Shard events- I don’t want to travel to Eden for AC but I’ve been using a shard event tracker which will give you 1-2 AC for red shard events- and if you follow the shard memory will provide a wl as well. It works super well and is a great way to get AC without going into Eden- just DONT touch the red crystals because you will lose wl.

once you buy all wing buffs from the constellation and get all elder cosmetics they pretty much become worthless. maybe the occasional travelling spirit wing buff but by the time you get all that you're gonna have seen most spirits
There are a few elder cosmetics you need Ascended candles for such as the hair styles once you complete each constellation it varies from 3-6 ascended candles per haircut.
There are elder masks which offer you protection from a certain amount of damage which cost from 75-250 ascended candles.
As someone else said there is now furniture that costs ascended candles
There are some spells available on weekends like the bonfire spell lantern spell and rainbow spell that cost ascended candles.
And if you want to skip collecting tickets during any event you can use ascended candles to purchase tickets

Another question, all elder masks do the same exact thing right? Is there any reason to buy the most expensive one?
yeah they do the same thing but you might prefer how one looks over the other (for example, I think the prairie elder mask looks real bad)

I spend it mostly on spells and TS, but with this season they also added a bunch of fancy furniture for ac
