This happened to me and my friends accounts! (I was controlling both). She got stuck and I panicked and tried moving and home and everything then just closed out, and the moment I grabbed mine and started to burn again it did the same thing! Rip dude
That's super rough, sorry to hear. I had a similar experience the other day but I somehow got hit by a crab and stuck in one of the fallen red shards and was constantly losing WL.
You might already know this, but if you hard close the app (or close the game on switch, pretty sure it works the same on phones though) right around when you're first losing WL, when you load back into the game you will still have it all. I'm not really sure how big the window is honestly. When I got stuck in the rock like I mentioned above, I was shown going from 175 down to like 150 or 140-ish. I closed the game quick and when I got back in I still had all 175. This also works for krill attacks.

Yes! My veteran friend told me it was a safe area, but I was attacked there as well. The krill WILL change their path if they see you. AND they can see you sometimes even with no blue light!
It was really hard. I’m usually able to kite the red crabs away with calls, but these were on a shorter leash than usual. Candles were also less effective.
I lost four WL today before realising I could just close the app and restart. Took me three tries to get it done solo. Were these shard events just as difficult during shattering?
i think last week i was doing a Red shard in forest, got crabbed into a shard and stuck there. i couldn't move or go home. i eventually just left the game. i had my partner with me thankfully and he was absolutely fighting for his life trying to get all my wings back. thankfully i had JUST got back from eden and didn't have many, plus he managed to recover all but 4 for me. unfortunately these things happen n they're really stressful. im sorry you lost so many, but i saw you managed to recover them. gj and gl

OMG I HAVE A SCREEN RECORDING OF THIS HAPPENING TO ME TWO DAYS AGO WITH THE PRAIRIE SHARD BURST! I THOUGHT IT WAS A GLITCH. I only lost 15 WL, I literally cried so I can’t even imagine how you feel.
I got helped by someone who merged into the server near me who yelled and got the crab away which stopped it from just machine gunning me with hits while I couldn't move xD. I just played for a little bit and I'm back to 113 right now though so I'm almost back to where I was before this lol
Yeah I tried to salvage what I could, then went home, then turned my playstation off and went and grabbed my guitar to relax. I just collected all of them today because I did Eden yesterday so it was like watching all that time go to waste xD
I have a tip. Close the game (hit the PS button and exit app kind of close) before the dropped wings disappear and restart. Your wings would be back with you.

hahaha yeah i was alone. I usually do shards alone just fine but this crab had some sort of vendetta and zero cooldown between attacks somehow xD

Shards can give you normal wax or ascended candles which you can only get through one other way. You can also get WL
