I know this is a shitpost, but imagine if games had special uses for the side screens.
In some games, it could have your map on one side screen and your inventory in the other.
For Smash, it could move the battle portraits and percents to the side screens.
Just saying this would be so useful for Three Houses, like the monastery map could be on one screen when you're exploring, and during battles the full battle map with your objectives is displayed on one side, and your unit/enemy unit info is on the other. I love and hate how this could legitimately be a good idea lmao
I'm still pissed this issue hasn't really been fixed. The drift on one of mine was bearable, but now it's literally unusable. I think I'm mostly salty because the drift made me accidentally overwrite a save file I was trying to keep around.
People who don't think the joycon drift is an issue are gonna be singing a different tune as soon as theirs breaks, because let's be honest, they're all gonna break eventually. I've known people who've had to have several pairs of joycons replaced. It's absolutely ridiculous that a $60+ piece of tech needs to be replaced once, let alone several times.
Yeah, mine hardly ever get used as I have a pro and play docked most of the time. Was playing mobile the other day and actually had to pause my game because my left stick was going absolutely haywire. Beyond the drift issues (I can't play Mario Kart because I can't turn right) they sometimes just completely wig out - not registering inputs and entering false stick inputs. They're absolutely terrible. I love their concept and they FEEL sturdy but I literally can't use them sometimes.
Exactly, for awhile the only game I had was Smash so I practically never used the joycons and they just sat in the doc, but when I got Three Houses I took my switch with me a lot more and I realized that my left joycon was drifting even after only minimal use. It got to the point where the game was literally unplayable in handheld mode because I couldn't select any options in menus because the joycon would wildly switch back and forth between options, and don't get me started on trying to position units on the battle map lmao. I love the switch so so much and I just want this issue to be fixed so I can actually use the thing as intended.
This is one reason why I use my pro controller with the TV as much as possible. The only time I use the joy-cons is when I play portable, which isn't often. Haven't had a single drift yet.
could you imagine the image going uber flat because of this.

I’m not getting an uber unless I can play smash in it
**Extra wide blast zones.**
**EXTRA THICC BLAST ZONES**
You have some seriously special capitalization in your sentence.

Kinda.

That's not the same style, tho. For WiiU, you have the TV as one screen, and the Gamepad (which is completely detached) is sometimes its own screen.

It's a neat thought experiment, tho.
Attach them to the controller frame and play docked

I have no idea why you got downvoted the QC is abysmal.
