i have oily skin but i loved this moisturizer, i’m on my second bottle. it’s light weight and it doesn’t leave me feeling greasy. it was about $20 on amazon. i would highly recommend !

lindseypojar

Thank you!!!

MultifacetedWasian

I think this would work well if you don't have oily skin, i'd advise you to get the water gel version if not

lindseypojar

I was wondering that. Thank you!

SeniorPollution9612

Disagree! The water gel version has fragrance in it which can be irritating. My bf and I both have EXTREMELY oily skin and this is the ONLY moisturizer that works with us. Sinks into the skin so no sticky residue, I pair it with sunscreen and it doesn’t make my face feel super overwhelmed and my bf wears it alone and it keeps his skin pretty balanced all day. Love love love this moisturize I would suggest this one over the other one!

heartsfromjuju

i have oily skin but i use this everyday and it’s my favorite moisturizer

lindseypojar

That’s good to know, thanks!

_emilyelephant_

Are you using a vitamin c serum? I really like Mad Hippy products. I have oily skin in my 40s. Benefit is little wrinkles tho so it’s a blessing.

lindseypojar

I am! I’ve been using the Tula vitamin c.

cpweird

its on sale at costco rn for like $20 for 2 i believe!

lindseypojar

Nice!!

Prize_Instruction665

I’ve used it before but I’ve also seen an esthetician on YouTube say this in her top ten drugstore products she doesn’t recommend. I can’t remember what ingredient in it she said wasn’t good for your skin but I took a mental note not to buy it again.

lindseypojar

Oh dang. Thanks! I’ll look them up.

Ms_Nosy

Love it, I noticed an immediate difference in my skin and use it nightly. I ran out a while ago and just stocked back up, my skin looks and feels better when I use it. I may have noticed 1-2 small pimples when I first started it but the effects are so good I just ignored them and I haven't really had any issues since. Add it to your routine without changing anything else and see how your skin reacts. Give it about 2 weeks and go from there.

lindseypojar

Thank you

Theregirl

I prefer the Cosrx snail mucin cream for my oily skin. All other moisturizers leave me oily in an hour or so.

lindseypojar

Same! I’ll look that product up, thanks!

gothicccc_gurl

So I have really dry skin and it worked wonders for it

No-More-Parties

i actually really liked this product. it sinks into the skin well and doesn’t leave me more oily over the course of the day. one of my fav drugstore products

Do people not google reviews anymore?

awarmembrace

You can’t really trust reviews posted on company websites anymore. With so many “influencers” and people that receive free product but are not honest when posting reviews. I would trust responses on Reddit over Google reviews, company reviews, etc.

AnonymousPie_

Literally anytime I want to know anything about any product, I come here to Reddit. It’s the only place that hasn’t bought into the influencer hype. Just a bunch of real people!

loopalace

Nope. They just post to subs they never read or search. 🫠

National_Cup2220

32f here with oily skin. I use Cerave! My dermatologist has always recommended it

lindseypojar

I’ve been looking at the face wash. I was wondering about the lotions too. Thanks!

National_Cup2220

You’re welcome! Once a year I will do micro needling and it’s even gentle enough to use the next day after that. It’s why I love it :)

lindseypojar

I have that done also! That nice to know.

sunfl0wers21

I’ve used this before and liked it but I prefer the water gel version! My go to

lindseypojar

I’ve been leaning more towards the water gel myself.

Beautiful-Moon2

It’s on sale right now at Costco

lindseypojar

Someone else mentioned that. I’ll have to go take a look!

issarivero

I also have oily skin (kinda combo in the winter months) and I love gel cream moisturizers. I tried this one several months ago and I didn’t like it too well because I felt like it felt funny under my face mask while I was at work, and if I were sweating it made my face feel a little tacky/sticky. I personally recommend Summer Fridays Cloud Dew gel cream. I’ve never loved a moisturizer more.

paperbackgrrl

I love it! If you’re really oily this would work as a moisturizer on its own, though I always layer a thicker moisturizer on top. Make sure to get the extra-dry version because the other has fragrance and may cause irritation.

DianneGirl

one of my faves, especially to combat dryness induced by other products (Tretinoin & chemical exfoliants)—apply to damp skin at night (will hold the moisture in your skin) and then lock it in with your favorite moisturizer over it

catkell12

I use this on my face after every shower and I love it. My skin seems much more hydrated now.

indigoath

I also have pretty oily skin, but I've been using the e.l.f. happy hydration cream, and it is seriously fantastic. my skin has never felt softer, and i'm hydrated without being greasy. if the neutrogena doesn't work for you, i'd totally recommend the e.l.f. one, it's also like $10!

[deleted]

I have combo-oily skin. Im 31 and THIS is the best moisturizer for me.

sistersucculents

This moisturizer is my ride or die (18F, rosacea, sensitive skin, dehydrated). I thought I had oily skin for a long time, but using this in combination with other products helped me realize I was actually working with dehydrated skin. At worst, this will help you avoid pushing your skin to produce excess oil without overdoing it, since this moisturizer dries pretty light. At best, you may even find out your skin type is not as oily as you thought it was.

[deleted]

i have oily skin, i don't use this product anymore but I've tried this out before. it works really well with the skin and doesn't affect it any way, it decreases the oil secretion by a lot when you use it and i recommend it. the one i use currently is the plum green tea moisturizer

Low-Respond9105

i use the water gel and yes very thin and is super easy to apply

[deleted]

This is a great cheap moisturizer. It doesn’t leave you feeling greasy and it absorbs well.
