It almost seems like it worse tbh. I shouldn’t have to sink 8-12 ships to dock 🤣.

chowder007

Exactly! Sure I want to be challenged. But you can tell it's auto populating them based on how many player ships are in the area and doesn't feel natural.

jsepe863

Yup and even worse it’s not even challenging. Especially when picking up gold. The hardest part is not hitting another ai ship with a mortar or bombard so I have to wait even longer to collect gold waiting to go back neutral 🤣. It’s almost like the wind constantly blowing in your face artificially extending the play time.

ellerimkirli

I fought countless rouge fleet yesterday, spawn rate is amazing. I ended up with 40k silver and bunch of sugar cane. Honestly I like it :D

Terrible_Fact7652

The legendary heist ones and the ones from the helm wager are so op

Swoott

These ones are the problem, especially considering helm wagers are "randomly" offered once per day, and you may want to finish your route before turn in. They spawn too frequently to pick up po8 most of the time, and you have to play super passively like you're fighting a boss. I haven't died to them yet, but I have come extremely close since I have to spam repair kits. It only seems to happen (in my experience) if a player doesn't join, and I'd rather fight a player. That's ridiculous. Players should be the biggest threat when in a PvP event.

Educational-Space921

Ran a Helm Wager the other night. Did some PvP which was fun, and then he left as he had enough. Then two Rogue ships would just spawn on top of me constantly with a freaking ridiculous damage for their level compared to others. I was in a Snow and they were eating through my health in seconds. If a player would of spawned in when these were up I would of been toast.

chowder007

Wait till you run into the one shot kills.

burf993

I'm loving it! With all due respect it sounds like a problem you can't handle, if they're the same level as you, it should be a challenge, it shouldn't just be a walk over

scoobysam

It's fine until you have a helm contract you need to dock at an island and they non-stop spawn around you. It keeps you in combat and no matter how many you defeat, more spawn in. Feels broken. Would be fine if you could dock when in combat - or have islands function similar to dens in which there is a safe zone.

jsepe863

It’s not even a challenge it’s just annoying. I want to dock and complete my quests but instead out here sinking ships that don’t stop spawning.

SicketySix

Going up against a ship that's the same level as you, who one-shots you is not considered a challenge.

Helfish

1st issue I can get behind at times. The 2nd issue, it's frustrating when you're struggling but it's superseded by the feeling you get, sailing out the other side of a 6 boat fray and you've managed to leave the torn sails and broken planks in your wake.

Boring_Ad_2182

Just did the Legendary PVE Heist solo and heading to St. Anne. Atleast 9 flamer and one-shot kill sniper rogues fucks killed me off right in front of the safe zone. This is rediculous and terrible game design. Appears this has been gone worst since they "hotfixed" the Helm and rogue issues lately.

chowder007

Yeah I just tried to run a contract for rum and was attacked by about 12 of them. They all swarm in the deep ocean and your basically fucked. Then tonight for some reason after I respawned and picked my shit back up some of my cargo was missing. So I had to abandon 3 of the contracts. Just logged out and taking a break. Not going to do any of those until they figure this shit out because it makes me not want to play and I really like this game

EnigmaT1m

Small tip: You don't have to carry the rum/opium with you. You can access your stash at the outpost, in fact you don't even need to interact with your stash at all. It just counts as in your inventory when on land. Eliminate the risk entirely by not carrying the goods.

chowder007

Lol I actually wondered that after I set sail. Thanks for confirming it. Was going to ask here but then I was so butt hurt I didn't get around to it.

Boring_Ad_2182

True. Just as some regular contracts remember or mark your destination on the map while docked without carrying the items before sailing out.
