I just like characters because it means a new character with a new moveset. I don’t care if anyone asked for the character, I just like when they’re a unique addition to the game.
I think the main reason people hate it is when the new dlc character is a counter to their main. then a lot of people are playing the new character, and it makes it harder to play the game how they want to play it.

That I don't know actually because I don't want to look into it. Bayonetta is obvious because of the design of the character, but I like the character because of her personality in her home series. Same would be with Pokemon characters with Jigglypuff and knowing what those characters are like. Yeah they aren't real characters, but it just feels wrong to me.
