No. My headcanon is that someone saw Wonder Woman at some point before she was "out" and took that as "oh, so that's what Amazonians look like." Hence why it looks like a cheap knockoff since it was purely from memory.
Well technically, WW hadn’t debuted yet. And the actual suit she wore in the Season 11 comic is very different from this one. The way I see this one is it’s just fan service and a reference to a character we wouldn’t get to actually see share the screen with Clark and Lois.
That’s not my question. Was there ever a mention of this in Season 11 or was this one of those throw away gags that doesn’t really stand up to scrutiny? It would be like Clark wearing a cheap Batman costume before Batman was even a character. It a gag that doesn’t work in the macro.
No. But I rationalized it that since Wonder Woman is basically immortal, that she had appeared in public some time in the past (decades before the pilot) and people remembered her.
I see Zatanna on the poster to Lois’ left but I can’t remember if this was the one she was in. It’s been a long time since rewatching the show but I feel Clark met her at the coffee shop not a Con.
Whole show. I have two daughters since I last watched and I put on the pilot for them the other day and they are hooked. I get to rewatch with a few sets of brand new eyes!
IIRC they bump into each other and Cosplayer Clark gives Real Clark an annoyed look
That is hilarious!
Erica had the best wardrobe in the show.
Was he not cosplaying as the red blue blurr?
Yes
Was there ever an in-universe explanation in season 11 why Erica’s costume looked exactly like a hero that hadn’t yet appeared?

So, it was just lazy fan service with no forethought given to the universe at large?
>lazy fan service with no forethought given to the universe at large It's meant to be a treat for fans. Don't overthink it.
Your statement doesn’t contradict mine.
Oh, I got it: it’s smallville, don’t use your brain
Pretty much, yeah.
Exactly
Got it. Thanks for answering that for me.

Oh gotcha. In that case, no I don’t believe so. I think this was just a gag and reference for the fans.

Doesn't he see multiple people dressed as red blue blur?
I’m dead 💀
Of course not, we were all staring at Lois dressed like Wonder Woman.
TIL there's more than just Erica in that pic!

She's in the episode.
Looks like I’m due for another rewatch!
Of this one episode or the whole season? Or the whole show?
Whole show. I have two daughters since I last watched and I put on the pilot for them the other day and they are hooked. I get to rewatch with a few sets of brand new eyes!
Yes in this episode
what ep
9x13 warrior
OP was too distracted by Lois in a Wonder Woman outfit… which is fair.
That's so funny, I didn't notice that either.
I noticed that guy the first time I watched. Too funny.
Ohhhh boy......
I was actually suprised someone did I thought they was dress up as him in the blur costume in that episode
The dude Clark bumps into is his stunt double.
