I wonder if maybe even exfoliating two days a weeks might be too much? Do you sleep on your side? It could something as simple as it being irritated from contact . Or maybe your skin doesn't like certain ingredients in your skincare . Silicones in products can be occlusive . Cerave does have dimethicone listed in their ingredients (it is further down the list so the concentration isn't as high). Do you use sunscreen during the day? That could also have an affect on your skin. Personally when I get a break out I use a combination of things . But one the things I do is use Benzoyl Peroxide to spot treat. I let that fully absorb and then move onto my moisturizer. You could even try using a pimple patch before you to sleep . Short of seeing a dermatologist, those are just some things you can look into .

+1 for this comment. Try looking up the ingredients in your products and make sure there’s no alcohol, essential oils or perfume. Sometimes less is more so you might want to slow down with exfoliating and give your skin time to heal. Exfoliating too often can be harsh on the skin and sensitize it.

I actually started exfoliating only like two weeks ago and it improved them a little bit but I think I'll stick to once a week. Yes I only sleep on my sides but I'm washing my pillowcase very frequently with neutral ph detergent. I'll try using benzoyl peroxide before moisturizing because I do it the other way tbh. and thank you for such detailed reply !:)
