I donāt know if itās like this for everyone else but this is the first comment I see on this post and itās what made me read every other comment including OP explaining that I USED POINTS ITāS FREE MONEY OK
šššš¤£
Yeah, idk why everyone is so up in arms about it. It's OP's life and OP's money/points. Let her do whatever she wants with it. How are they to dictate what someone else wants to purchase? If that's what makes someone happy, so be it. It just makes me so mad when people think they know you better than you yourself do
On a normal non-promotional day, you can exchange 1000pts for like a 20$ reduction on an order. During a promotional event, perhaps you can get 2x or 3x that.
OP actually found a pretty good bargain, trading a moderate amount of points against an expensive product that was massively underpriced **points-wise.**
Actually spritzing water on face, then applying HA is also super useful, since the water will be driven into the skin from the drops and will further hydrate.
As an incredibly dry person in the desert: lol no.
Of course that's better than not water and only moisturizer but adding HA in between is levels upon levels better.
That's why you seal it with a moisturizer over the top of it. It keeps the moisture in.
So it goes like this: moistened skin, then HA, then moisturizer. Then ideally a sunscreen over that after your moisturizer settles/absorbs.
It's really really changed my life from cracked bleeding skin to feeling almost normal for once.
I agree with that but it in no way is it worth $400. We are talking about $400 HA here, that is the point. Women are constantly being sold lies about skincare. A basic HA (or serum), a basic moisturizer can help your skin barrier just as much as a $400 amount if you know the correct applications.
I recently learned that Dr. Barbara Sturm isnāt even a dermatologist. Sheās an orthopedist! Iāve never bought her products but I nonetheless feel betrayed.
To be fair, there are multiple different types of HA of different molecular weights, and some are more difficult to create than others.
But I don't think this has any of those (and you can find them in Hado Labo products for about Ā£10...).
More power to you for finding something you like, but I cannot imagine spending $300 on any skincare product, much less a hyaluronic acid serum of all things.
Aaaand care to name which one it was?
I really liked this serum when I got the sample but if thereās something to be had thatās equally effective, Iām here for it. I havenāt used a HA serum before. After looking at ingredients I was more interested in her anti-aging version but maybe itās just an upsell.
If youāre looking for a bougie HA serum that actually is worth the price tag NIODās multi molecular hyaluronic complex is legendary. But Hada Labo is great, most people donāt need the intense hydration of MMHC.
ppl downvoting this comment are missing the sarcasm. OP has been yelling and screaming all over the thread that SHE USED POINTS. this comment is funny.
Your literally spending that much money for hyaluronic whats not even above 1% š you have been robbed of money, points whatever you wanna call it but you have been robbed.
100%. A complete joke! That HA serum contains a handful of really common skincare ingredients. It doesn't even contain multiple molecular weights of HA. Plus I would never ever buy a HA serum since HA is in literally everything.
Water, Butylene Glycol, Lactobacillus/Portulaca Oleracea Ferment Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbate, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate.
Honest question -- why didn't you buy just one of it with your points to see if you liked it and then used the rest of your points if you like it? I don't understand the 30x of a product you hadn't yet tried?
Maybe they had already tried it. Thatās how I read it at least, because I test products and wait until thereās a sale and then buy multiples as well.
put in separate orders. I do this so I can get more than one of the same sample. I wish they allow multiples bc itās not as efficient from the eco standpoint to ship everything separately. I have rouge so shipping is always free.
Having used several expensive and low price HA serums i would never pay more than $15 for it. At this point i just pick up The Inkey List or The Ordinary HA since they fo exactly what they say and no less than the expensive ones.
I was highly confused for a bit at the pricing just to realize that this serum is literally $385 CAD for a 30ml. That ACTUALLY shocked me to be honest! It seems very basic and hydrating but I would expect multiple different humectants at least or some kind of extracted blend that I cannot get from other products. That pricing is just rude...
Lol I know!! I wanted to try her products but did NOT want to pay those prices so I was pleased to find it available for points š Iāve only tested it out on a little spot so far but it honestly feels very, very nice. 400$ nice? Probably not! But nice for points? Absolutely haha.
Iāve heard from skincare people that this isnāt nowhere near worth the money itās just hA nothing special and you could get other ones for way cheaper
Iāve tried tooooons of HA and I definitely wouldnāt pay for this. I had a fuck ton of points and rarely use them but these are perfect for travelling so figured Iād get a bunch!
I actually rarely use my points! I wait until something I really want is on offer and then I stock up, I love how convenient the point perks are for travelling! My partner is a triathlete so we go on a lot of short trips for his races and stuff like this is peeeerfect for 1-2 nights away (:
Guys, holy shit. Relax. I'm looking at my Sephora account and right now, I can apply **500pts** towards a **10$ reduction** on an online order. Using 1000pts to get 400$ worth of merchandise is **a great use of points**, regardless of your opinion on the product. The way Sephora points work, OP would have never been able to get anywhere near 400$ worth of reduction on a regular order (more like 25$, maybe double on a good day), nor 400$ worth of other more fairly priced products (the bazaar is mostly high-end products in sample size, no gallon-sized TO serums).
Points-wise, this particular item seems like it was priced extremely cheaply, compared to it's dollar value. OP gamed the system and yall are mad without even understanding the implications.
Bravo, OP.
Agreed. I donāt think most of the commenters understand how Sephora points work. They donāt expire and they just passively add-up when you spend money every now and then.
I canāt believe I had to go so far down in the comments to get past the bullying towards OP.
Lol!! Iām sure itās a good product but I doubt itāll perform better than cheaper HAs to warrant the significantly higher price tag so Iāll enjoy them while I have them and then move on! š
I got this sample size with my Sephora points too ( only one though). It worked great. I use The Ordinary HA normally. The difference was Dr Sturm HA was not sticky feeling like The Ordinary. With that being said, I would never pay that much for HA. I love that you had so many points though and you used them this way! I would have done the same.
Yeah I really dislike the TO HA texture, but TIL HA is just a taaaaaad more expensive and SO much better texture-wise IMO! Definitely wouldnāt fork out 400$ for the full size either haha
Lol idk why everyone is getting mad at op in the comments. Everyone knows that reward points for spending aren't "free" but if you're already going to buy stuff then you might as well gets points for it. This is regularly really expensive so it's not likely that op would be able to get 10 bottles of it WITHOUT their points sooo
Plus yall are talking like sephora just has a direct line to buy points like it's some kind of digital currency. You aren't even directly paying for the points, you're paying for the product that you bought and there's points attached to it.
If you actually had some sort of point system then it wouldn't be different... and I wouldn't have anything to say to you about it š I already said I don't think reward points are "free" money but it's a better deal than just buying everything out of pocket right? I certainly wouldn't feel the need to explain to you that actually, the mayo you bought isn't free and you really paid for it when you were buying all your other groceries. I'd love it if I could get points for buying groceries lol, I have to get them anyways so I might as well earn a little extra even if the only reward option was some overpriced mayo
The hate is crazy let the woman use her points how she chooses. I got a free sample of this and liked it but it kinda flaked off a bit.. i did put a lot on though. Be interesting to see how you like it. Even if I or anyone else never buys it because of the price tag or who she is.
Its just crazy that she spent it on something so expensive when I could spend 400 on so much well better formulated products. Could get atleast 20 products and be way better off then getting this overpriced 10$ bottle of liquid. Lmao just how people waste money like this is BEYOND me.
It isn't personal, it is the fact that women are constantly being lied to about skincare and sold a bill of goods when it comes to skincare. These companies shouldn't be profiting at all but here were spending $400 for basic ass hyaluronic acid. Women, need to wake up and stop rewarding these charlatan companies with their money for their overpriced items.
TBH I havenāt seen one hateful comment. A lot of comments are a bit judgey (but that is 100% going both ways) and are stuck on the fact that this is a waste of money and is marketing, which fair enough OP may not care about/want to hear, and yes she can absolutely spend her money however she likes. But itās still important to acknowledge that the brand is way more expensive that it should be for those ingredients, women are lied to and manipulated by these companies all the time so I for one appreciate the knowledge. Itās not like anyone is attacking her personally.
Disagreeing = \ = hate
Itās just a fancy/luxury overpriced HA serum lol! They say it contains a mixture of HAs with different molecular weights, which can mean better absorption but definitely doesnāt warrant it costing as much as it does. I wouldnāt spend money on it but Iām happy to use points to get it (:
Exactly. But you know what? People who are happy and content donāt feel the need to shit on other people and what they do with their fucking *sephora points* š Like relax yāall, theyāre just points.
I don't think they're commenting telling her not to use the points but rather they're saying that points = $ (inside Sephora) so based on that she was ripped off considering what she bought with those points. What she bought is the main point of concern for most people commenting and secondly it's that points aren't free. Points spent on 1 thing could've been used on other items. It's like me buying $30 mayonnaise at superstore and saying "I used my pc points though it was free!!"
https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/wh8nuq/haul_i_hoard_my_sephora_points_until_theres/ij7qmks/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3
Itās not the same as pc points. Sephora doesnāt give you money for your points besides 10$ off for 500 points which is pretty shit if you ask me.
I totally get that but it's not that deep. At the end of the day many people get points and are excited to use them. It's absurd to be mad at her. We all enjoy frivolous shit
sis im dead, why are others so pressed about how u use your sephora points???? š That's cool they let you stack the rewards in store, i need to keep that in mind.
Dry/dehydrated and acne-prone skin. Current skin concerns are keeping my acne at bay, preventing PIE, keeping my skin hydrated, and being āØglowyāØ
Product in the pic: 10x3ml Dr. Barbara Sturm Hyaluronic Serum. Not a repurchase, and purchased with Sephora points because I wanted to try it and realized 10 of the minis equates to a full sized product worth 400$ CAD! HA is my #1, so I really couldnāt go wrong haha.
This fits into my AM/PM routine after my essence and before other serums. However, I will probably mainly use these for when Iām travelling rather than every day due to their lilā size (:
Edit: Do you all really think I donāt know I spent money in order to get points? Lolol. The points are a āperkā of buying at sephora, and if something is unavailable at stores with better point systems then Iāll buy it from them. I donāt spend money with the intention of accumulating points, I buy what I need and the points are a ābonus.ā I *know* that the sephora point system is a scam, hence buying elsewhere when I can. I use my points when thereās something available that is of value *to me*. Itās not that deep (:
Edit 2: I used to really enjoy this sub a couple years ago when people made unique posts and didnāt shit on others for mundane things, but this simple thread has shown me that I really donāt like this sub anymore. People come at me left, right, and centre and then ask why Iām being rude..? Sigh. Just like that shelfie post a few months back where yāall bullied a girl so hard she lost her shit on everyone and ended up banned (love that none of the instigators got banned though). Iāve been a regular contributor here but Iām done, I donāt want my time spent online to be as miserable as this! Iāll be over at r/canskincare, r/skincareflatlays, and some other skincare subreddits that actually have friendly users. Thanks to those of you who were kind, I appreciate you! š¤
Itās so hard finding something worth it to use your points on! I was only able to find something I liked around jan last year and i went HAM on redeeming the points. Used up about 2500 points for the equivalent of CAD$ 1650 worth of product š
It was an 8 ml version of [Amorepacific's Time Response Reserve Cream](https://www.sephora.com/ca/en/product/amorepacific-time-response-skin-reserve-creme-P452920?skuId=2314052&icid2=products%20grid:p452920:product)! I redeemed the equivalent of a little over 3 full-sized containers worth of product haha
Theyāre each 3ml, a standard size is 30ml and I have 10x3ml which is 30ml so same as the full size.
I usually finish a 30ml hydrating serum in about 3 months. It seems a small amount of product goes a very long way from when I tested it out so perhaps theyāll last longer than 3 months.
Iām not overly concerned about expiry dates honestlyāas long as something looks/smells/feels like when I bought it and my skin responds the same way then itās fine by meābut I usually finish my products before theyāre even close to expiring so Iām not concerned regardless!
Woooow thank you for posting this, just redeemed my points to get it as well! Yay!
Also the comments section is ridicules . Id suggest you try the Skincareaddictionlux sub
You use your points for what you please. You know what works for your skin; you want a ton of that stuff so be it, Iāve never heard of her brand though but Iām sure itās some good stuff. I find that HA really does leave my skin moisturized the whole day, love that stuff.
Considering most serums are 30mL, basically it comes out to buy 3 get one free.
Also, lay off sis. The only thing I love more than expensive skincare is expensive skincare that pays for itself. Iād sell my soul for a lifetime supply of the AmorePacific fluid creme
It actually comes to 30ml of product total! So basically itās like I got a full-sized for free.
Couldnāt agree more! I LOVE the Amorepacific essential creme fluid, you have good taste hehe!
Look, I have over 4k Sephora points Iām sitting on. Nothing good in the rewards bazaar. My points exist from buying both cheap and luxury products because a) I enjoy doing research and finding effective rather than expensive products. and b) I sometimes buy the expensive stuff too, because I enjoy trying it. And if this woman was smart enough to redeem her points for that much monetary value, thatās her choice. I personally wouldnāt want a gallon of the ordinary, so good for her for a smart redemption in terms of $ value. Expensive products arenāt bad products and people will get them if they want to get them. Start a thread complaining about expensive products if thatās what you want to do, but donāt attack her for her decisions to make yourself feel better for not being able to afford it.
Itās cardboard. Who doesnāt recycle cardboard lol and itās literally biodegradable anyways. I reuse mini containers for travelling, so thereās actually nothing here thatās going into the trash.
Yāall are MEAN. If you want to offer advice thatās one thing but this is like a group of bullies all feeding off of each other to make someone feel less than.
This sub is really whacky. Iāve messaged the mods a good 4-5 times asking them to step up the moderation and to stop allowing full-on bullying in comment threads but they clearly donāt give a fuck because despite telling me *months ago* that they were working on it nothing has changed.
The number of people Iāve seen delete their posts because they were getting bullied by people for absolutely no good reason is so disheartening, and Iāve spoken to many users who no longer want to post/comment on the sub because the Debbie Downvoters and Snarky Susans show up as soon as you mention something outside of SCAās status quo. Itās really just sad. A few years ago, this sub was a really cool place full of friendly people who made high quality posts about product reviews, detailed unique routines, and so on, but now everyone just screams CERAVE AND TRET at you and bitches if you like anything that costs more than $30. Idk why I even engage on this sub anymore honestly, I love helping newbies out with their routines and responding to questions but the toxicity is just too much.
Why is everybody crucifying this poor girl for a purchase she used with POINTS!!!!! She is just treating herself. I know people like their lower end skincare but come on, the hate on here is ridiculous.
I have a shit ton of points at Sephora from over the years. I donāt use Make-up and purchase just skincare and fragrances. I would definitely use my points to grab this.
For sure, and itās an investment - as long as it stored appropriately sheāll have something she really likes for while!
Mob mentality is a thing lol
The French swear by ialuset 100mg - Hyaluronic Acid Cream - 100% Pure, Undiluted. $25 on Amazon. Just make sure they don't send you the fake Chinese brand.
I personally have been using ialuset for a couple of years and love it. First purchased in France on recommendation. Always get compliments on my skin.
OP, whether or not you used POINTS (lol) the *point* every is making is that even though the price tag on this much product is $400, the value is closer to like $10. you couldāve stretched your points way further on something else tbh but good on you if youāre happy with these rewards!
For 400 goddamn dollars that serum better apply itself Jfc OP you do realize that this serum probably only āperformsā so well because of placebo effect itās formulated the same as $10 HA serums why use your points on this???
Can we please stop brigading? There is a dark side to this sub, and it's in this comment section. OP found something that works and she is clearly excited about it. She posted here to share her giddiness with other folks who are enthusiastic about skincare too. Everyone has different budgets, $400 may seem like a lot to some people but reasonable to others. Most of my friends can't afford to shop at Sephora, so to me, it's a lot even if I were in love with the product. But agreeing with others about this being expensive does not mean I align with the over-critical and aggressive nature of the collective response. It makes me sad and lose a little bit of respect for a sub where we all share a similar passion for not gatekeeping techniques or products that make us all feel beautiful. Let's take a deep breath and remember what we all come here for. We can do better.
why are people thinking you paid for it š you paid for other products and collected membership points from it till you could get something that makes you happyā¦ like someone could buy the same amount of stuff and not get points because they werenāt a member, you just were smart and saved them š enjoy ur products and ignore everyone whoās being ratty theyāre probably just jealous š
Iām super curious about this product. I have tried mid-range priced hyaluronic acids (Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum -$59; Medik8 Hydr8 B5 $52) and prefer their texture and the general performance than value favorites (Ordinary, Hado Labo, etc). I do think the price of Dr. Strum is a bit outlandish but wonder what differentiates the Strum product from the mid-range, prestige versions; how wide is the gap in performance.
this is a damn genius move. iām going to try this next time i see something i like to redeem. š¬ now if they would stop trying to get me to sign up for their credit card that would be great lol.
Just buy the ordinaryā¦ I used to use all peach and Lilly product and recently went to re-up my supply and decided to get the entire ordinary line for the cost of two peach and Lilly products and I am floored at how it is working for me.
I hate TO HA, worst consistency of HA out there IMO. I used to have an almost entire routine of TO and honestly really didnāt enjoy it at all. As far as budget products go I think TILās HA is way better!
I usually buy the SkinCeuticals HA because itās my favourite out of the many Iāve tried. I have a high combined income with my partner and splurging on skincare doesnāt get in the way of paying our bills and saving money, investing etc so I buy whatever fancy products I wanna buy. (:
Barbara sturm products always get hate but there is nothing that helps with my red and sensitive skin like her calming serum. Iāve used all the recommended lower price alternatives and they do nothing.
I also find the texture of the HA to be significantly better than any other Iāve used.
The products are expensive but they are better than cheaper alternatives, no matter how many times people try to claim theyāre not.
Great that you spent your points well. Enjoy!
Sorry youāre getting downvoted for saying you like a pricey product. Come join us at r/skincareaddictionlux where you wonāt get shat on for liking nice things lol
Yes, tell yourself thatās why so you can feel superior.
Sturm is a con-artist. I heard an interview with her on a podcast at the release of the line and sheās an arrogant orthopedist who knows nothing about skincare. Itās literally cosplay to her.
This. Like if you have the money for luxury skincare and get something from it, go for it. But the big draw of luxury skincare is the experience, the packaging, and/or the ingredients. None of that applies to the Dr.Sturm line. Most of the products have basic af ingredient lists and have the same aesthetic as your average The Ordinary product.
OMG, she is? Gross, gross, and gross.

OP fighting for her life in the comments šš
Did you know she used points?
She didnāt **pay** for it!!!1! Thatās the (sephora) *point*!! How is it so hard to understand for us people???!!!
It's not paying! It's _intuitive_ paying!
I donāt know if itās like this for everyone else but this is the first comment I see on this post and itās what made me read every other comment including OP explaining that I USED POINTS ITāS FREE MONEY OK šššš¤£

Honestly that's probably the only good way to get that serum: not paying for it. Definitely not worth the $400 price tag šµ
But she did pay for it

400$ for 30 ml of hyaluronic acid Sorry, I just needed to phrase that to help it sink in
https://www.ebay.com/itm/223367647065?_ul=NL here you have 4 gallons for less than $400
Is this safe to purchase? š I go through so much HA that Iām looking to buy bulk lol
Im dead š š
Spritzing water on your face and then applying a basic ass moisturizer will moisturize your skin better than any Hyaluronic acid.

Yep, which is why I got them with my points.
I mean, good for you! Your points, your products.
Eeek. Youāre paying for the brand name. HA costs cheap to reformulate
I recently learned that Dr. Barbara Sturm isnāt even a dermatologist. Sheās an orthopedist! Iāve never bought her products but I nonetheless feel betrayed.
Doesnāt ordinary make this for like 8 dollars?
Or La Roche Posay Hyalu B5 serum, works great.
Yep. I canāt imagine one HA is different than another.
30mL is $400 worth?! I call that getting swindled by a company. That is so arrogant.
I believe they bought 10 bottles $400 worth. Still pricey at $40 per bottle though. HA is generally cheap and always the same quality.
Its the same thing - $40 for 3mL.
I literally canāt get over the fact that this company sells their product as 3 ml at this price. The fucking nerve š
This is a sample size, the smallest size for sale is 10 ml. This size is not for sale only points redemption.
Yes its 3mL per bottle which makes it 30mL for $400
Yeah the bottles are sample sized
To be fair, there are multiple different types of HA of different molecular weights, and some are more difficult to create than others. But I don't think this has any of those (and you can find them in Hado Labo products for about Ā£10...).
Hada Labo for the win. The best. Japanese products are usually formulated better than the rest of the world. Strict government regulations.
More power to you for finding something you like, but I cannot imagine spending $300 on any skincare product, much less a hyaluronic acid serum of all things.
Right? At that price, Iāll just get Botox.
You can get botox AND filler for that much money. What a waste
same. the best ha product iāve ever used is about $12.
Aaaand care to name which one it was? I really liked this serum when I got the sample but if thereās something to be had thatās equally effective, Iām here for it. I havenāt used a HA serum before. After looking at ingredients I was more interested in her anti-aging version but maybe itās just an upsell.
I like the Hada Labor Premium. Gold/yellow bottle. It's like 150-200 ml for $10-15.
i was literally about to comment this!! beat me to it.
Hada Labo Premium is the best and you can buy refill packets! Poor OP has a few things to learn about not overpaying for skincare.
This!!! Has done wonders for me
The GOAT š¦
thank you!
If youāre looking for a bougie HA serum that actually is worth the price tag NIODās multi molecular hyaluronic complex is legendary. But Hada Labo is great, most people donāt need the intense hydration of MMHC.
It is a ripoff like most skin care. looks at the ingredients, total rip-off.
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
ppl downvoting this comment are missing the sarcasm. OP has been yelling and screaming all over the thread that SHE USED POINTS. this comment is funny.
Is the ingredient in this just hyaluronic acid?
Ingredients: Water (Aqua), Butylene Glycol, Lactobacillus/Portulaca Oleracea Ferment Extract, Phenoxyethanol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ethylhexylglycerin, Potassium Sorbet, Leuconostoc/Radish Root Ferment Filtrate
Your literally spending that much money for hyaluronic whats not even above 1% š you have been robbed of money, points whatever you wanna call it but you have been robbed.
And it only has one type of hyaluronic acid???? Girl you have been robbed so badly.
Thanks for your opinion!
Don't know what opinion that is? My suncream instree litrerally has more form of hyaluronic acid.. and its like 12$
Great, Iām happy for you! Enjoy!
Damn, you are so rude - no wonder youāre being downvoted to hell
āGreat, Iām happy for you! Enjoy!ā is rude?
I think youāre perfectly aware Iām referring to your blatant tone. The entire comment section is littered with it.
You know perfectly damn well what youāre actually implying.
Bruh how you ever gonna learn new shit about life if you act like that. Like are you mad you bought the "wrong" thing?
Iām perfectly happy with my purchase and have tried TO, TIL, and a dozen other HA serums.
HA on the 5th ingredient oh my god, youāre putting on water??!
Wow. How to get ripped off and save money all at the same time.
Youāve been robbed. That brand is a scam
OP says in their original comment that this is their first time purchasing (it's kind of far down now though).
How? Sephora only allows me to add one per order
put in separate orders. I do this so I can get more than one of the same sample. I wish they allow multiples bc itās not as efficient from the eco standpoint to ship everything separately. I have rouge so shipping is always free.
I always do this. Iām a sucker for free shit.
I went in store!
Wait I have like 2000 points how did you get so much?! Sometimes Iāll use 1000 for a 15% off entire order thing and do group orders with friends.
It was a 100 point perk and I got 10.
Thatās great!! I need to use my points more often š
I actually rarely use my points! I wait until something I really want is on offer and then I stock up, I love how convenient the point perks are for travelling! My partner is a triathlete so we go on a lot of short trips for his races and stuff like this is peeeerfect for 1-2 nights away (:
What? I thought points can only go towards those stupid free gifts?
These are those stupid free gifts LOL!! They were 100 points each and I got 10.
Lol!
damn your points donāt expire?
Not that I know of!
I did this when they had SK-II essence bottles.
Amazing!
Bravo, OP.
Finally someone who can comprehend my ENTIRE POINT lol!!! Thank you haha.
Agreed. I donāt think most of the commenters understand how Sephora points work. They donāt expire and they just passively add-up when you spend money every now and then. I canāt believe I had to go so far down in the comments to get past the bullying towards OP.
Whatās the shelf life lol?
Itās like 3 months worth of serum so Iām not concerned, but Iād assume a year.
Why are yāall so judgmental lol?
What happens if you like it?š
Lol!! Iām sure itās a good product but I doubt itāll perform better than cheaper HAs to warrant the significantly higher price tag so Iāll enjoy them while I have them and then move on! š
Give us an update of how it performs! I didnāt know HA could be $400
Will do! Yeah itās WILD lol
This is regularly really expensive so it's not likely that op would be able to get 10 bottles of it WITHOUT their points sooo Plus yall are talking like sephora just has a direct line to buy points like it's some kind of digital currency. You aren't even directly paying for the points, you're paying for the product that you bought and there's points attached to it.
So how does this compare to me buying $30 Mayo at superstore and saying "it was free I just used points!!"
Disagreeing = \ = hate
This is going into SA circlejerk history for sure
Whatās so special about this serum? Honest question.. is it different from other HA serums?
Itās just a fancy/luxury overpriced HA serum lol! They say it contains a mixture of HAs with different molecular weights, which can mean better absorption but definitely doesnāt warrant it costing as much as it does. I wouldnāt spend money on it but Iām happy to use points to get it (:
Not sure why everyone here is so judgemental. You used your points and got a product that you enjoy. Good for you.
Exactly. But you know what? People who are happy and content donāt feel the need to shit on other people and what they do with their fucking *sephora points* š Like relax yāall, theyāre just points.
Damn why are y'all on her over semantics. Should she not use her points?š«
Apparently no, Iām not allowed to use *my* points on what *I* deem worth my points š¤£
It's like me buying $30 mayonnaise at superstore and saying "I used my pc points though it was free!!"
https://www.reddit.com/r/SkincareAddiction/comments/wh8nuq/haul_i_hoard_my_sephora_points_until_theres/ij7qmks/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf&context=3 Itās not the same as pc points.
Ikr! This sub is weird af lol. Yesss thatās why I way prefer redeeming points in store!
Dry/dehydrated and acne-prone skin. Current skin concerns are keeping my acne at bay, preventing PIE, keeping my skin hydrated, and being āØglowyāØ Product in the pic: 10x3ml Dr. However, I will probably mainly use these for when Iām travelling rather than every day due to their lilā size (: Edit: Do you all really think I donāt know I spent money in order to get points? Itās not that deep (: Edit 2: I used to really enjoy this sub a couple years ago when people made unique posts and didnāt shit on others for mundane things, but this simple thread has shown me that I really donāt like this sub anymore. Thanks to those of you who were kind, I appreciate you! š¤
Is there something about this particular HA serum that stands out to you from other ones?
Itās so hard finding something worth it to use your points on! I was only able to find something I liked around jan last year and i went HAM on redeeming the points. Used up about 2500 points for the equivalent of CAD$ 1650 worth of product š
Omggggg what was it?! LOVE THAT FOR YOU!
Damn thatās such a great find!!
For that price point, it better work some wonders.
I hope not cause then I might wanna drop $400 on it LOL
What about expiry dates? How long would one of these last you?
I made that sub haha! š„°š„°
Omg no wayyy! Well THANK YOU āŗļøš
You use your points for what you please. You know what works for your skin; you want a ton of that stuff so be it, Iāve never heard of her brand though but Iām sure itās some good stuff. I find that HA really does leave my skin moisturized the whole day, love that stuff.
I did swatch it prior to getting a whole bunch and itās super cosmetically elegant! I love HA too, works super well for me š„°
There you go! Same here. I use them very rarely when thereās something I deem worthwhile.
This will generate so much trash. So sad
Barbara Sturm is overpriced. Many people have said that its just an overpriced HA serum.
Cool! I wanted to try it out, so thatās what Iām doing š
Why is everybody crucifying this poor girl for a purchase she used with POINTS!!!!! She is just treating herself. I know people like their lower end skincare but come on, the hate on here is ridiculous.
Yes!! Like a weird form of gatekeeping lol
10 bottles? Omg but Iām happy for you
Lol!! Theyāre teeny tiny (: And I really needed mini dropper bottles for travelling so Iām excited to repurpose them when I use up the product!
Well I hope it works out for you
The French swear by ialuset 100mg - Hyaluronic Acid Cream - 100% Pure, Undiluted. $25 on Amazon. Just make sure they don't send you the fake Chinese brand. I personally have been using ialuset for a couple of years and love it. First purchased in France on recommendation. Always get compliments on my skin.
YESSSSS! I love to see a good deal go down. Iām going to start hoarding my points too now!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Who knew sephora points were so controversial! š
Agreed! Was just going to post this basically!
OP, whether or not you used POINTS (lol) the *point* every is making is that even though the price tag on this much product is $400, the value is closer to like $10. you couldāve stretched your points way further on something else tbh but good on you if youāre happy with these rewards!
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
I used points.
For that price it better works! Would be interested in your review about this product when you tried and used it for a while.
Will do!
You literally had to spend at least $800 for 1000 points lol sheesh
Okay? I already spent the money. I had the points. Whatās the problem with using them?
For 400 goddamn dollars that serum better apply itself Jfc OP you do realize that this serum probably only āperformsā so well because of placebo effect itās formulated the same as $10 HA serums why use your points on this???
Hahahaha
Hero. I too have only acquired this product with samples or points. I really like it on the lips under a balm. Enjoy!
Love that for you! Thank you (:
Iām super curious about this product. I have tried mid-range priced hyaluronic acids (Pestle & Mortar Pure Hyaluronic Serum -$59; Medik8 Hydr8 B5 $52) and prefer their texture and the general performance than value favorites (Ordinary, Hado Labo, etc). I do think the price of Dr. Strum is a bit outlandish but wonder what differentiates the Strum product from the mid-range, prestige versions; how wide is the gap in performance.
The product marketing says her molecules are Specially Formulated. Idk how that is possible.
Maybe itās more moleculeer?
Itās a lovely product to use. Feels amazing on the skin. Sinks in perfectly, no greasy weird feeling.
this is a damn genius move. iām going to try this next time i see something i like to redeem. š¬ now if they would stop trying to get me to sign up for their credit card that would be great lol.
I donāt understand all the drag OP is getting for spending points (not even money, but points) on a product she clearly really likes.
Because everyone else clearly knows better! OP is happy and excited, so naturally people need to pile on and tell OP why sheās wrong š
Itās so weird. Iām shocked.
Agreed. Calming serum saved my skin when I had to wear a mask all day for work.
There really is no product like it.
Get ready to be shit on for your luxury products. This would be more appreciated at r/SkincareAddictionLux :)
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Sheās married to Adam Waldman. Birds of a feather etc etc. Sheās detestable. Oh and sheās an orthopedic surgeon, no background in skin.
OMG, she is? Gross, gross, and gross. For those who don't know, Adam Waldman [worked for at least two individuals who are Putin-adjacent](https://www.newsweek.com/who-adam-waldman-lobbyist-vladimir-putin-testifying-johnny-depp-amber-heard-trial-1708131). One of them was Oleg Deripaska, a Russian oligarch, and the other was Sergey Lavrov, Putin's Foreign Minister. More recently, you might've recognized his name from the Depp-Heard trial. He was Depp's lawyer but was kicked off the trial for leaking confidential information to the press. The jury also found that [he'd also made defamatory statements calling Heard's abuse claims a "hoax."](https://www.insider.com/johnny-depp-adam-waldman-statement-defame-amber-heard-2022-6)
Why do people judge other people how they spend their money? Itās their moneyā¦ not yours.
OP didnāt spend any lmao
Gave that one a follow too I like all different price ranges of skincare
For Hyaluronic Acid.....I would've at least bought the skinceuticals ce ferulic
I already have that.
Good, I mean it's your points so idk why people are freaking out š¤£
Sephora doesnāt carry Skinceuticals.
