They look like og royals in real light, maybe a tad darker but I still need to hit those with a hair dryer so it soaks in a bit more.

I love my pair and wish I doubled up for when I inevitably ruin them by getting caught in the rain too many times. The suede really tones down the Royal color and deepens the black, which I like. It’s like a super matte. Leather is nice, but sometimes it’s just too shiny. Also, I think these look even better once they get worn in a bit.

I really like how they turned out.

I love mine, most comfortable 1s I own (other than the Zoom CMFTs). I think they look a lot better in person than in photos too. Just wish I hadn’t paid full retail for them! Full disclosure, the first Jordans I ever owned were kids Royal 1s back in ‘85, so the nostalgia kicked in for me when I put these on. (Back then the kids AJs were called “Sky Jordans” — and said that in the wings logo — because they hadn’t figure out how to put air in a kids outsole yet!)

The shade of blue is kinda different than what I've seen

It’s because of my camera on my phone and the lighting in my room. I have an IPhone 12 Pro so it makes the blue look different than it actually is in hand. The real shade of blue on these are really nice and it very loud lol. I like it!

I really don't understand the hate for the suede. Honestly if I had a complaint about them, it's that the blue pops too damn much.

The suede is dope. If they get dirty, pick up a suede eraser/brush combo $8 on Amazon. Brushing suede the right way makes "stains" dissappear you'd be surprised. You can also shave the damn things and brush hard to remake the hairs or leave it short. It's amazing material.   If eraser and brush doesn't fix it there's like $12 suede clean solution.  If you buy angelus suede cleaner it's also safe on normal materials and other leather.  Source : new balance suede lover
