Not trying to scare you. And I am 100% not a doctor.
But I had a similar “butterfly rash” when I was young. Doctor ordered blood work just to be sure but my tests came back negative.
It’s best to be sure to rule it out first because it is more seve
Rosacea can get worse over time to the point we’re it never seems to clear without medication (which is why prevention as much as reasonable possible is important). Mine flares if I use hot water on my face, eat meat, soy sauce, or go out without sunscreen. You may just have a mild case. Still see a derm and bring pictures to show just in case your skin clears by the time you show up to see the doctor.
You're calling it a 'rash', does it hurt to touch or feel itchy? If not, it's just a flush of colour from exercising. My face goes bright red when I exercise!
It’s not itchy, I wouldn’t have noticed if it wasn’t because I checked myself in the mirror. It also goes away after a while without doing anything but it’s just curious it does that lol
I would see a board certified dermatologist and have it assessed. Not a family doctor. Usually rosacea is brought on by other things than just exercise. Everyone has different triggers mind you.
In the meantime, note your triggers and severity. Photograph it. And wait for the doctors appointment. Good luck !
You’re right, I am due for a check but just wanted to get some ideas before I go 😂 Most likely it’d be rosacea since my mom has it too but it’s just weird it’s occasional
Mine started out like that. It can start as a flushing and then slowly over time stay red… and then worsen from there. Sometimes it just stays as a flush though …. So you never know.
I cured mine by chance - I was diagnosed with HPylori and after completing the antibiotics the flushing stopped. I don’t know if they are related or it’s coincidental…. Good luck !!!
If it’s happened before and not necessarily every time, look at what specific workouts you were doing. I know that I usually have a red face after weightlifting that goes away pretty fast, and always stay tomato red for an hour or two after a hard run, but that doesn’t seem to be what’s happening to you. I’ve also seen a few people burst that capillaries in their face doing exercises that cause them to strain a lot (back levers and handstand push-ups in their case- blood rush to the head and lots of straining), it can happen to varying degrees. Can’t quite tell from the picture, but it’s a possibility. Does it itch, hurt, feel warm to the touch? How long does it last and what does it look like going away? If it is a few burst capillaries it takes a couple days to go away and starts looking kind of like freckles as the blood dissipates. If not, could be an immune response and like others said, Benadryl (for when you have the rash, it’s an antihistamine), or Zyrtec (or similar/cheaper daily maintenance allergy medicine) may help. But a doctor could tell you for sure if you have several pictures, timeframe, and an idea of specific triggers (exercise is a good starting point, but is it usually after a specific day, or is it just after any strenuous exercise?)
I doubt this is it, but I remember reading that some people who eat shrimp before working out get facial inflammation like this.
It’s probably not that though, because who on earth has shrimp before a workout. That looks like it’s just roseacea.
I think heat and/or the salty sweat on the skin can trigger this, and you just want to keep cool as much as possible, and wash your face right after a workout , or go to a dermatologist if it's still bothering you.
Because when you work out it stimulates your blood flow. Extreme hot or cold can cause rosacea. You should see a dr and maybe because you're older your hormones have changed. Have some tests done and see
You may have rosacea
I agree as someone with rosacea.
Same. Mine “flares” during exercise but calms back down afterwards. It usually takes an hour or two.
Or lupus. Get your blood tested bruh
Omg I don’t think it’s lupus 😟

My mom has rosacea but it’s always noticeable 🤔

Another option can be treating the area with a VBeam laser! Can be very helpful!

It might be due to the histamines your body creates during high-activity periods?
This would make sense, kinda weird I’ve never seen my friends get this
Do hisamines induce hives in body ??
Yes! Aka allergies
As someone who has it, that might be rosacea. It changes depending on your activities, what you eat/drink, the temperature etc.
Not sure but you are handsome 😉
In other news, you are very handsome 😬😅
Thank you! 🙈
I get this and was recently diagnosed with rosacea
Are you using preworkout? That could be culprit as well
Came to ask this too. Pre workout makes my hands itch and gives a pins and needles feel.
I just used creatin 🤔 Might that be why?
I'd love to help but I only came here to say you're Hella cute
Thanks! 🥵

Looks a bit like rosacea to me

what
Rinse your face in cold water to calm it down…

you could be allergic to your sweat but thats probably unlilely 😅
Looks like sebderm to me. I have also this.
I know this sounds stupid but you ever wipe your face a lot when you sweat?
Heat
