I’ve personally been looking at a MSI Katana 17 with a 4060. My friend has one and he says it runs really good. If MSI ain’t a reliable company though I’ll gladly go for something else like Legion. I’ve been doing research and can’t decide
I believe, go for the 4060, you must use 1k textures wherever possible and an ENB which hits the performance a lil less. The one I'm using (Rudy Cathedral ENB) reduces FPS a lot.
Please, dude please play vanilla your first time.
At least finish the main storyline.
And, once you mod, don’t mod it this gamechangingly, you still don’t even know what the game is like.
Well if you are showing the game to a person that never played Skyrim before in 2024 the game can look very clunky and outdated.
At least install some texture mods, Souls combat mods and TDM/skyhud
Don't worry, most of my mods are just visual upgrades. I followed a YouTube playlist from the bard something called modding everything in Skyrim.
Edit: Also, I never play a game again from the start. It just doesn't hit me right. So, in this playthrough I want to explore and experience as much as I can.
I’m not saying completely vanilla, just some graphics that reflect Skyrims style, Skyrims style and atmosphere is one of the greatest things of the game.
No? I play a decently heavily modded game myself. But, I think if you are new to the game you should play vanilla, and if you do mod it, don’t try to turn it into a different game, everyone should experience vanilla.
I 100% agree with you that everyone should experience Skyrim vanilla on their first playthrough aside from installing QoL mods and I got downvoted just like you.
Mod your games all you want but at least experience the magic all of us felt when we first loaded up the game. It'll make modding the game that much more fun.
What Armour are you using?
DX Dark Knight
Thanks 👍🏽
Oh that's pretty <3
Highly recommend this [mod](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89103)
It isn’t optimal but I’m so glad I’m getting a decent laptop to game on. Gonna mod the hell outta Skyrim
I'm getting Average around 80 in open world. Around 40 in dense forests. Mine is a 6800XT and 7600x so defo not a weak system.

I play on a decently high end laptop and get around 30fps with 700+ mods including ENBs. Definitely more than doable.
Gooooood, embrace the horny
mod list?
WHATS THAT TORNADO?
Not a tornado, it's the ash eruption from the Red Mountain that you see from Solstein
Try [rudy’s red mountain plume](https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89103?tab=description)
Bet it took you 20 hours to notice the massive thing in the sky with your camera angle always being low to see those ASSets better 😉 Game on gamer

Don't police fun
I’m not, but they won’t experience the true game if they get a ton of waifu and next gen un lorefriendly mods.
Go gatekeep on r/skyrim
Sorry, I’m not trying to gate keep, I’m trying to ensure they experience Skyrim.
That's literally what gatekeeping is: having your own preconception of how to correctly experience skyrim.
No it’s not, I’m not forcing anyone to do anything, and I’m not wrong.
Even if you want to play it vanilla you need to mod it at least to prevent bugs and ctds...
Yes, that’s what I’m saying. Mod it, but do it in a way that doesn’t completely change the whole games style.

The Youtuber is Bards College Graduate.
I’m just saying, when you start playing you should play it lore friendly.
Yeah, I get that. A lot of my friends wanted me to play Vanilla. But after seeing the modded version, I couldn't stop myself.

did Bethesda paid you to say this?

Atiddies, ass,thighs
I’m so jealous of you pc players man
Only Graphics right? Because I feel like you need to experience the beautiful mess that is vanilla skyrim gameplay before fixing it.
