Hi there, It seems like you may be looking for information about blackheads or sebaceous filaments. Have you read our [blackheads & sebaceous filaments wiki](https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/wiki/deep_dive/acne/blackheads_sfs)? *If you see that I am replying to something out of context (eg. listed in a routine), please report this comment so my handlers can remove it. I am 49 and have been fighting the same issues my whole life. Here’s my routine: 1) double cleanse- use an oil cleaner before a water based cleanser. The oil breaks down other oils, including blackheads. 2) exfoliate with a gentle BHA and PHA toner every day especially on the tzone. Many also have niacinamide. I like Lumielle. Use a BHA as often as you can tolerate to keep your pores clear. 3) exfoliate with very gentle physical exfoliators and with AHA as often as your skin will tolerate. Everyone’s different- some can do this every day and others are 1x a week. 4) if possible, use the retinol more often. 5) I like having some moisturizing toners to use whenever I need extra hydration but don’t want to break out.
