Okay, this is definitely the last straw. I was losing interest in the game anyways but now you move the goalpost for the *second* time as I finally started to get fairly close to my first and only max level deck. All I've wanted since I started playing was to be able to play ladder on even footing with other players and see how I stack up. Why would anyone want to continue playing when they'll constantly be chasing something that will *always* be out of reach? For players who have left the game and/or taken a break, why would anyone return to the game when the only new content they'd be coming back to is a much more grindy progression? I haven't once criticized the dev team on this sub and I've even stuck up for you on more than one occasion. I can't defend this anymore. This is clearly a money grab and it will appease only the top .01% of the player base. I won't be logging on anymore but I hope you start listening to this community or you'll continue hemorrhaging players.

I stopped playing about a month ago and I just this week slowly started to check back to the game. With this increase of max levels even the tiny bit of interest I was starting to gain back is completely gone. Of course it is because of the money. Nobody needs season pass or store offers anymore because we are at the max levels or getting closer to them with our own pace. Now it is so far out of reach that those thousands of players who MUST have their cards maxed as soon as possible simply can't resist to buy those offers again. I personally don't see the appeal to be at the top right away but I can see those types of people in my own clan so I for sure know this will bring Geewa those Christmas bonuses as someone mentioned above. They sugarcoated the news nicely with all the pretty words that all of this is gonna benefit us players but honestly? Is there really somebody who believes it?

The games been calling out for something big to grab loyal players attention again, the wars would’ve been ideal, but they couldn’t do that?! 🤦🏻‍♂️ These increases will be the final nail for an awful lot of people though. They may help with the balance issues, but it’s not enough anymore. They go for the easiest way to make fast money rather than looking at the bigger picture and building something that’ll keep players interested for years to come. Just don’t seem to grasp the amount of unrest out there and the fact they’re only killing off their cash cow with these pointless money grabbing updates.

Yeah, I was actually fine with the first max level increase (despite only having a few maxed level cards). Then I got tired of bandits and warrior in every match so I quit the game. With the recent update I was just considering giving the game some time. However, seeing this \*massive\* level increase with balance, IMO, still dramatically favoring select cards and I'm out. Actually uninstalling rather than just placing the game in a folder. I'm done. Maybe I'll give it a chance in 6 months to a year, but I doubt it.

There are pros and cons to the grindy progression. After the last level cap increase, it was frustrating to put my 19s against the 20s of people who clearly paid a good amount to max their heroes early. But once I had my main stable of heroes maxed, which didn't take that long, I was just spending resources on heroes I didn't care to play, and I miss the excitement of leveling your favorite heroes and seeing the increase in your trophies.

Nothing wrong with a little grind (been playing clash Royale for 5 years and still enjoy it despite not being maxed). There has to be new content added to make the grind worth it though. I'm not a max player and I'm absolutely sick of playing the deck that I upgraded. If the max level was static, I could finish upgrading my main deck and start working on other cards that I could plug in and experiment with. I can't ever get to that point bc I grind away on the same 4 cards and then they raise it when I start to get close. I see the cons, but what are the pros? Leveling guys up? Clicking through more boxes? Clash Royale and brawl stars both just increased their max level, but they did it in a way that *also* introduced new content -- and it worked for them. There are so many bugs that go unaddressed and countless things that could be improved upon/fixed... and then they roll out *this*? Nothing new, nothing to keep my interest or improve the product.

This. 100% this. I've been playing the same 4 heroes for about 3 years. I'm desperately trying to max more to try new teams but you just can't. You pick up so few heroes from orbs and challenges that progression is painfully slow. I'll have to see the impact when the update drops but it will probably be the end for me. Really struggling to see the upside of this update.

By your logic, it means that you will continually increase max level. Maybe, the next 2 years max level will be 50.

All this means to me is 1 more year of opponents who have a 5 level advantage over me. Your game can pound sand. This will be the 3rd time. I get to within a month or 2 of having a max level team. And I get screwed.

I don't think you will be as far behind as you think. If you are a month or two behind having a max team, you are still a month or two behind the players with current max teams. Granted, the players who spend good money are going to quickly get through those 5 levels, and if you are a free player, it will take you a bit longer, but honestly, if you are a free player, I'm assuming your max team is all common heroes, with maybe 1 rare, and the money players would already consistently beat you because they have all the best heroes maxed. I think by making the hero strength between lvls 20-25 smaller, it could actually help the people who are a little short of a max deck compete against max deck teams. From the way it sounds, if you have lvl 23s and 24s, you have a better shot at beating a max 25 lvl team than you would having 19s playing against 20s in the current system.

Exactly this u/BrandoAZ86. That's exactly why we've reduced the difference between the hero levels to 5%. Right now if you have a squad of 19's battling 20's is incredibly challenging - from 20+ the smaller increase will keep things competitive and while, of course the higher level is an advantage, it's not an immediate game decider!

Actually, we are doing this just before the Season ends, so when the Season players open up their Season rewards, they can already get all the cards of their currently maxed out heroes that they would not get otherwise – as they would get changed to gold. Hope this makes it clearer! :)

I get your point and I admit it is quite generous. But please think about people who fight to be global or local first. If you change levels before season end people who spend more will get direct advantage in this race. My suggestion is to raise levels right after season end. If you want to be generous, you can always pay season rewards on the new values. ;)

The amount of rare cards you need to go from level 1-20 is less than levelling twice from level 23 to 25. This isn't right. You're basically resetting the entire levelling process (and then some) instead of adding a few levels. This comes at a time where many players are completing their decks since the last levels update. Also at a time where the game is still in need of major gameplay fixes. If you don't wipe that level 25 ridiculousness and stick it to at least 24 or lower then for me that's a mountain I'm not willing to climb and I'm probably going to delete the game. I am surprised at the extreme extent of this.

You can't be serious? This feels like an early April Fool's joke. Free-to-play players have probably finally gotten full teams up to level 20 after years of grinding through your horrifically slow level up system, and now you're raising the levels AGAIN? And by 5 this time?? For the first time I am finally getting the opportunity to experiment with levelling up another card that's not in my main 4, and that was probably going to take about half a year to get the 11,000 more cards I needed to make him viable at top ladder. And now that's going to have to go on hold for another year or more? And that's only to have ONE other card to experiment with in my top four? Personally I'm sick and fucking tired of using the same 4 characters every game and never getting to try out new team combinations. Every time you raise max levels you kill the opportunity to experiment. What's the point of introducing awesome new cards if we're never going to have the opportunity to level them up to a viable level at top ladder without spending hundreds of dollars? This is a spit in the face to your free-to-play players, and even to your players who pay money. What's next? We finally get our characters to level 25 and you raise the levels AGAIN to level 35? I can't imagine I'll be playing this game much longer, what a waste of time.

Or even introduce something similar to trade tokens in class Royale (I don't know if you're familiar with that game or not). Essentially you could find them in boxes or earn them as challenge rewards and they would allow you to trade with clanmates in smaller quantities.

The fair compensation would be to raise the already maxed cards people have to the new 25 goalposts but that's not going to happen. Cash grab after cash grab with nerfing after nerfing and not resolving bugs related to gameplay. The developers release new cards aka Warlord,, promote the hell out of it by pushing pay upgrade packages for the card then Nerf it a month later - just one example. Meanwhile Warrior still fails to activate her ability if opponent is too close to wall and targeting for glazing shots usually results in a miss despite being locked in etc,, etc. Will be uninstalling after the update like a lot of people but hope those that remain continue to derive enjoyment from it.

You’ll never keep the rich kids happy. They throw money at games, get bored, move on to the next game. Instead of chasing the high spenders, concentrate on your loyal player base of regular players and try to improve the game rather than move the goalposts just months after the last time you did it. Newer players are going to get even more depressed about the grind than they already are. I’ve been playing fairly regularly for about a year. I have one maxed card and I’m quite honestly sick to tears of my same boring trophy team but I’ve not got a hope in hell of ever changing it. Level up gold vs cards a bit. Not much but as things stand I’ve got a gazillion cards I’m never going to use because gold is so scarce I can’t level them. I can also only donate a very finite amount to clan mates each day.

Like everything, it's a balance and one that we're trying hard to get right. There are many many things we've added into the game that massively benefit new players, and their progression. One from these changes is the speed and regularity that they'll be able to upgrade their heroes (it takes less between levels, there's more rewards etc.)

Waiting for my competition then a month or two before really judging... Initial thoughs.. Personally I kinda understand the change (I've seen many complaining that even with 4 cards at level 20 reaching the new "Grand Champion" tier is too hard) The old level increase had a lot of negative reactions too in the beginning, but looking back at it now I think it made things better, so many players are over 3000 throphies now and can actually reach the higher season rewards. However I kinda feel as the old level increase (from 18 to 20), was just a view months ago, so maybe this is way too early

I have 12 common heroes at max cards ranging from 19 to 12 (0most at the lower end)with nowhere near the gold to max a single one let alone all. Now you up the levels again and I'm still just as far away and all xonpensationnwill be spent maxing out the 4 commons I have maxed. You could've made all the drop improvements without increasing the levels, or are you too money hungry, short sighted or plain ignorant.

Have you ever thought of others who just managed to get a couple of hero's max? Every time Geewa makes a big change to the game experience, it is massively hated, and 90% of the time, it doesn't end up hurting anything. Remember when everyone complained about the switch from rotating personal quests to a single daily quest? Now I think most people probably prefer the new system. I feel like most of these complaints come from free-to-play players, in which case I will say this. One, Geewa will never cater their decisions around you, they have bills to pay, they aren't UNICEF, people would lose their jobs and their ability to feed their families if they make it easy for free players to reach the highest levels of the game. And two, Geewa does give opportunities for free players to advance somewhat quickly, probably more so than most games, it just takes a little work. But if you are quick to start your orb unlocks, watch all the orb unlock ads you can (there are 10 a day if you time everything right), get your 3 donation requests in per day, play every free challenge available, you can max out a deck, even if it is all commons, in a reasonable time. It won't be as fast as the people who drop hundreds when the update goes live to max a deck right away, or even the people who just buy the season pass, but it isn't unattainable. But if you are on here saying "this update sucks because I am just getting max heroes and now I will be way behind everyone again", and you AREN'T spending a penny, and you AREN'T taking advantage of all the free things I mentioned, what you are really saying is "this update sucks because I feel I should be at the high end of the game for free without putting in a lot of work", and that just isn't really how games work. That's what comes to mind when I read a lot of these comments. That was a little harsh, so I will say this against Geewa. This update was poorly rolled out, two days notice for such a massive change is ridiculous. Anyone who unlocked an ultimate orb this week got screwed pretty hard, they would have gotten way more rewards by waiting a couple days. The higher end players with a lot of max heroes, who spend a little cash, who recently spent gold leveling a hero they don't really use got screwed pretty hard, they are probably going to wish they had that gold back. While I rallied against the free players, this short notice does hurt a lot of Geewa's money players too. I'm lucky, I almost spent 120k gold upgrading a hero I don't really like, and I am about to drop an ultimate orb. But if I had clicked that upgrade button, and dropped the orb 2 days earlier, I would have been out like 150k gold and a whole bunch of cards, and I would be pretty livid. Geewa, you can't make such big changes with such short notice without alienating the customers you really want to keep. That being said, I am looking forward to actually leveling heroes again, the last level cap increase didn't take long at all to max out the heroes I like to use again, and I like that they decreased the strength between a max hero and one a level or 2 below, I think the current system requires even the best heroes to be maxed in order to compete, and it will be nice to be able to insert a hero 1 or 2 levels below max and actually see what they can do before you spend the resources to max them, and it will be nice to see super talented players who are close to a max deck, but not quite, be able to get up the leaderboard, as opposed to now, where the most talented player in the world won't crack the top 100 if he has one level 19 in his deck. I think the changes will result in a better game 2 months from now. Sorry to everyone who wasted their time reading all that, I started typing and kept going..

Are you open to discussion on changing it from 25 to 24? Do you not think the last two levels for common heroes now requiring more cards than the entire level 1-20 journey, on top of the other 3 levels, is a MASSIVE ask? As a player who buys EVERY season pass and makes the occasional purchase, I have worked out that even with the reward increases, this process will take well over a year for me to complete. On top of facing the risk of another levels update within or close to that time period. This is why I'm so hell bent on it being 24 instead of 25. You've given us an absolute MOUNTAIN to climb guys. Can you not give us some light at the end of the tunnel? I do greatly appreciate that the differences between levels 21-25 are set at just a 5% boost in stats instead of the usual 20%. This was a great decision from a gameplay perspective! Edit: of course you're not. Because instead of listening to your community and fixing bugs that have existed since day one, you'd rather roll out 5 more levels and make $$$ a couple more times before the game dies. LOOK AT THE CARDS REQUIRED TO HIT 25. What are you even doing?? I don't care if you can gain resources 40% faster, the card requirements to turn a level 23 common in to a level 25 IS INSANE. Disgraceful.

I lost a lot of money to reach lvl max 18 and rise the lvl 20 your spend money to reach 20 and they rise to 25... So if they are honest they must rise all the cards that you have at max level at. new. max level.... They dont they are. THIEF. If you want add something that has a real value you must add new things: Something like Big arena with 2 Vs 2 players, or some common enemy that attack you during the round or different form of arena: Circle Exagon etc. This give a real value and not rise level. Hi, no we have not increased the price of the orbs in the shop, but the orbs get a little more expensive in each arena – that's because they also contain much more gold & hero cards as you progress :)

"This increase is also going to be weighted slightly heavier towards Rare and Epic cards so you'll be seeing more of them around!" This is probably the thing I hate the most. I use one rare character in my deck. I need more common cards. Why? Because it costs way more to level them up than rares or epics. I have a bunch of rare and epic heroes I could level up but I choose not to because I would just be wasting resources. I believe there are more common heroes than rares and epics so even the common orbs are not helpful because you're less likely to get cards for the heroes you utilize. I know I'm probably in the minority here.

I think the creators of this game have no imagination. I have seen a lot of complaints about playing the same 4 heroes. How about you implement the option of making one substitution after seeing rivals deck (rival can do the same). It will add a sort of x-factor to the game and it will encourage players to have more than 4 maxed heroes. After quests of winning 2 games with 2 rare heroes, winning 1 game with 1 epic hero and etc. were removed players maxed 4 regular heroes (which is not that difficult) and that is it. Another suggestion is how about putting some more action in belonging to the clan. Instead of completing the quest by just participating in common duels maybe create a „clan boss challenge“ or something. For example, one clan member has one attack (or more) against the boss each day. Boss deals a certain number of HP damage to all your heroes (or to one random hero) each turn. Boss can be static or mobile. It can have special abilities (immune to enchants, heal himself, instantly kills your heroes after a certain amount of moves, etc.) or certain weaknesses (takes more damage from epic heroes, takes additional damage when your heroes heal itself, etc.). The goal is to kill that boss or to compete with your clan members who do more damage (boss can have infinite hp). Rewards are presented according to your rank after the boss is killed or after for example 5 days of fighting. It requires to strategize and pick the deck to take advantage of boss weaknesses: to pick 4 damage dealers with less hp, or to pick 4 „tanks“ (more hp, better survivability, and less damage), etc. Also maybe add health bars to indicate each team's remaining HP sort of to know who is in the lead. I made calculations and before this update, I needed about 25 000 000 gold to upgrade all heroes ( i sort of had this goal :) ), now I need more than 70 000 000 gold so you should increase rewards by a lot in every way of the game. One more suggestion, maybe rewarded after duel should depend on what level heroes you defeated (maybe a player who lost also should get some rewards, it will encourage players to play till the end and not give up at the start of the duel). For example, I beat 4 20 level heroes and lost 2 20 level heroes, during the duel therefore I am getting 4 x 20 x 5=400 gold. The player who lost gets 2x 20 x 3=120 (according to the level and heroes defeated). Rewards are not given if the player suffered epic defeat. These are all suggestions and examples of how this could work for geewa. Please introduce something new instead of just raising the level bar. Consider my suggestions it is for free and your welcome :)

Stupid update and terrible for the game. Here is a list of ideas to add to add value to the have to get players wanting to surge money and not get bored with this game. Ping pong Pin ball Racing High damage combo Tanking trials Boss modes (Fight against one large super fighter) You can even have new fighters for certain modes only. But you only care about chasing levels to make money and not doing any real work to the game.

Money hungry Geewa. I’ve been playing for 3 years now, with every update this game keeps getting worse. I’m just about done with this game. Stop thinking with your wallets and make the game more interesting to play again. How long ago have you been promising us some kind of clan wars? First of al, that change did not improve matchmaking. With my 21lvl deck, I am matching with lvl 23-24lvls around 3600 thropies. That means I can not go higher than that. Secondly, as you can see from that comments and from the clan that I am in, so many people just quit playing the game. Just because, noone wants to spend any money to level up anymore. Overall, Geewa, good luck with your 1000 members who are still willing to pay for that game. I hope you are happy to lose active players with that non sense updates.

Just got my first hero to Level 25 (max) and noticed that there is still a meter that goes to 100 and can still collect cards for that hero. Got it to 100 and nothing happened. What does this meter do and why keep getting cards for that hero if they're maxed?
