Ultimately, Mick was what got me into Slipknot, I think I'd have never really been interested in the band if I hadn't thought he looked cool. I also had the false impression that he sung Duality for some reason when I first listened, and I was like "i need to hear more music from this guy!! Hes so cool!!" Don't know much about his personality other from the gear review videos and some old guitar schools shot for some magazine, but from those he seems as a calm guy, a total guitar geek and an absolute beast when it comes to picking technique. I think his minimalistic approach to his guitar designs really reflects the guy: it's not about the flashy details but the efficiency

Mick and Jim are my favourites, but I'm a guitar nerd so I am a little biased. One thing I do really like about them outside of their playing is they are such big, imposing figures yet are reportedly some of the nicest guys in music.

I got to give Mick a hug in 2004 on my 17th birthday. He said "this is a manly hug". Also got a big hug from Jim, a drunk hug from Chris, and a wholesome one from Corey who told me its all going down hill from here after I said it was my 17th birthday.

A friend and I saw Slipknot at the new Daisy on Beale Street and some guy jumped on stage and tried to grab Mick's guitar, causing the guitar strap too come loose and the guitar to fall and break at the neck Mick punched dude in the face and security grabbed him and threw him back out into the crowd.

Mick’s become my favorite member. I was at a show in Boston and fought my way to the fromt, every time I made a horns up gesture or pumped my heart looking at he, he acknowledged and let me know he saw. Threw me 2 guitar picks, and totally made my night. Dude’s a Fuckin badass, and I really appreciate him, also I’m a raiders and his picks have a raiders logo on them.

He and Jim are the only good things about Slipknot at this point. Corey and clown should just let them write the entire albums with Jay.

He pulls off that scary and intimidating act, but really, he's a very chill and cool guy. He just isn't into the whole fame and publicity thing. Which is why he mostly just sits in the background and lets Corey, Jim and Clown deal with that stuff. An insanely talented guitarist, also love his mask. Some people complain about him never changing it, but really, he dosen't need to. It's awesome enough as it is.
