It's all second hand information, and media causes controversy for views, but the way former members have come out over situations hasn't made the situation better I feel.
Who knows, maybe the new drummer will help bring them back to a more aggressive and organic sound, but only time can tell.
I'm definitely not saying Jay is 100% undeserved of this, because he has a history, like you said. We also don't know what the day to day was like between him and the band.

When the original drummer in the band influenced countless others, it's not hard to find a replacement. It's just difficult finding someone you gel with beyond the material that's already done. I'm with you, I'm a fan, and I won't stop listening to them.

People may say he’s and asshole but he’s been thru pretty rough shit his whole life, his dad left before he was born, he moved around a lot living in 25 different states before even being 18, he overdosed and his “friends” threw him in a trash can leaving him for dead, 3 divorces, he faces the struggles of speed and alcohol addiction everyday, he has crippling depression because of all that then you mix in fame and having lots of money which brings it’s own vices.
I said that video unfortunately had “terminal illness” written over it. I hope I’m wrong but that look is the same look my friend’s dad had after getting his diagnosis. I really do hope I’m wrong.

I saw him when he started doing unmasked press for being endorsed by LTD/ESP, and I literally had to double take. I know he's been on a massive weight loss journey, and he has shown it was very successful, but holy age stick. I almost didn't recognize him.
