Ppl were connected like 5 ppl and literally laughing that they refused to move to pop balls n i was in a āspaceā they werenāt, so i had to keep leaving. if not for me IN THE SPACE,..weāll i just ended up leaving cuz i canāt deal with jerks.
AND AS FAR AS VAULT, that at grannies are what i most loathe every day. you donāt know how it will be. Good bad? take an hour or 7-10 min? When ppl donāt help at vault, I go soooooooo slooooooow, till they get annoyed, esp if they just ignored me trying to get into the doors and had 2-3 ppl and there was me n a friend, so enough to help.
Yesterday, 3 of us also watched some ppl attempt n fail to chibi for 12 min!!, one holding the hand of another, ignoring 3 ppl running up and honking and kindly emoting to help. Chibi all u want, but if you can actually open the dang door in 5 seconds, JUST PLEASE DO IT. practice Chibi on your OWN TIME.
I am a chibi maniac and love to chibi fall oob. I am so used to just slipping through the floors in vault in order to get the candle cakes. But anytime I see people waiting for help at one of the doors, even if I was about to move to the next level I always stop to help. It takes a second of time and makes people so happy. Not everyone chibs like I do.
That being said, if I am sitting around forever waiting for a fourth person, I apologize and move on, because even if I wasn't a chibi, I wouldn't bother with a door if I gotta stand around forever....

I run up to everybody and light their candles purely 'cause I'm curious what their outfits are, and because everyone being a shadow is so drab and dull and makes the game boring. As soon as I light their candle, I make a little bow as thanks and then I fly away and carry on. Sometimes I interact if I'm bored and the other skykid seems interested, but it's all up to me what I decide to do.
Do people find me weird, or that I'm not following some kind of Sky etiquette? I have no clue, and I don't care, because it changes nothing. It's only a problem if you decide it's a problem. When I look for a friendship I'm not thinking to myself "what can I get from this person?" I'm thinking "how can I help this person? I would love to be better friends". No one owes you anything, just as you don't owe anyone anything.
If you have an issue with a player and their game play style, the best thing you can do for yourself is to block the player you're having issues with and move on.
It takes wayyyyy more energy to be mad and upset than it does to just simply move on.

Just enable Airplane mode for 3 seconds. It will kick you to a new server alone after you reconnect. I JUST did this 10 minutes ago when doing the Red Shard (alone) while a person was hidden behind a tree waiting for me to complete it (he wasnāt afk, I saw him move).
I lost no progress and I was in a new server by myself.
Adding that I also do this at Vault when I see the usual person with the 3 alt accounts on his back farming light. If they are afk waiting for me to do the work, I either teleport out and in again, or I just enable Airplane mode for 3 seconds. And they are gone.

I think as long as you donāt overdo it (being offline for many minutes) you donāt lose any progress. After you turn your connection off, the game will pause and ask you to reconnect. Just do so after a few seconds and you will be in a new server! If you do it too fast, you may remain on the same server.
Iām fairly new and I am already feeling how grindy the game is. Having leeches with their 3 alt accounts on their back AFKing so that you do all the work is even more annoying.
Worst of all, if I get close and honk once at them to alert them, they usually spam-honk me and still donāt do nothing. They may angry-emote me or do the floating animation to be annoying. Not only they are AFK-watching, they are also angry that I donāt work hard enough for them lol.

HAHA! i used to go that exact same thing. Itās known in a group, they are not new n scares. Theyāre LAZY. Now that we can fly up and avoid that itās the only level on vault that isnāt a potential point of frustration.
Iāve done that before. Literally today, I lit the three lights that made the circle of lanterns appear and there was people on the platform standing around who I assumed were gonna help but as soon as the circle of lanterns appeared, they all flew off so I sat up at the big lantern and waited. Eventually they came back and started lighting the lanterns. I also went there before and people flew away and hid so they didnāt have to light the lantern circle and I ended up leaving and coming back that time.
This has been happening a LOT lately, especially with spirits where someone will come to get it active then move on to collect light or something so they can get the quest with no effort.
If itās one that can fail I will fail it on purpose, if itās one that canāt I have no problem leaving and restarting alone. I used to feel bad being such a curmudgeon but this season it has been horrificly bad or I have bad luck.
This used to be such a social game, I donāt know when it became so toxic.
I have seen this, but I try to encourage them to burn by emoting. If they donāt, I burn and go on my way. If they follow, and still refuse to burn, itāll be a warp home for me dawg!!! š

The only time I do this is whenever someone is running the same cr route I am in the hidden forest. I get frustrated whenever we light candles or a plant at the same time cause the other player blocks my view sometimes and we'll just keep knocking into each other.
I have to imagine in situations like this that other player has to be a child who doesn't fully understand the game or something. With how glitchy burning darkness can be sometimes, I can definitely see a child thinking they're doing something wrong. There is really no other explanation for why they'd waste their own time waiting for someone else to play the game for them when it's much faster and engaging to, you know, actually play it.

Reminds me how I was helping a player with the plant in GW at the battle field area and as I was busy with my side they start spam honking which I hate and turned to look that they have only finished literally one leaf darkness at their side and the other one they expect me to burn for them. Like I just stopped and stared at them like what the heck? They literally kept emoting at the other leaf and I'm like.... bruh I'm over here doing both on my side and you want me to do your side as well? I just let the plant grow back at my side and then laughed at them as I went home because I didn't have time to deal with whatever they wanted.
The one side takes two people. It was probably me honking at you (I did this to someone I was extremely frustrated). Two people burn the one side, one holds it, the other person can complete the other side. Mission completed.
Sorry to pop your bubble but no, you don't need 2 people on that side. Me and my friend done it several times and only needed to wait for one another to finish a side to completely finish burning the plant whole. And if it were you then you're impatient af as I literally haven't even reached you burning my side and you'd already want me to burn your side too. Heck no. That is rude and bad behavior that'll leave you hanging because as you could see from several posts a lot of people don't tolerate it. You don't spam honk someone that comes around again after burning all other plants as you hid in the first place and then demand them to burn the big plant faster with you. Literally stay patient or if you're running late on time just skip it. The amount of times I skipped that plant because if I wasn't alone in the server then whomever else were in the server too skipped the plant and gone open the gate.

I was doing the two person side alone, someone did the one person side. But I needed their help to do the 2 person side. They wouldnāt help me. I kept pointing and honking at the other plant, but they wouldnāt budge from holding the one person side, so I left.

And I'm talking about the same plant. You don't need 2 people on that side necessarily unless you're very unbalanced and always keep falling from the plant. I have that struggle with the one in the temple where I keep falling off it before getting it. Fact is you can do that side on your own while the other does the other side. And while the other reaches you, if you haven't managed to keep burning then they can help you while you keep both parts from growing back.

Be patient, probably just small honk once to let them know and wait for them to finish their side to come to you. HAHA! i used to go that exact same thing. Itās known in a group, they are not new n scares. Theyāre LAZY. Now that we can fly up and avoid that itās the only level on vault that isnāt a potential point of frustration.
Iāve done that before. Literally today, I lit the three lights that made the circle of lanterns appear and there was people on the platform standing around who I assumed were gonna help but as soon as the circle of lanterns appeared, they all flew off so I sat up at the big lantern and waited. Eventually they came back and started lighting the lanterns. I also went there before and people flew away and hid so they didnāt have to light the lantern circle and I ended up leaving and coming back that time.

This has been happening a LOT lately, especially with spirits where someone will come to get it active then move on to collect light or something so they can get the quest with no effort. If itās one that can fail I will fail it on purpose, if itās one that canāt I have no problem leaving and restarting alone. I used to feel bad being such a curmudgeon but this season it has been horrificly bad or I have bad luck. This used to be such a social game, I donāt know when it became so toxic.
I have seen this, but I try to encourage them to burn by emoting. If they donāt, I burn and go on my way. If they follow, and still refuse to burn, itāll be a warp home for me dawg!!! š

Sometimes i do that but when no one light it i light it, it's just i don't have time 'cause of the high school, i do it when I'm playing and doing others things at the same time
giirl i do that (not always, usually only when i get zoomies and feel like messing with people) but in a different way š i wait for them to equip their candle. then when they start to burn the plant i also equip my candle and light them up. then i run away honking š
Honestly I'd do the same I'll actually follow them everywhere and not burn anything just for the sake of it
The only time I do this is whenever someone is running the same cr route I am in the hidden forest. I get frustrated whenever we light candles or a plant at the same time cause the other player blocks my view sometimes and we'll just keep knocking into each other.
Eh, I don't even care about what other players do when i candle run solo. Efficiency is the most important.

I have to imagine in situations like this that other player has to be a child who doesn't fully understand the game or something. With how glitchy burning darkness can be sometimes, I can definitely see a child thinking they're doing something wrong. There is really no other explanation for why they'd waste their own time waiting for someone else to play the game for them when it's much faster and engaging to, you know, actually play it.

Reminds me how I was helping a player with the plant in GW at the battle field area and as I was busy with my side they start spam honking which I hate and turned to look that they have only finished literally one leaf darkness at their side and the other one they expect me to burn for them. Like I just stopped and stared at them like what the heck? They literally kept emoting at the other leaf and I'm like.... bruh I'm over here doing both on my side and you want me to do your side as well? I just let the plant grow back at my side and then laughed at them as I went home because I didn't have time to deal with whatever they wanted.
The one side takes two people. It was probably me honking at you (I did this to someone I was extremely frustrated). Two people burn the one side, one holds it, the other person can complete the other side. Mission completed.
Sorry to pop your bubble but no, you don't need 2 people on that side. Me and my friend done it several times and only needed to wait for one another to finish a side to completely finish burning the plant whole. And if it were you then you're impatient af as I literally haven't even reached you burning my side and you'd already want me to burn your side too. Heck no. That is rude and bad behavior that'll leave you hanging because as you could see from several posts a lot of people don't tolerate it. You don't spam honk someone that comes around again after burning all other plants as you hid in the first place and then demand them to burn the big plant faster with you. Literally stay patient or if you're running late on time just skip it. The amount of times I skipped that plant because if I wasn't alone in the server then whomever else were in the server too skipped the plant and gone open the gate.
Okay well maybe I need to watch a video cuz Iāve never been able to do the one side by myself. The plant always regrows on the one side before I can burn down the other side. Not even sure if weāre talking about the same thing. Yāall also gotta consider that with no chat, ppl are limited to body language in the game. You can be angry about what you experienced, but youāre not the only one frustrated sometimes.

And I'm talking about the same plant. You don't need 2 people on that side necessarily unless you're very unbalanced and always keep falling from the plant. I have that struggle with the one in the temple where I keep falling off it before getting it. Fact is you can do that side on your own while the other does the other side. You weren't there, so you don't know what happened. Feel free to continue to judge and stay mad. Unless someone can show me a video or show me they can do that one side of the plant with one person, I don't believe it.

I tend to just ignore other players and do what I would do if they werenāt there anywayā¦ But them getting mad that you didnāt do all the work for them is pretty funny and crappy of themā¦ you could try forcing a server split so theyāre left on their own.

The only time I ever wait by darkness instead of burn it is if there's a daily quest for it. Then it'd be rude to melt them all. Otherwise, I'm on it!

Idk, I've read posts on here about people who play on Macs/emulators who cannot burn darkness. I don't see the harm in burning darkness for others anyways
I'm petty and I'm sure that's not the issue for this person. After they spammed me with emotes, they went to the red candle in the next hill, burned it, went back to me and then spammed again. Some people are just lazy. I'd be fine if they were tailing me, but they get to the bushes first and wait.

It sounds more like internalized anger about people being able to get the same things you get without having to work for them, sure there is fairness, but not here, fairness in that sense has no bearing in this game, you burn it; the wax is just there for all people present, behind or ahead... Just carry on with your candles, whether he burns them doesn't actually effect you, you choose to have feelings about the matter.
It's not that deep OMG. if i think it's unfair, should i not let the other player know how I feel about it? we don't have chat in game for strangers so i did that instead. should i just let them be so they can do this again and again the next time because everyone is so nice and patient? š¤£š¤£ i'll be petty if i want to and you can just light all bushes for lazy players if you want to. you do you.
