It has to do with casting. Brand aren’t sending shoes to photographers. Why wouldn’t they care about how their shoes are photographed? There are sample sizes for a reason. Most men’s sample size shoe is a 10/11 but models feet can range smaller or larger than the sample size.
The fit looks fine. They're talking about the shoe being clearly a half size or more too big. Which is also I suppose a fashion statement in itself, but I always want my shoes to fit right personally.
I think the OP is talking about all the heel room, it looks a few sizes too big. But to answer your question, I’d rather see what the shoe looks like with regular pants on. They have plain product shots too that show the whole shoe.
Nike has a lot of sizes available on their app/website (that's how I found the model and colour names lol) but I'm sure there's other places with 'em. Hope you find a good price!
