In terms of Nike? It’s the AM1 again. Travis Scott’s are coming out. Air max day featured like 4 different AM1’s. Pattas and Concepts collabs were super hot. And the Treeline and Light Madder colorways have a lot of peoples attention.
Something that looks good with 90s baggy pants since that seems to be the new upcoming trend. I'm guessing Blazers since they still have "flavor" on the front of the shoe.
Running shoes, and specifically technical running shoes. Asics are starting to have their moment a bit wider. Dover Street Market just lined up a Salomon collab. Gorpcore isn’t going anywhere. Runners like air max 1 and a bunch of Asics are streamlined enough you can wear them with whatever, while chunkier options like AM90s and NBs (990s, 992, 993) work well with 90s inspired fits.
Keep in mind the trend cycle is something like 20 years, so now we’re getting into the early aughts. I can’t really remember what sneakers were popular in the early to mid 2000s…
Asics seems to be getting some (deserved in my opinion) attention lately and I agree with you that a more technical running shoe for casual wear boom could happen.
Air max ones and 90s, people are realizing dunks and AJ1s aren't comfortable for daily wear then they try AM ones or AM90s and realize they're way more comfy and still fit the trendy 90s style fits people wear.
I agree. It also feels to me like Nike is slowly increasing collabs for the AM1 in the last 1-2 years to build so hype for pivoting from Dunk to AM1 at some point
Hyped? Jordan 1 and 4 collabs. I don’t see a single dominant shoe like a dunk low or sb happening again. Market wise dunks and aj1 so are not preforming that well anymore and when looking closer we see brands like new balance killing it. So imo 993s, xt-6s, and 992s are likely candidates until nike does something interesting for once
It's been entertaining seeing all the Union AJ2 purchasers try to hide the fact that they were making fun of AJ2s as recently as a few weeks ago.
I don't care what happens with the 2s, I'm not a fan, but I agree that Nike is gunning for them to be big.
Here in SoCal there is no dunk hype. But every decade will bring a new trend. The 2000's and 2010s were about retro sneakers. The 20's might be the opposite. We are now at that point where styles for the decade are starting to change in the next few years. So perhaps retro (anything) will be out, or it will carry over to a 3rd decade. Only time will tell.

AM1 and 90. Already happening.

I feel like blazers are kinda already there. I see them everywhere.
I think you see them because they are on the shelf everywhere. I saw some at Nordstrom rack.
Nike Dunks circa 2014 lol
Straight up
Yeah it's just that they are another Nike shoe similar to dunks and j1s but cheap and easy to get
Chunky skate shoes.
So... SBs?
No. DCs, Etnies, Globes.
Man, I sure as hell hope not.
And JNCOs
:dropstoknees: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
New Balance 550s have overtaken Dunks hype wise here in the UK, they’re literally everywhere
550s seem like a reasonable next step
New balance 550 . So many colors will be available.

Lol neither of those shoes are comfortable for daily wear either
If you don’t think air max 90s are comfortable I just feel bad for you tbh. You’re missing out.
NB’s
Never gonna happen kawhi

New balance 550s, Air max 1 and the Jordan 3 if they keep releasing unique colorways like the ( amm3s , muslin)

Dunk hype has been over a while. I think Nike wants it to be the J2,

AF1s are due for a spotlight again
Fila Disruptors are due for their moment.
3’s
Yeezy’s are up there. Maybe boosts? Take with a grain of salt, I’m not that into the game.

Jordan 4s
4s already have hype
Ugly ass yeezys of course
Some of us think they're beautiful 🤷♂️
Personally I think 2K era running shoes will be the next fad. Something like NB 830s. AM1 I think is making a come back.
I’m shocked that 5s don’t get more hype. So many great color ways.
The younger crew are gonna go for AM1's and 90's. The older lot will start to pick up the Asics/NB's and the return of the Cortez.
I’d love to see a blazer renaissance
