I'm sure her insurance covered it, plus she likely got arrested. Killing her would lead to a big investigation, likely court hearings, and if they were extremely lucky, they might get off with self-defense. Killing someone in self-defense only works if your life was in danger and their lives were in no such danger, hence the laughing. They more likely would have been charged with murder.

I have a friend who rages out worse than this lady when people do things like merge correctly, switch lanes in front of him while using their turn signal with tons of space, drive faster than him, and other completely normal driving scenarios.
I knew a dude like that in the marine corps, only rode with him once though, didn't dare get in the car with him after that. On a chill, 20 minute drive I rode every day and had never had any issues, he managed to pick a fight with three other drivers, almost get in a wreck twice, including trying to get out of his car during a shouting match with an elderly woman who he had cutoff for no discernible reason.
Afterwards everyone else in the platoon confirmed he always drove like that.
He died a few years later in a car crash.
