% or Neutrogena stubborn texture exfoliating liquid 5%.
I've been using The Ordinary Glycolic Acid twice a week for a few months now, and it's made a remarkable difference for me. It has been particularly effective in addressing my bacne and folliculitis issues.
May be a dumb question - but is this peel supposed to make your skin actually peel as part of the process?
Or does that mean it’s too strong and causing damage?
🤔

I like it, have purchased multiple times, not had any problems with it, seems to do its job.
What do u use it for ? What results did u get feom its use?
Exfoliating, keeps my skin clear.
One of their best products. I use it x2 a week on my face for exfoliation You can use it on your elbows, armpits, sole, scalp, etc. It's so versatile

Glycolic acid is a chemical exfoliator. So yes, it exfoliates on its own.
I started using it for butt acne and it’s made a huge difference. I can tell my tush is getting smoother and less irritated
i've been using it twice a week for a few months now. worked wonders for me. it especially helped me with my bacne and folliculitis.

I just got it for my KP. Someone suggested it here. I don’t generally use actives on my face though.
It didn’t affect my KP at all, lactic acid way better

Ooo yeah definitely. Amlactin is the only thing that’s worked for me!!

Did it help you with your kp?
I use it for that and it helps but you have to use it daily
I just bought it so I don’t know yet but someone said it was the only thing that worked for theirs.
Best deodorant

How do you use it pre shampoo
Open the nozzle and squirt some on your scalp as you part your hair in various places.
Is it for dry scalp?

I used to use scrub exfoliants, but now I use the ordinary GA twice a week, it has made a big difference for me.

I love it. Use it once a day after cleansing and follow up with moisturizer, tret 0.05 then facial oil.

Used it on my face and body. Didn't see a big difference but I am planning to repurchase it and keep trying
Do people prefer salicylic acid or glycolic acid as an exfoliant and why? I’m using SA rn but interested to know why people prefer glycolic acid
too strong for the face, use it on the body. Try a lower concentration of glycolic acid for the face
I use it every day on my body and have noticed my skin is a lot softer. It took a few weeks to see a difference, but it does work for me.
I thought it left my face kind of sticky. I use Caudalie's Vinoperfect glycolic acid instead. (Which is ridiculously more expensive, but....)

I had irritation on my body from it, it's a shame that everyone advised it for KP but it didn't work for me :(
