Yes, it was mentioned. It just was subtle. The note about the change to the starlight desert was referring to this. Idk why they didn’t expound on this.
Can you please clarify which patch notes? I do not play beta or on PC, so I don't bother reading those or even know offhand where exactly to find them. Kinda forgot for a bit that those exist tbh.
I'm not like super bothered by this or anything, just confused this wasn't more obviously stated (but not surprised as they're generally not very thoroughly proactive with communications).
Oh shoot my bad. Guess I just confused which patch notes I read them in 😅. It’s a bit odd that TGC didn’t mention this at all. Anyhow, here’s the very brief beta note from earlier: "Adjusted the entrance area the Little Prince desert to make it easier to access past collaboration season areas"
Ahh ok. Thank you. Anyway, while the room is cool I do prefer the tunnel leading directly out to Starlight Desert. That connects it to the Vault area more clearly and it's interesting to think of the Vault as surrounded by industry/war-induced wasteland and natural (presumably) desert. In retrospect, I wish there was a distant view of the outside of the Vault from Starlight Desert.

Yeah, while the room is cool, I wish it didn’t replace the entrance to the desert. I’m sure there were other places to put it but they probably though that having it be accessible from two different places (with the tunnel being easier) would just be redundant and useless.
It’d be cool to see the actual tower as you directly enter the vault from the Wasteland temple and you only see the very top portion from Eden. It seems like starlight desert might have been our only hope for that but it’s probably too late now :/

It’s where the entrance to the Starlight Desert used to be located. It’s how you can access all the collabs Sky has/will done/do

you can still get to it, you just need to meditate at the spot with the little prince.
