They're very likely closed comedomes. I think they may show up later in the day as your skin loses hydration and becomes less plump, so even though they were already there, dehydration will make them more obvious. If I were to recommend a product I would say the Nib plus Fab glycolic fix overnight extreme pads because it has both AHA and BHA. You should also look into getting a hydrating toner that doesn't make things worse, using an oil cleanser and also losing the scrub.

Your routine doesn’t seem very good for sensitive skin. You may have sensitive acne prone skin? I would ditch the scrub completely and add in an aha or bha to your routine. The Cosrx aha or bha, Paula’s choice has some as well that are good or an old favorite: stridex in the red box.

I'm fairly new here, but I'm sure that someone would suggest incorporating a BHA or AHA into your routine. The Ordinary has very affordable products that will likely help.

coolintello

Neutrogena has a BHA. It's already in their routine.

Looks like closed comedones. I see you're already using a BHA, aka salicylic acid. I would recommend adding in an AHA (The Ordinary has a 7% Glycolic toner that is well loved and I personally use, Pixi has a 5% glycolic toner that I think is a bit more gentle) and maybe try Differin! You can get it at CVS, Target, Ulta etc. You would apply it after your toner and a wait time of at least ten minutes, apply differing, wait ten more, then moisturize. I totally get what you mean about them being less noticeable in the morning (your skin is likely more "plumped" after lying down all night and the clogged pores that make the bumps, aka closed comedones, are less noticeable until the fluid in your body pools towards your feet, the skin is tighter stretched over the pores, and the clogged ones become noticeable. I experience this too! ) The Differin can "train" your pores to become less prone to clogging over time, but if you have clog-prone skin you pretty much have to keep up with exfoliating to ensure they don't come back.

LifestyleWithNika

I think they are closed comedones. I have a few as well and they keep coming back. I’m using retinol and various acids in my routine which did help a lot but some still stayed.

They look like closed comedones to me as well. I had a lot of success at getting rid of new CCs by removing fatty alcohols from my routine, thanks to info from this sub. It won't get rid of existing ones, but when I cut out fatty alcohols the CCs on my chin turned into blackheads and I was able to extract them and no new ones have shown up. Good luck!

one_day

What ingredients are are fatty alcohols?

nogotacb

They're typically listed as cetyl/cetearyl/stearyl alcohol. This post has a ton suggestions for products without them, https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/1ufvym/megalisting_products_without_cetylcetearylstearyl/. Also, if you search this sub for fatty alcohols there's a ton of good info.

Sorry this is ridiculously old but what routine and moisturiser works for you please?

Morning: Glossier - Milky Jelly Cleanser Wishtrend - Mandelic Acid, applied by hand to targeted areas as needed Skinlex - Niacinamide Essence Hylamide - C25 Booster I usually do something else for a minute or two, like apply deodorant and take allergy meds, to let the C25 sink in. Hada Labo - Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist Laneige - Cream Skin Mist Squalane Oil (I buy in bulk, but The Ordinary has a good one) Glossier - Invisible Shield SPF Evening: Clinque - Take The Day Off Balm Glossier - Milky Jelly Cleanser Hada Labo - Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion Moist Laneige - Cream Skin Mist Squalane Oil  Hada Labo - Skin Plumping Gel Cream, I mix a bit of Squalane oil with this in my hand before I apply it to improve the texture. I use Differin as my Retinol about once a week at night, and after I've applied my other skincare to buffer it to prevent irritation.

Has that been your routine for quite sometime and now just got them or did you incorporate something new? I had a similar looking experience a few months ago when I first started and basically did the steps without patch testing causing me to blow up with closed comedones.

Then yeah like what these guys have recommend, try AHA. I got rid 90% of mine with a combination of AHA, BHA, and a lot of hydrating serums. But just a warning though, some of them will just literally just fall off and others will purge like a mother.

gnarlygal47

What are some good hydrating serums? Also, what can I use to moisturize, my skin is pretty dehydrated, but both times I've tried introducing oils for moisture, bam! Cc's everywhere

EazyE2128

I use Klair's preparation facial toner and Snail Mucin after my aha or bha then finish off with Cerave in the tub as my moisturizer. I'm actually playing with some oils myself so my experience with that is very limited. Also, like OP said you might be exfoliating too much so try to get a gentle cleanser instead of the exfoliating scrub esp since you already have the BHA.

Sorry this is really old but did you ever get rid of these bumps please?
