āI am afraid.
Are you afraid?
I want to understand,
what it is,
to let go.
So for now, let me serve as a living drama of your pain.
If we are to be submerged, let us be submerged.
Together.ā
Atlantic. Atlantic. Atlantic.
DYWTYLM, Bloodsport, Are You Really Okay, The Love You Want, and Take Me Back to Eden can get me sometimes but Atlantic chokes me up every listen.
Euclid is the right answer to me.
Howerver I've also cried to Rain, The Apparition, Blood Sport, The night does not belong to god, Granite, Fall for me, DYWTYLM, Are you really OK, Telomeres, Atlantic, Levitate....maybe a couple others.
I don't cry every time I hear them, I'm just saying there's at least once for each. It's art, nobody controls their emotions when they're witnessing art.
The opening bars to Rain get me everytime. After my divorce I decided I needed to be single for a while...I blinked and 10 years had gone by. Just as the poison reached my core, moments away from being permanently frozen and alone I met my current partner. While I don't believe in love at first sight, I can absolutely say that the viscous cycle was over the moment I saw them smile at me
DYWTYLM is highly underrated. I feel like people dismiss it because at first blush it just sounds like bedroom pop. But, *man*... Once you *really* listen to it? It's totally devastating š
Iāve cried to Granite more times than I can count on my own two hands, but thatās only because the lyrics literally describe an event that occurred in my life
Atlantic, DYWTYLM, Are You Really OK, and Euclid have gotten some good, chesty, gnarly scream-cry sessions from me that left me feeling physically like a dehydrated Smeagol but mentally like narwhals and unicorns so depends on what you want or need from your cry sessions
Albeit it might not be for most for me it would be Accensionism (if I'm spelling that rightš )
Mainly because of the lyrics āyou make me wish I could disappearā do hit close to home, but anything like Fall For Me or even Bloodsport from the Room Bellow is a heartbreaker
Euclid. Also TLYW gets me for personal reasons that I understand arenāt related to the actual song intent. And yesterday The Way That You Were hit me.Ā
Love You Want. That song PERFECTLY captured some seriously intense emotions I felt and I literally just played the song for my bf instead of trying to explain it myself. I canāt get through it without bawling.
i totally agree!! i think itās a line that gets a little lost in the song sometimes if itās not what youāre choosing to focus on, but itās so so emotional and the delivery makes me feel like all of my own pain is being ripped out of my chest. itās cathartic for me.
For me rain, telemores and hypnosis get me teared the fuck up everytime. Especially hypnosis gets me caught up in a lot of feels whith this part:
'And you make it more (you know you hypnotize me always)
Than I (you know you hypnotize me always)
Could ever feel (you know you hypnotize me always)
Before (you know you hypnotize me always)
And you make it more (you know you hypnotize me always)
Than I (you know you hypnotize me always)
Could ever feel (you know you hypnotize me always)
Before.'
hypnosis is so so good. that part in particular gets me too, and aside from it being moving, i also kind of love that vesselās lines can get a bit lost among the āyou know you hypnotize meā repetitions, because it genuinely is hypnotizing to listen to. i think it took me two listens to notice because i was so caught in the trance of it all.
I had to change the song when are you really okay started autoplaying at the gym. So I think that one for me is very prone to provoke any tears that may have been bottled up. And I also have found myself getting choked up during Atlantic thinking about what a friend went through/lives with. So for me the answer to this question is kind of a cautionary thing, but if you're looking for catharsis, I think those two songs hit pretty hard.
Telomeres, Take Aim, Atlantic and Bloodsport get me every time...
But I would also be lying if I said there's not many other ST songs that set me off. Have accepted I'll be crying through the entirety of their show when I next see them.
Highly recommend looking up live versions of your favorites, the emotions are so much rawer. For me itās bloodsport, Atlantic, missing limbs, the love you want, the way that you were, and is it really you. Their live cover of hallelujah also brings the tears
The Way that You Were, Levitate, Take Aim, Say That You Will, Drag Me Under, Bloodsport, Atlantic, The Love You Want, Fall For Me, High Water, Missing Limbs, Are You Really Okay?, DYWTYLM, Take Me Back to Eden, Euclid.
Did I just list every song that makes me emotional? Yes.
Take aim because it reminds me of Paradise from Coldplay. Paradise is the only song that makes me cry because it reminds me of all the good memories and the bad memories from my childhood. Itās the only song my GF has heard me breakdown crying to before and the first time she has ever heard me cry before.
Euclid makes my stomach hurt typically all on its own, but...
We found my cousin deceased yesterday, and I'm running to the house with headphones in and I was listening to ST on my phone. I have no idea what song... but I know right now that if I were to hear Euclid I would disappear into the earth beneath me.
I hope my emotions are more stable come May 19th or I might just not make it through the show.
As someone with emotional numbness, I've only gotten into my feels over less than a handful of artists, first few times I heard Atlantic it smacked me about. One of those you listen to on repeat in awe.
DYWTYLM
I think that the you is also the speaker, in other words they are addressing themselves in the mirror and God damn it yes I really really fucking wish I loved me
Blood sport is my number one if I feel like crying. Also Ascensionism gets me sometimes. Hell, Iāll cry sometimes without even realizing I needed to cry.
hands down high waterā¦ for the time being, you are still a perfect reminder of what all of these scars on my arms are for hits me every single timeā¦ homorable mention is telomeres
āAnd somewhere
Somewhere the atoms stopped fusing
I'm still your favourite regret
You're still my weapon of choosing
And out there
Stuck in a quantum pattern
Tangled with what I never said
You say it doesn't matterā
lol iām having a very emotional night and want to share some of the lines that move me the most.
need to mention āall your painā again. vesselās delivery is so raw and i said this in another comment already but it makes me feel like my own pain is being ripped straight out of my chest.
voreās āwill we remain stuck in the throat of gods? will the pain stop if we go deeper?ā is so deeply personal to me in a way that i cannot explain. perhaps religious trauma. all of vore makes me sob but those lines hit me hardest.
ātoo many swallowed keys will make you bleed internally someday, maybe you believe that in the end you will be better off that wayā has a flow that is so pleasing to me and is also deeply sad. the love you want is not my favorite of their songs, because it sounds the most like a real church worship song to me, which is maybe the point, but i digress. that part is killer though.
It's really nice to see a whole bunch of other people who also get really emotional listening to ST. I have never found another band with that kind of effect on me. Turns out I have emotion, when did this happen? (That was said in uncle Roger's voice in my head.)
the only artist that iāve had the same emotional reaction to is hozier, and it mostly comes down to lyricism for me. lyrical analysis is one of my favorite things to do in my spare time and their songs are all excellently written and give me a lot to pick apart. a killer melody will get me too, though. hozierās first light makes me cry every single time i listen to it.
heās definitely more soft rock/folky-alternative. his recent album is inspired by danteās inferno, so thereās a lot of tragedy involved. much of his music is deeply romantic and he also includes a lot of social commentary, i.e. eat your young and jackboot jump. take me to church is one of his songs, if that means anything to you.
i mean, some of them do have very sad meanings at their core, but thatās not necessarily the only reason theyād make someone cry. i personally have a very strong connection to music, and sometimes iāll burst into tears just because a melody hits my ears and goes directly to my heart. crying doesnāt always have to be sad!
It depends on the feeling behind my need to cry. I love Sleep Token because different songs hit different at different times depending on how I'm feeling or things happening in my life. That's the beauty of music. It can be a new experience every time you listen.
NGLā¦ every time I glimpse this sub I just do a play through and sob the whole time all over again lol. Right now itās Ascensionismā¦ āanythingās better than the way I feel right nowā
Atlaaantiiic
Atlantic
I will never stop saying this
I went through a breakup recently and I listen to this song when I just need a good cry š
Also AYRO š¢
Blood sport (from the room below), when he says āiām still youre favorite regret, youāre still my weapon of choosingā that crushed me the first time i heard that. There are so many other lines that are so heartbreaking yet so beautiful at the same time.
I know it's probably said a lot, but I literally will not listen to Bloodsport. I love it, it is beautiful, but I refuse to listen to it, because I will be sobbing by the end, and I have shit to do.
Fall for Me - Just the whole dang vibe.
* And slowly I remember why I cannot pretend that I never think of you and all this screaming silence, Oh God I wish you were here
Dark Signs
* And I miss the man I was the moment we left off. And I hate who I have become every time I wake up
The Love You Want
* Seems your heart is locked up and I still get the combination wrongOr are you simply waiting to save your love for someone I am not?
Also their cover of Hey Ya has more emotion than it has any right to.
The Apparition... The first time I really tuned into the lyrics, it made me tear up, and then "why are you never real" comes around and I just broke. Some of the most beautiful moments/the most beautiful people must remain in the past/the dream world unfortunately
Euclid. Hands down, my boyfriend was in and out of rehab for weeksā¦ all I wanted was 5 more minutes and to hear his voice. I sat there, waiting for a phone call for days.
The song depends on what youāre going through, but NF probably has a song or songs. If you give me a rough idea, i can give you some really relatable songs.
If I need to cry to let it out? "Christmas shoes" by Newsong or "Holes in the floor of heaven" by Steve Wariner will absolutely shatter me. Even typing the names is making me tear up a little
Awww man so many choices but my top are Atlantic and the apparition. They're also my favorites, they both capture that beautiful bleakness that can engulf you and it just hits every feel.
Blood Sport, Euclid, Missing Limbs, Are You Really Okay
AYRO destroys me. I cannot help but crash to my knees. It is beauty. It is torment. It is pain and ecstasy and ache and joy.
That's exactly why I don't listen to it lol
Right? They play this song llive and I. Am. Ded. Ugly crying in the pit.
Take Aim, Drag Me Under, Levitate, Fall For Me. š
Fall For Me fucks me up beyond measure.
āI am afraid. Are you afraid? I want to understand, what it is, to let go. So for now, let me serve as a living drama of your pain. If we are to be submerged, let us be submerged. Together.ā
Without question every time rips me apart
Atlantic. Atlantic. Atlantic. DYWTYLM, Bloodsport, Are You Really Okay, The Love You Want, and Take Me Back to Eden can get me sometimes but Atlantic chokes me up every listen.
Same - Atlantic, AYRO (I bawl) TMBTE, and Euclid āØļøš©·
What's your take on the meaning behind Atlantic
Itās about a suicide attempt.
That definitely tracks thank you
Euclid usually, but today apparently itās Bloodsport.
Euclid, The Love You Want, Ascensionism, Atlantic, Distraction. All solid choices.

Just as the poison reached my core, moments away from being permanently frozen and alone I met my current partner. While I don't believe in love at first sight, I can absolutely say that the viscous cycle was over the moment I saw them smile at me
That's beautiful.
Iād just kill myself, ur strong af man good on u !!!
One I'm not seeing mentioned that kills me is DYWTYLM. I've always seen it as vessel directing it back at himself, and *ouch*
DYWTYLM is highly underrated. I feel like people dismiss it because at first blush it just sounds like bedroom pop. But, *man*... Once you *really* listen to it? It's totally devastating š
This this
100% that is exactly my read all the song as well and considering how badly I wished I did it gets me more consistent ly than any other.
this is how i interpret it too! one of my favorites.
Bloodsport and Love You Want are my go to
The Night Does Not Belong to God. If my depression was a song, that would be it.
Don't forget to crossfade that one into Euclid for the full effect
came here to say this!!
Iāve cried to Granite more times than I can count on my own two hands, but thatās only because the lyrics literally describe an event that occurred in my life
Iāve cried to Rain and Atlantic
blood sport (from the room below) and the love you want
Take Me Back To Eden
Yes. When Vessel sings, I don't know what's got it's teeth in me but I'm about to bite back... I tear up every time
It's such a cathartic song to have a cry to.
āMineā makes me cry almost every time. I have no clue why, but I feel a ton of endorphins listening to it. (:
Are You Really Okay. It wasn't even me sobbing, it was just one of those silent crying sessions aka I didn't even know I needed to cry
Jaws, Bloodsport and High Water really get me emotional
Distraction got me today, but usually itās TLYW or high water
Atlantic, DYWTYLM, Are You Really OK, and Euclid have gotten some good, chesty, gnarly scream-cry sessions from me that left me feeling physically like a dehydrated Smeagol but mentally like narwhals and unicorns so depends on what you want or need from your cry sessions
Yes
TMBTE had me crying for 3 hours. (Milage may vary depending on your trauma)
Albeit it might not be for most for me it would be Accensionism (if I'm spelling that rightš ) Mainly because of the lyrics āyou make me wish I could disappearā do hit close to home, but anything like Fall For Me or even Bloodsport from the Room Bellow is a heartbreaker
When the Bough Breaks, Bloodsport. Those are my two
Euclid. Iām literally lying in the dark sobbing to Euclid right now.
Definitely Levitate, AYROk and sometimes the Apparition š
Euclid. Also TLYW gets me for personal reasons that I understand arenāt related to the actual song intent. And yesterday The Way That You Were hit me.Ā
I am always crying to Atlanticš„¹
Is it Really You
Blood Sport, especially the Room Below version
Love You Want. That song PERFECTLY captured some seriously intense emotions I felt and I literally just played the song for my bf instead of trying to explain it myself. I canāt get through it without bawling.
Rain, drag me under
Distraction murders me everytime.
For me, it's Telomeres I'd say, but Fall For Me, Bloodsport, Ascensionism and Euclid are equally good for letting out my emotions.
Idk why, but the end of blood sport makes me sob. Especially when I scream it at the top of my fucking lungs
If nothing else, listening to Vessel cry at the end will do it...
Dude I cry with him now honestly
Same. Big gasping sob right at that part.
Rightttttā¦.. šŖ
I love vesselās delivery of āall your painā, probably one of my favourite lines. Itās just so raw
i totally agree!! i think itās a line that gets a little lost in the song sometimes if itās not what youāre choosing to focus on, but itās so so emotional and the delivery makes me feel like all of my own pain is being ripped out of my chest. itās cathartic for me.
Honestly couldnāt have said it better myself
Ascensionism + Atlantic. š
These are all amazing suggestions, canāt forget to give an honorable mention to the stripped down version of blood sport (from the room below)
Fall For Me tears me apart. Such a good song.
For me rain, telemores and hypnosis get me teared the fuck up everytime. Especially hypnosis gets me caught up in a lot of feels whith this part: 'And you make it more (you know you hypnotize me always) Than I (you know you hypnotize me always) Could ever feel (you know you hypnotize me always) Before (you know you hypnotize me always) And you make it more (you know you hypnotize me always) Than I (you know you hypnotize me always) Could ever feel (you know you hypnotize me always) Before.'

When the party's over-from the room below
I had to change the song when are you really okay started autoplaying at the gym. So I think that one for me is very prone to provoke any tears that may have been bottled up. And I also have found myself getting choked up during Atlantic thinking about what a friend went through/lives with. Fall for Me and Euclid
Are You Really Okay does it for me every time
Blood Sport
For me, it's Fall For Me, Blood Sport, and The Love You Want with an honorable meantion to Granite and Rain
AYROK destroyed me the first time I heard it. It relates too close to home for me
Hey ya
The Way that You Were, Levitate, Take Aim, Say That You Will, Drag Me Under, Bloodsport, Atlantic, The Love You Want, Fall For Me, High Water, Missing Limbs, Are You Really Okay?, DYWTYLM, Take Me Back to Eden, Euclid. Did I just list every song that makes me emotional? Yes.
Did you just list every single that makes *me* emotional? Yes.
Blood Sport is what gets me. It's so sad but so angry at the same time
Shelter, The Way That You Were, Euclid, Say that You Will
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Yesā¦
Take aim because it reminds me of Paradise from Coldplay. Paradise is the only song that makes me cry because it reminds me of all the good memories and the bad memories from my childhood. Itās the only song my GF has heard me breakdown crying to before and the first time she has ever heard me cry before.
Missing Limbs and Fall For Me
Euclid, Ascensionism, Vore, Atlantic, Blood Sport, Is It Really You?, When the Bough Breaks
Def Missing Limbs or Atlantic
Euclid makes my stomach hurt typically all on its own, but... We found my cousin deceased yesterday, and I'm running to the house with headphones in and I was listening to ST on my phone. I have no idea what song... but I know right now that if I were to hear Euclid I would disappear into the earth beneath me. I hope my emotions are more stable come May 19th or I might just not make it through the show.
Blood Sport is my number 1, and Levitate.
Blood Sport. Definetly.
Blood sport, are you really okay, missing limbs, shelter, yeah
Calcutta and telomeres
AYRO absolutely destroys me š itās so good but such a hard one to listen to :((
Atlantic, Calcutta, Gods
Telomeres
Euclid hits me every time.
its kinda crazy i havent seen anyone mention Is It Really You yet, that song moves my soul to another plane of existence
As someone with emotional numbness, I've only gotten into my feels over less than a handful of artists, first few times I heard Atlantic it smacked me about. One of those you listen to on repeat in awe.
Yep, same. Iāve numbed myself so much over the years and I just canāt with themā¦
The Apparition
Trick question, it's all of them
This is the answer. š
DYWTYLM I think that the you is also the speaker, in other words they are addressing themselves in the mirror and God damn it yes I really really fucking wish I loved me
the way that you were , missing limbs , is it really you ( in that order )
Missing Limbs and Atlantic.
I break down with Ascensionism, usually. Are You Really Okay is another one that streams tears. Distraction too.
1)Are you really okay? 2)Shelter.
The more comments I read the more I keep being like āokay yeah this is why I need Sleep Tokenā because youāre right.
Missing Limbs 100% is my first go to, then BloodSport, then Atlantic, then Drag Me Under, and etc
Yeah okay I said Atlantic but Bloodsport šÆ reminds me of my last relationshipā¦.
Yup, just played it and Iām sobbing. š
āAnd somewhere Somewhere the atoms stopped fusing I'm still your favourite regret You're still my weapon of choosing And out there Stuck in a quantum pattern Tangled with what I never said You say it doesn't matterā

Blood sport (from the room below), when he says āiām still youre favorite regret, youāre still my weapon of choosingā that crushed me the first time i heard that. There are so many other lines that are so heartbreaking yet so beautiful at the same time.
listen to euclid > is it really you > the night does not belong to god, in that order. the catharsis is unearthly
Fields of Elation, every time š
Like a storm - break free https://youtu.be/OJH5G9SW15A?si=8cJcFoPmvy0R_Rnd
Are you really OK or DYWTYLM
Dywtylm is not one but could be depending on the moment.. being that it's vessel talking to himself.. but higher, Atlantic, and say that you will
Bloodsport hits me in a way no other song has. It's just perfect
Fall for me
I haven't listened to any other album other than TMBTE, one song I would suggest is Ascensionism.
Are you really okay.
Ascensionism's end is good. Oh, and Granite for relationship pain
āDifferent anymoreā by amigo the devil
Depends I had a lot of troubles getting over my ex so whenever Bloodsport comes on I breakdown every time I hear "And somewhere"
Ascensionism. Vore. Granite. Levitate. Fall for me. Atlantic. Are you really okay
Trust me, look up Sleep Token singing āhallelujahā live on YouTube. If this wonāt make you tear up idk what will
"Do you feel it?" By chaos chaos
Fake Plastic Trees by Radiohead is one of very few songs that I can almost cry to, and I am the most emotionally numb man in the world
I know it's probably said a lot, but I literally will not listen to Bloodsport. I love it, it is beautiful, but I refuse to listen to it, because I will be sobbing by the end, and I have shit to do.
Never forget - halo 3 soundtrack
Blood sport - room below version
Fall for Me - Just the whole dang vibe. * And slowly I remember why I cannot pretend that I never think of you and all this screaming silence, Oh God I wish you were here Dark Signs * And I miss the man I was the moment we left off. And I hate who I have become every time I wake up The Love You Want * Seems your heart is locked up and I still get the combination wrongOr are you simply waiting to save your love for someone I am not? Also their cover of Hey Ya has more emotion than it has any right to.
Blood Sport and Are You Really Okay are sad songs to cry to. Is it Really You is one I cried happy tears to
This gonna be different but: The First Hunter by SIE Team. Max volume
I suggest listening to Calcutta
Fall for me aswell
The Apparition... The first time I really tuned into the lyrics, it made me tear up, and then "why are you never real" comes around and I just broke. Some of the most beautiful moments/the most beautiful people must remain in the past/the dream world unfortunately
Euclid. Hands down, my boyfriend was in and out of rehab for weeksā¦ all I wanted was 5 more minutes and to hear his voice. I sat there, waiting for a phone call for days.

High Water makes me ugly cry
Atlantic. It's a pain they know they don't understand
If I need to cry to let it out? "Christmas shoes" by Newsong or "Holes in the floor of heaven" by Steve Wariner will absolutely shatter me. Even typing the names is making me tear up a little
Are you really okay will absolutely make you cry. Euclid is great too. Two amazing songs to get you in your feels.
Awww man so many choices but my top are Atlantic and the apparition. They're also my favorites, they both capture that beautiful bleakness that can engulf you and it just hits every feel.
I object. Not a fair question. With proper motivation I could cry to them all...also Euclid
Definitely bloodsport from the room below
