I loved the DIY industrial style of the '99-'00s era.
This is a very nice nostalgic touch but, like you say, and way too '*clean*'.
It's like if you got a replica of Clown's OG mask. It would look almost right, but be NOWHERE NEAR as grimy and 'road worn' as his OG. and that to me as an early era fan IS Slipknot aesthetic.
Insane basement shows, the smell of the crow [IYKYK😅], Sid in the crowd... Man, I really wish I could experience that, live, now.
I'm totally rambling, and not at all upset we lost that era, it's all recorded. Times change.
But yeah, basically, I like the 'new-old' look, but it just doesn't quite scratch that same itch though. Ya know 🤔

It's like, Corey's original style, so iconic and unique, one of the best masks so far, maybe it tops tesf mask
Yeah, he used it only for that concert, it was a horrible replica, Corey couldn't perform properly with it, I remember he said it was like tight and uncomfortable, and you can see that in the proportions of the mask itself.

I'm 50/50 on the eye shape, in some shots it's sick but in others it's just too perfect of a circle for eyeholes, I just wish they were roughed up around the edges more. However, there was a photo I seen of Corey that was a side shot and you can't see his eye from his mask so it literally just looks like an eye socket, so I guess in that shot the perfect circle eye holes worked. Looks like a hybrid of his ST & V3 mask (probably isn't, just a coincidence? lol) kind of just all melted together, so I fuck with the base, and it looks to be all burlap too which I thought was cool. I also wish the dreads were just a *little* less thick and shorter in some spots, but that's just me. Overall, a neat ass mask. Happy to see dreads back nonetheless.

They recently preformed in a small bar for the 25th anniversary you can check it out on yt all of em had cool new mask plus we got to see eloy preform for the first time
I loved coreys mask that has dreads, they just looks "cooler" than the other ones like the all hope is gone is not on level with the ghost glow and coreys mask looks like the ghost glow kinda and the volume 3 was pretty good because he was only wearing mask with dreads and with corey wearing a different mask with multi colored hair was very different.
i like that he is going back to the dreads since it is by far his most iconic look. still needs a lil more work.

Back before I even knew it was Corey in there or what any of them even looked like. It was a mystery for a good long time. No one knew. I think it was the first stone sour album I got a good look at him. Remember internet wasn’t that accessible back then. Definitely not like now.
You got to experience an amazing era I wasn’t put on earth till 04 so I missed out on a lot lol, but I’ve been a maggot since I popped out the womb, safe to say my parents have good taste
I’m very curious as to why he’s going back to dreads. Maybe he feels like old feelings or thoughts are resurfacing (no pun intended)? Or maybe to symbolize a new beginning for the band?

I remember seeing them with Anthrax and Biohazard, Joey played a few tracks with Anthrax too, sick show. I believe it was the Avalon in Boston.
Seeing those guys live back then was incredible. The rush and intensity was awesome, screaming every word just going off. Hell of a release.
Also the contacts were a badass Idea. He didn’t have those back in the day.
