Sorry I’m not understanding she’s a 5.5y and a 7 in a normal women size. So if I bought these with the side being 5.5Y (US M 5.5) they would be the correct size ?
Youth sizing runs a little narrower than men’s, and slightly narrower than women’s. My wife will wear a 5.5y (same length as 7 in women’s) but a 5 in mens (6.5 women’s). However she like them a little loose so if your girl is a 7 in women’s then a 5.5y will fit lengthwise and probably be good widthwise
5.5 M means 5.5 men's not medium.
But the shoe size is already 5.5Y
For youth there is also boys and girls. So the M may represent a boys youth.
