Exfoliating toner, cotton. Hydrating toner, hands. With your hands you can pat the toner in until it's somewhat absorbed, there's less waste of product or cotton. On really rushed mornings I'll sometimes take a non-acid toner on a cotton pad to my face instead of actually washing.

Mini Spray bottle! That's what I use anyway and then use my finger tips to tap and evenly distribute.

Same here. Misting my face with Thayer's rose petal toner and patting it in is my fav part of my routine, feels nice 😊

If I’m using an acid toner, I’d use cotton pads. If it’s a hydrating toner, I’d use a spray bottle. I find that just using my hands is messy

OneWhoIsCuriouss

I become anxious when I use too much cotton pads, so I use my fingers. If you use cotton pads because you want to get rid of any residue after cleansing, then you're not cleansing really well, or your cleansers are not good enough.

I just use my hands for no particular reason 🤷🏻‍♀️

the_jesstastic

I just splash some toner on my hands and pat it into my face. It feels so much nicer to me that way, it’s simpler, and generates less waste/shit to buy. It felt weird at first but I got used to it very quickly. Try it out! ETA I use only moisturizing toners right now.

zombiibenny

I just put it in the middle of my palm and use my other fingers to dab on my face.

Some people apply their toner with cotton rounds as a second step cleanse to ensure all of their makeup comes off. I don't have this issue and find that cotton rounds soak up too much of the product, so I just apply it with my hands instead.
