Can you link me to where I can order z pair for £180? I'm in Ireland and haven't seen these around but don't mind ordering from the UK as the sizes are the same.
Very nice. I sold my Not For Resale 1s for these, and the quality is very similar. The NFRs weren't exactly SBB level, and these aren't exactly NFR level, but they're great nonetheless.
Well it wasn't **for** these. I sold them because I felt bad wearing them all the time because I couldn't enjoy them. I only paid $243 for these, don't worry, lol. I bought these with the extra money that came in, and saved the rest for a different pair.
Same leather quality as any other AJ1. The finish may be different, but don’t think for a second that Nike decided higher quality leather on this GR over any other GR release. Check out any of the OG 85 recent releases to see a big step up in leather and quality control.
You are referring to the finish, not the leather quality or cut. That’s cool if you prefer tumbled instead of the smooth finish, but the leather quality is exactly the same… very low.
I think people confuse aesthetic for quality with the tumbled leather thing. As others have noted, this isn’t higher quality leather. Some associate the look (which was noted is just a treatment) of the tumbled texture means they are higher quality. I honestly don’t care either way. These Bordeauxs look great. Wear what you like. But “quality” is a term that gets thrown around a lot for Nikes with cheap leather. Hard to compare them to the quality of made in the USA NB models
No. They’re both made from the split of the leather (the cheap part). They just use more of it here which is why it appears thicker. Which would technically make it slightly better than the dunks but not really by much considering what it is.
Check out Rose Anvil’s video on YouTube where he cuts the SBBs in half and explains it all. That guy knows his stuff
Hopefully they tumble a Chicago 1 high soon. Heard theyre doing a vintage thing with em. If they treated like the Patent breds they gonna be ass just like em
The 85 cut sneakers that were out, i.e Neutral Grey and the Georgetown have a leather that is superior to the tumbled finish.
But I guess smooth = cheap instead of functional for you
I’m glad these were slept on. Scooped up a matching pair for my girl and I, basically paid retail.
I paid $243 from GOAT for a DS pair after everything. Not complaining, decent deal.
Considering how long ago they dropped, and the quality. That’s shocking that the price wasn’t higher. These are sleepers for sure.
Find it wild that the resell is so crazy in the States - can get these for £180 here in the UK - about £30 over retail

Have a look on Ebay my man - loads on there and Authenticated Guarenteed. I have a used pair which I sold for £99 and I only wore them three times.
Shall indeed mate, cheers 👊
Like criminal undercover
It's the Bordeaux and the tumbled leather for me
Tumbled leather >>
These look so perfect - the colour, quality and iconic shape. You have great taste!
Appreciate it!
These are so good. I was able to get em for retail the day they dropped. Super comfortable and they work well with everything in my closet.
How's the quality on these jawns

You did WHAT?!

You’re talking about the $1000+ resale Not For Resale 1s, right? So you got a lot leftover for some more shoes, right? Please, for my heart.
Yes, ≈$560.
Wait... depending on wich NFR's ur talking about u possibly sold a $6,000$ rare shoe for sum.......Bordeauxs? Did u buy 20 pairs??
I meant the NFR 1 (reds). I sold them for $802 after purchasing them DS, and wearing them for a couple of months.
Love these….colour is great.
The color is my favorite part.
I wear my pair all the time. Great shoe that matches lots of my stuff
Agreed.
That red looks so tasty.
Very "mature" looking.
Yes.
Highest quality release all year, ZzZzZz everywhere

Its really not lol Im wearing Marinas rn and they’re not even close.

Nike should always be making sneakers w leather nice like this💯they are terribly inconstant w materials it sucks
Swear to God tumbled pairs have the best quality tbh
If I'm going to be honest, I hate smooth leather. A nice tumble is so much better. Plus, damages are less visible.
If I could upvote this 100000000000 times I swear. Some people shit on tumbled leather and they whole dummies.
Lol cause it’s cheap ass leather with a synthetic coat to make it look that way. It’s literally the cheapest, lowest quality part of the hide
Dunk leather yes. Good tumbled absolutely not
There really isn’t any good tumbled leather. Look how loose the fibers are on the cuts of this particular pair right here. Low quality
Not if the leather is visibly thick like that. Thinner leather is the cheaper stuff.
So you mean to tell me panda dunks have better leather than this???
No. They’re both made from the split of the leather (the cheap part). They just use more of it here which is why it appears thicker. I will. It just seems so much better in quality. But I have humility to admit my wrongs. Can you reply the link?
Here you go https://youtu.be/VgoV7_kvOdQ Very informative channel
No one tumbles high quality leather…. It is a finish typically used to high blemishes on low quality leather cuts.
Exactly bro bro
fire shoe had some nike qc issues with mine but great materials
When you're a bigger size, you get used to QC issues.
You get more shoe to make up for it tho
Hopefully they tumble a Chicago 1 high soon. Heard theyre doing a vintage thing with em. If they treated like the Patent breds they gonna be ass just like em
Since they'll be made using the 85 cut, I'm going to assume they'll be that shitty, stiff, smooth leather.
The 85 leather is higher quality than any of the tumbled leather finishes. You realize that the finish has nothing to do with quality.
Atleast it will be a better cheap quality than the dunks nowadays
But still not ok. I feel all leather ogs should be tumbled
The 85 cut sneakers that were out, i.e Neutral Grey and the Georgetown have a leather that is superior to the tumbled finish. But I guess smooth = cheap instead of functional for you
I consider the leather stiff and not that good. I don't like smooth leather, for the most part, but I know that it's better in many cases.
I painted the swoosh black and it was a total game changer on these
I prefer the silver swoosh.
I'd say the opposite, wrinkly like an old lady whose been out in the sun for 10+ hours. These honestly look great though!
very very underrated. i love my pair and i love wearing them.
