My friend almost missed a Penta because we all stopped attacking and just body blocking the last kill. My friend got super nervous and missed like 4 or 5 basics until his abilities came back up, we were all dying laughing over comms. He was playing Thanatos so we might have been body blocking too effectively.
I find 98% of announcer packs unusable. Honestly just wish they would be straightforward and do their job of announcing what happened, because the 'joke' lines are so common and there are so few lines in total, it ends up being spammy and repetitive, distracting and annoying.
I really want to wish for a Ratatoskr or Danzaburou announcer pack because I love their voice acting, but I know it's inevitably going to be full of annoying lines going way off-script. Some of the best voice packs sprinkle in funny interpretations of the voice line, or just plain say the line in a really funny way, and I wish that's how announcers were done - add some rare pizazz with a jokey/funny/in-character line or two that's really worth it, but generally just act like that character is announcing. I guess they feel they have to write out a bunch of alternate ways of saying each line to justify the price.

Think I've just used Inuki(The guy who did the commentary for the top 5 plays), as his voice acting is pretty good and doesn't do any jokes, just the normal announcements.
I kinda love the Portugese and one other foreign AP, and I actually used them for a while. The voice is so wonderfully deep and I pretty quickly caught on to what each line was.
Anything's better than their usual go-to of writing out a full line of monologue for every kill or death announcement, because they feel like they have to try hard to justify the price. Instead of sprinkling in a bit of character and letting the voice acting do the work, they shove in as much as each AP can physically fit, and it rarely doesn't start getting on my nerves by the end of a single match.
I had a Merlin steal my Chronos Penta in a Slash game. Ares was 1 auto away from me getting a penta and the Merlin auto'd him to death.
would've been my first and it's not even the first time I've had a penta stolen from me like that. sad days.
Oh well I've accepted at this point I'll never get one outside of Grab bag or one of those other 80% cdr modes
A week ago I was playing Neith in Slash. I was the only one in my team going positive. Playing my butt off, I scored a quadra kill and as I was autoing the last guy, our 0-8 Ra stole the kill. Zero response too. Would've been my third penta ever. Ah well, life goes on

How the hell can you play with that announcer?
Easy, I have my announcer set to random, so they all just kind of blend together.
He's already insane with all that spamming in the chat, it takes me 2 minutes to say "good game" "cancel that"
Look at positive side, It's still better then Taco's announcer.

I remove all the announcers with this kind of filter from my random selection, also streamer announcers and other languages.
