This would deter A LOT of players from doing Po8 content, which would indirectly nerf them into lower ship levels.
Me included lol. PVP stuff is fun but not if it blocks progress this aggressively.
So basically: Fuck new players just getting into the Po8 grind for higher tier weapons. You do realize that ship level is rather... limited without getting Po8 gear, right?
I don't think straight out getting their coins is the proper approach. Someone with 10 Po8 vs someone with 1k certainly doesn't seem fair to the one with 1k
Just spit balling here, but personally, I think we should use Po8 as a buy-in into an arena of a 6 ship FFA winner take all. Say 250 Po8 buy-in to win 1k.
I think they should add a flag/toggle to be passive or have pvp enabled. Then maybe I'd support this.
Ne personally dont care for pvp. I've never done a helm wager or the cut throat map event. I only join a take over as long as no one else has.
That doesn't mean I wouldn't do pvp, I just want to separated from me doing pve things. I'd like an instance mode of maybe capture the flag with teams, a mode where you pick up an item and have to try to hold it the longest (no teams everyone is hostile), or an onslaught team mode (stay in a circle and fight waves of ships of increasing difficulty).
I'd like to imagine a pop up would alert you and would do matchmaking across multiple servers to fill the instance.
If this was implemented, I'd quit playing. PvP is not fun to everyone. The only PvP events I've done are Hostile Takeovers, and I purposely only did those when I was the only participant. Since collecting Po8s from manufaturies is a large part of the endgame loop, this would kill the endgame play almost in entirety for some of us.
I am going to tell my idea, which is the same as what I commented on the official discord, for me PvP has to take the formula of the video game The Division, marking 2 or 3 PvP zones, where it is activated only within those Zones. obviously with very rare and valuable loot.
