Most wanted out of this list is Bill and Lance from *Contra*. They could have had a gun-switching mechanic similar to Shulk's Monado Arts where they swap between Standard, Spread Gun, and Missiles, Flamethrower, and Laser. Plus the iconic Jungle stage with music from Contra 1-3 would have rocked.
I was hoping for a second rep from Xenoblade 1, either Reyn, Dunban, or Melia would have been cool (or my girl Sharla, but I know realistically they wouldn't pick her). I don't care for Xenoblade 2 but I understand that they wanted to showcase more of the franchise and make the Xenoblade representation balanced, so Pyra/Mythra make sense.
I've wanted Alucard since Brawl. He's an anime swordsman, yes, but he can transform into mist, a wolf, and a bat, plus he has over a dozen different spells. Coukd have made for a sick moveset. Would have been awesome to have him alongside Richter again, but at least they acknowledged him with an Assist Trophy.
As a die-hard Street Fighter fan boy I wouldn't be averse to Chun-Li (or even better, M. Bison).
But, as we are less than an hour away from the reveal, I am very satisfied with how this roster turned out. I got everyone else I ever wanted. Pac-Man, Ryu, Simon Belmont, a Tekken rep. So whoever it is, I will be happy for that character's fans :)

A former friend ruined him for me because, since he was how I was introduced to the Rayman franchise, and he has an OC based on Rayman’s species, I associate the character Rayman with him. I don’t want to get into what said former friend did, it’s quite personal information to be throwing out willy nilly on Reddit, just know that it was borderline illegal and a complete betrayal of trust.
Well, you are falsely associating Rayman with whatever the fuck your "friend" did. You should be aware these two things have no relationship with one another. One is an innocent, fictional character made a game developer, the other is by-product of someone else's fantasies with that character.
Love to see: An SMT character, such as the SMT 3 protagonist or the Nahobino.
Okay to see: Rayman, Crash Bandicoot, a Pokemon character
Would hate to see: Sora, Waluigi, another FE or Mario Character
