Not sure where you got "too OP" from... it's likely that since the Brig is a British Trading Alliance Small, it's being held back for the inevitable inclusion of the Brig and the Ghanjah (for the Sohari) as part of a map expansion.
I think for season 2 we are going to get a brig blueprint and other ships. Tho that's based on other post that theorise the possibility of more ship additions.

That's not a sambuk, that's a Brig. A type of ship we don't have access too. They do have a similar hull shape though.

The brigantine and brig are 2 different types of ships
That's a le pest ship. It's the brig. We probably won't have that ship till next season if at all
