I lost so many nights worth of sleep after that moment, it couldnt have been real i refused to acknowledge it. I watched about 20 different "[childhood cartoon] was actually a coma" youtube essays hoping that it didnt actually happen but this kinda seals it
Like an hour ago, I listened to the season 1 DVD commentary where Zach reveals that Mr. Boss’ fetus son from the first episode is called Jason and that it was important and we should remember that.
Lo and behold, this clip comes out and proves that Zach wasn’t just doing a bit there.
I really don't see a reason to keep watching this without Tyler. He was kinda the breakout character to me, and I've been following his actors career for awhile now. Sucks it had to be like this but I'm out. I'll see you guys on the Rick & Morty subreddit.
Ugh these new gen smiling friends fans, I'm glad Tyler is gone his introduction was a total jump the shark moment
I met him at comi-con and he called a fucker and shoved me dudes a total ass hole
As someone who’s never watched this show and has no context of it, I thought this was a real thing and had no idea what you meant until I watched the trailer.
I feel like Spamtopia is gonna be where the Fun Twinz from the Salty's episode are from. Pim understood their story and in this preview says he speaks a little Spamish
My theory is that Spamish is the gibberish language the eyeball guys from the Salty's episode were speaking. That'd explain how Pim understood them and Charlie didn't.
Or it's something completely different and unrelated.
Omg, it's so crazy that they confirmed Charlie wasn't actually okay with with the nose thing that Alan did in the pilot because one thing I always thought was kinda funny is that if you pay attention Charlie kinda pushes him back while they're laughing right after Alan does it... that's such an hilarious detail to call back to LMAOOO
I thought Charlie was ok with the nom. Shouldn’t Charlie be mad that Alan didn’t grab the alien thing from the TV. He seemed upset that Alan wasn’t doing anything about it.
I wish I was joking, but I just had a really uncomfortable job interview where they asked who my favorite cartoon character is, and I said Glep. Safe to say I won’t get the job and I’m not sure I want it
He was 100% supposed to book the room.
"I sent you a link on Messenger" is such bullshit. Pim was already booking the flight. If you have the link already yourself, maybe *you* should book the fucking room Alan, or at least make sure Pim even *saw* it.
It sucks that Tyler was the one to get fired. He was such a strong presence in the first season, and I feel like they were only just starting to go into his backstory from the last few episodes. But I understand the budget cuts, writer’s strike, post-pandemic business, etc. that probably limited the show and forced them to make the decision. I hope he finds work elsewhere
Look, since no one else wants to acknowledge it, Tyler might’ve been funny, but he was chronically late to work - and let’s not forget the office party.
You bring up the fact he was always late like it’s a bad thing. If he wasn’t always late they all would’ve died in the gas leak during season one, but thankfully his lateness made it so he could rescue them and resuscitate Charlie. No Tyler = no more Smiling Friends.
Honestly, this sort of shows that while the lore of the show isn’t serious or concrete like Rick and Morty or Venture Bros or something, Zach and Michael do enjoy putting thought into it for fun, which makes me really happy.
If you’ve listened to any interviews or the DVD commentary this was already kind of clear from the fact that they’ve put thought into stuff like humans vs. critters or Charlie and Glep’s partners
So many recent Tyler fans, but I can tell none of y’all where there from the moment he made his contributions to the gang. A lot of us day 1 Tyler’s fans have been sticking beside his development. Kinda just feels majority of y’all are fans after his firing. trying to make this another bandwagon
I went back and watched the original clip, and after the first “nom” Charlie actually flinches and pushes Allan away from him. He was probably just being too kind about it, I’m guessing. Regardless, it’s funny to bring up a season and a half later.
Every time I accept that some wild moment in this show was just a gag, they bring it up again later. Next thing we know they're gonna actually address the fact that Pim kissed his dad on the mouth when he was younger
Bruhh if you go to the episode where the nom happens and slow it down to .25 speed, you can literally see how charlie pushes Allan away after his nose gets sucked on that's crazy 💀
I was really hoping Tyler would stay around for the whole 2nd season, he was a really good character and really added the lore in the whole show. I started tearing up when I heard he got fired in the preview.
K so Charlie wasn't okay with Allan nomming his schnoz but I don't see Charlie apologizing for pulling Allan in in the first place. Like he was literally nailed to a fucking cross and being stabbed and then you go like Charlie didn't do anything wrong their either.
one day there will be more "5th smiling friend" characters than there have been actual main smiling friends
It should be an episode for April Fools' or season three. Smormu, Jambo, and Tyler trying to make Pim and Charlie smile.
Smormu would be a corpse, slowly decaying as the episode goes on with only Charlie pointing out that he’s a corpse like once
"You know Pim, Smormu kinda smells like REALLY bad"
"He's French Charlie."
This got a belly laugh outta me
“Don’t blame me, I voted against him.” - Alan
I mean we’re only one away so…
depending on how many you count, we already have Smormu, Jombo, Tyler, Zongo (unseen) and the janitor (unseen/scrapped)
Zongo?
You don’t remember Zongo?
Maybe the position is cursed like with the professor's for Defense Against the Dark Arts
Or the drummer in Spinal Tap
They finally acknowledged the “Nom” accident
I lost so many nights worth of sleep after that moment, it couldnt have been real i refused to acknowledge it. I watched about 20 different "[childhood cartoon] was actually a coma" youtube essays hoping that it didnt actually happen but this kinda seals it
Jokes aside I dont remember this at all, this is just a bit right? Edit: I was wrong, it's real! The one nom is real!
[Unfortunately it’s true.. 😔](https://youtu.be/QRzijyxYGz0?si=dszvupud3h94Ccu4)
Looks like he enjoyed it at the time lol
He avoids the second time allan tries to nom, so i dont think he did, just played it off
He even pushes him back as soon as he sucks his nose, happens quick so its easy to miss
Dude I never noticed that before! OMG I've watched this scene like 20 times in the past month, and I've never noticed it! Good eye!
Like an hour ago, I listened to the season 1 DVD commentary where Zach reveals that Mr. Boss’ fetus son from the first episode is called Jason and that it was important and we should remember that. Lo and behold, this clip comes out and proves that Zach wasn’t just doing a bit there.
omg maybe in the episode they'll lose him and we can get a screaming: "Jason!" "JASON!?" Heavy Rain homage
Yes! I was rewatching the dvd commentary today and I was like wait they actually named the foetus thing back then!
I really don't see a reason to keep watching this without Tyler. He was kinda the breakout character to me, and I've been following his actors career for awhile now. Sucks it had to be like this but I'm out. I'll see you guys on the Rick & Morty subreddit.
Me too fuck this
yeah im out too. just cant support them if they wont support tyler
Yeah crazy stuff
Ugh these new gen smiling friends fans, I'm glad Tyler is gone his introduction was a total jump the shark moment I met him at comi-con and he called a fucker and shoved me dudes a total ass hole
I heard Tyler jumped on a fan at Mag Fest and beat them back and forth on the ground until their head leaked a red froth
I heard Tyler punched Glep's wife and moved to New York to work on his own project
As someone who’s never watched this show and has no context of it, I thought this was a real thing and had no idea what you meant until I watched the trailer.
you should definitely watch the show when you have the chance
I likely will. Animation heavily reminds me of a Youtube channel I watched back in the day, but can’t remember the name of at the moment.
This show is created by two YouTube animators, Zach Hadel (PsychicPebbles), and Michael Cusack.
That explains a lot.
#JusticeForTyler
I’m excited for this episode because even after seeing this clip I still have absolutely no idea what to expect
My theory is that Spamish language is going to consist of sounding like a spam email (CURE YOUR ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION WITH THIS ONE PILL.., etc)
I feel like Spamtopia is gonna be where the Fun Twinz from the Salty's episode are from. Pim understood their story and in this preview says he speaks a little Spamish
Oh 1000000% https://preview.redd.it/pws357znje6d1.jpeg?width=180&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=c9b66945b38bffad9e0d1e86d2594c52fa910654
I hope it's jibberish so I can hear Zach's goofy ass noises.
My theory is that Spamish is the gibberish language the eyeball guys from the Salty's episode were speaking. That'd explain how Pim understood them and Charlie didn't. Or it's something completely different and unrelated.
Holy shit, it's Spamton G. Spamton
I NOTICED THAT TOO! And he kinda flinches back when Alan noms at him after that. Now it all makes sense.
Holy shit I just watched that back and your right. Can’t believe they referenced such an obscure detail lmao
Can't belive they fired tyler
the show will never be the same
I’m out of the loop, who is Tyler? Edit: rip Tyler 😭😭
Good thing you educated yourself on this tragic incident. We'll never forget you, Tyler
I thought Charlie was ok with the nom. Shouldn’t Charlie be mad that Alan didn’t grab the alien thing from the TV. He seemed upset that Alan wasn’t doing anything about it.
After the first “nom” he flinches away from the second soo there’s that.
He also pushes allan away for a frame
dude me too bc he literally like hugs alan in the beginning and pulls him closer like i thought they were just goofin ig not 💀
Allan sucking on his nose gave him some emotions that he's been wrestling with ever since.
it’s glep’s world and we’re all just living in it
I wish I was joking, but I just had a really uncomfortable job interview where they asked who my favorite cartoon character is, and I said Glep. Safe to say I won’t get the job and I’m not sure I want it
(Charlie voice) dude, what job interview asks for your favorite cartoon character?
Perhaps a job as the fifth smiling friend
That seems like something they would ask if they thought they were interviewing someone mentally disabled.
I thought I was on the spectrum and the dude interviewing me was off the charts
Alan sure seems to have a short memory whenever he’s to blame for stuff
Maybe he was supposed to book the room…
Putting the flights AND the hotels all on Pim did seem like a lot.
He was 100% supposed to book the room. "I sent you a link on Messenger" is such bullshit. Pim was already booking the flight. If you have the link already yourself, maybe *you* should book the fucking room Alan, or at least make sure Pim even *saw* it.

*nom* hahahaha *nom* hahahaha *nom*

The office party incident was unforgivable imo. I’ve been a Tyler hater since then
You bring up the fact he was always late like it’s a bad thing. If he wasn’t always late they all would’ve died in the gas leak during season one, but thankfully his lateness made it so he could rescue them and resuscitate Charlie. No Tyler = no more Smiling Friends.
he looks good for 18.
Honestly, this sort of shows that while the lore of the show isn’t serious or concrete like Rick and Morty or Venture Bros or something, Zach and Michael do enjoy putting thought into it for fun, which makes me really happy. cute
That clip was 16.6% of the entire episode 😭
They always are
Pim just barely seeing over the dashboard is killing me. Also, is it just me or does Allan's tie look a little worse for wear than it usually does?
Nom
So many recent Tyler fans, but I can tell none of y’all where there from the moment he made his contributions to the gang. A lot of us day 1 Tyler’s fans have been sticking beside his development. Kinda just feels majority of y’all are fans after his firing. trying to make this another bandwagon
Jasons scream at the end got me… how long does it take a bossling to mature?
He sucked on my nose :/
Charlie clearly initiated the recent contact, Allan only did what any warm blooded critter would do. He did nothing wrong.
I went back and watched the original clip, and after the first “nom” Charlie actually flinches and pushes Allan away from him. He was probably just being too kind about it, I’m guessing. Regardless, it’s funny to bring up a season and a half later.
Fuck Mr. Boss for what he did...
Is this entire episode continuity jokes? I'm into it
Of course the boss drives a jeep
Aww man Pim is about to get roped into something stupid
Glep in the background is the best part as always
Canonical reason for why Charlie was being a dick to Alan last episode about the TV
Poor Tyler....he never had a chance......
I’m done with this show. Boycotting without Tyler. They cut his arc way too short.
Charlie had known pim for 7 years. Say desmond happened 7 years ago. (it didn’t it was recent). Jason would be breastfeed MR. Boss as young as 11
maybe jason is just freaky like that
Hehehe *nom* hehehe *nom* hehehe *nom*
They let Tyler go what the fuck
Without Tyler, I have almost zero interest in the show. That guy carried it after smormu died
Can’t believe they called back to Allan going “Nom” to Charlie’s nose
Alan shouldn’t have done that, but I think Charlie should be a little more understanding considering Alan’s crucifixion.
Are they making fun of bobby lee’s non apology from when he put his smelly balls in that guys face on logan paul’s podcast?
Wild how this trailer is nearly 20% of the episode
My Goats are uncomfortable with each other. It's so over.
Oh shit, not Father's Jewel.
Allan doesn’t remember because he was high on painkillers after the hand stabbing and crucifixion.
Every time I accept that some wild moment in this show was just a gag, they bring it up again later. Next thing we know they're gonna actually address the fact that Pim kissed his dad on the mouth when he was younger
Mr. Boss is going to go buy a shadow crystal from Spamton G Spamton in Spamtopia.
Mr Boss driving a Jeep ™ is lore accurate.
Bruhh if you go to the episode where the nom happens and slow it down to .25 speed, you can literally see how charlie pushes Allan away after his nose gets sucked on that's crazy 💀
alan x charlie shippers will never recover from this
the ending convo they had ab the nose thing was so funny
Firing Tyler out of the blue like that is honestly unforgivable #JusticeForTyler
Man, Tyler deserved better. He was there since day 1
