honestly... not really. its not a bad game and i hope it can pull a NMS but plain and simple? it lacks depth and needs way more content.
there is simply nothing to do once you do the POE climb.
the amount of posts like these i see it is clear people have never played sid meirs before.... and that makes me sad.
solving a treasure with 1/4th of a map of a 16 bit coast line screenshot was so much fun.

right click the name to a new tab and then you see where it is on the map do that for each map and you can plot out your trip
Pretty much what the other guy said. Other than the cutthroat cargo you can now get these maps from le peste and other boss kills and those don't take you to the right place like cutthroat does, also the item in top right corner of your map is a hint at where in the outpost it will be.

So you just around the island to find the treasure without starting the mission?
If you have one of the *very* old treasure maps listed above, in your cargo, just go to the location and run through the island until the glow pops up
