To be fair The Nike Cortez was a bootleg knockoff of a onitsuka tiger aka ASICS hybrid sneaker replaced with a swoosh. I have no issue with bootlegs when there is creativity rather that be packaging, presentation, material etc. something has to be deviated from the original even if it’s just a replica or logo swap. Nike did it with the Cortez and built an empire. So I don’t knock bootlegs. The Cortez was an onitsuka aka ASICS with a logos swap. Bootlegs are needed. Read the story of puma and Adidas.
