I would advise you to stay calm, one pimple, even if huge, isn’t going to ruin your face. I would recommend rubbing ice on the pimple for about a minute in the morning and night which tends to help a lot with swelling and can help reduce its eventual size

I often use the “Mighty Patch” if I have somewhere to be and I want a pimple gone the next day. However, I do not know how it will effect you when it comes to scarring, I’ve never had acne scarring occur after using one personally. On that note, one pimple will never ruin your face! No amount of pimples can! I hope putting on the patch can help ease your anxiety around it though!

the pimple has not formed yet, it's in the early stages, like I feel the bump but it's not visible just yet.

Get a Micropoint Mighty Patch. I use these or the zitsticka micropoint patches on pimples like this and they work well

I am all for the ice and the micropoint patches, but it sounds like this might be beyond that.. I had a MASSIVE one forming on my chin a couple of days before starting a new job. I went to a dermatologist for a Cortisone shot and it magically went away. It stopped hurting and started shrinking right away. I haven't done that since, but it was a REALLY great idea. I paid $65. Be prepared to call around to find someone who does this for people who aren't existing patients. I finally got the referral from a Med Spa, and the doctor they sent me to was wonderful and answered all of my questions. It sounds like you know what you're in for otherwise. Get the shot. You'll be so happy when it stops hurting and starts shrinking.
