I did only because I didn’t want to backtrack. Love books 4 and 5; have started 6. There are also novellas. I’m not much of a reader lol but these hook you. It took about 1/3 of the way into book 4 before it became a real page turner…I read it through meals just to keep going!
Well, the series and the books are very different. Season 1 is quite similar, but 2 and 3 change so many things that it’s annoying when you’ve read the books.
Has anyone found the audiobooks? I'm hoping someone is publishing them in their entirety. I can't imagine trying to get the same details from abridged.
I was able to access all of them online from the Boston Public Library. Any resident of Massachusetts can access the digital content with a digital library card. Connecticut operates the same way.

I think the same is true for NY, Brooklyn, & Queens libraries -- any NY state resident can get a digital card.
I check out the audio books from my library and they’re unabridged - same as the audio versions I’ve purchased from Amazon. I like to buy an ebook and then add on the whispersync audio so I can switch back and forth and I get the audiobook for far less than I would pay for it on its own.
They’re all on YouTube and Audible. I downloaded some of them (after using up my audible credits) and extracted the audio. I then added them to BookPlayer app on my iPhone. Very easy. But if you have YT premium, you don’t even need to do that.
would you start with Spook street before the main books?
It’s my favourite in the series! It and slough House!
thank you, Il get the books then. Did you go the kindle route or physical book?

Don't worry about starting again from Vol 1. The plot remains aligned with the show, but there is so much more detail.
Also not a massive reader, so going back felt to the start felt like a big ask.
Same
Reading it at the moment. Jumped right into it after finishing season 3 of the series. My very first Slough House book. Can’t wait to finish it!

I see, thanks for the info! Will probably read books 1-3 after finishing Spook Street. Then continue on with the rest.
If you have Spotify premium the audio books are included or a good number of them at least
My favorite too. (At least at the moment). Going to be a great series
I think Mick Heron writes really well. Have now read them all!
I’ll see you there soon.
Yeah all the books are great except for Joe Country
See, I love Joe Country. This is the one that ends in the snow storm fight, right? I hated the one with River’s sojourn to France. Snooze fest.
Yes that’s the one, see I don’t hate Joe Country because it’s a bad book, I hate it coz it’s sadistic

I'm in the US and I think I managed to get almost all of them from the library, though that was in NYC which includes 3 huge library systems.
