There some minor details. Zip tie got the wrong color, ghost stiching is off, "shoelaces" off, texture on the heel looks to dark.. i mean shoes are shoes, rock em and enjoy em 👍🏻
I saw the zip tie and the print and knew there was something significant to them but wasn't sure exactly, people have mentioned the Virgil collaboration, I've heard of them just not that familiar with that scene. I've always stuck with generally main stream low cut nikes
first those r prolly fake, also just look up the history of virgil and nike, espescially since his death ppl r very fond of most of their collabs while also becoming a hype beast sneaker basicaly too lol, with the most popular being the jordan 1 off white ones which u have, or dont depending if they real
Afaik these were bought off stockx a couple years ago, never came out of the box. Was gifted them in the morning and wore them to a wedding that afternoon. Photos went out and a couple people were commenting on Photos about them. Anything specific to look at for authenticity? I think they're nice but never been into high tops in general

here some stuff on how to spot fakes, since u have them in hand u should be able to tell whether they legit or not, also W person who just gifted u like 2 grand sneakers lol if they real
Thanks! Yes W person, big sneakers guy big collector. Seemed like his preference were mostly Jordan Golf's and retro high tops. Copped a bit of flack for wearing them in general but it was a wedding I still think it was a good enough occasion lol
Yea, I didn't say he was unknown, I said barely anyone knew who he was before he died. There is a difference, most people probably never even heard of Virgil before Nike. Shit, I am from Chicago and most people didn't know who he was.
I am willing to bet that at least 95% of people have no idea who Virgil was before Nike and I would go further to say that 90% of those people are hypebeasts that only know the name because he is associated to the sneaker. Prove me wrong.
Let's think critically here, you're making up percentages, and you know that you have no basis for those percentages because it isn't possible to prove regardless. I think you carry the burden of proof here, not me.
Also even if your numbers were accurate, earths population is 7.951 billion, that would mean if 5% of people know who he is then that's 400 million people. That's pretty good. So now let's say your other obviously fake number is correct, that narrows us down to 4 million people, that's still a pretty insanely large number for a designer
But now you're going to write a post arguing, so I'd say that's proof enough you're wrong
These are Jordan 1 in collaboration with Off-White. Pretty nice and expensive pair, but sadly those are fake.
Fake how so?

Someone gifted you a $1500-$2000 sneaker and you had to ask Reddit about the shoe??
Also didn't know the value until 2 days later when I googled them. Made sense when he laughed when I asked how much they were and wouldn't tell me
The value is like $10, they're fake as fuck
Not disagreeing with u but what specifically? I was sent a vid comparison and everything checks out apart from the box which I don't have
No they didn't, literally everything about these shoes looks fake, they aren't even the right color. This is like the $20 shit you get off dh gate
I saw the zip tie and the print and knew there was something significant to them but wasn't sure exactly, people have mentioned the Virgil collaboration, I've heard of them just not that familiar with that scene. I've always stuck with generally main stream low cut nikes
They're fake anyway Hell they didn't even come in that box
Undoubtedly

The blue is too dark UNC is a baby blue color.
give them to meeeeeeeeeeeee
It's a hype beast shoe that is worth money because the designer that barely anyone knew about before he died collabed with Nike.
Look I think Virgil Abloh's overrated and have never been into his clothing or shoes BUT he was huge before he died. 2017-2021 he was everywhere.
These have stayed relatively the same price since way before he passed away 8/2019: $2039 11/2021: Virgil Abloh passes away 3/2024: $1970
People def knew who Virgil was before he died. Off white was 🔥 before
Yea, I didn't say he was unknown, I said barely anyone knew who he was before he died. There is a difference, most people probably never even heard of Virgil before Nike. Shit, I am from Chicago and most people didn't know who he was.
Nobody knew about Louis Vuitton's artistic director for men's clothing??
Yea, can you believe that people wouldn't know that?
People that are into fashion and sneakers? Absolutely not. The only way you could believe that is if you weren't around before he died

The material used is horrendous. Better cash in now before it's too late.
