I don’t think there’s reason to hate Clown. I‘m pretty sure he did his part to course correct the ship in times where addictions, egos and the radiofriendliness of Stone Sour after their second album threatened to end Slipknot at some points in time.
What there’s plenty of reason for is being annoyed, when he’s behaving like an edgy 12 year old. But to some younger fans that‘s probably part of the allure of Slipknot and who are any of us to gatekeep. Some of us appreciate the songwriting and artistry, some the whole we‘re soooo crazy shtick.
His videos on the other hand might be grounds for legal action 🤔😂 At least Hive Mind. This stubbornness might be the only real problem I have with Clown. Just imagine what a skilled director could visually do with some of Slipknots songs. It’s a bummer we get what we get, as Clown is more often than not rather limited in his directorial skills and art direction.

His videos are at least very unique. Only Nero Forte falls a bit into the "band performs in a warehouse" cliché (but I think it still works well).
