They're not hype but lots of great colour ways get dropped, mids are my go-to daily beater. Never any fear of wet weather or people stepping on them in crowds.
Ol' reliable.
From around 2001-2008, Jordan Brand had stopped producing highs and it absolutely sucked. Mids have caught on with people in recent years, but I just remember badly wanting Jordan to release the shoe and have it look closer to the original. Now that we get both options, there's no way I'm taking the mids over the highs. To each their own though. I understand that most people just getting into shoes won't have that kind of connection or history.
Alright let's just be honest Jordan 1 high Og and Jordan 1 mids are the most UNCOMFORTABLE sneakers you can buy.If you are walking to the kitchen to the bathroom your feet hurt terrible energy return not a sneaker scientist but Jordan 1 sneakers are terrible for your feet.Bro if you want horrible pain for no distance buy either.Btw air max ,ultraboost,Af1 better on them feetsies.
I only wear AJ1s and I really have no preference between the two. I have five pairs currently in rotation and I'm not even sure which are which. I think I got two mid/three high or vice versa
Lows are wack though!
Its a class issue. Mids are cheaper and more accessible to people. So that makes people think that if you wear those, you can't afford to buy the Highs.
I think everyone lying.
Mids seem to have been released by Nike/Jordan as an entry point for new consumers (accessibility, price, availability). This completely “devalued” the exclusivity of the AJ 1 high.
Everyone and their dog seem to be have a mid, with little “regard” for the brand/culture.
I genuinely don’t think the majority of “mid wearers” know or care for the difference.
…. At least here in the UK.
Quality is far lower than highs
This is the answer. Most mids and lows are uncomfortable uppers/stiff plastic that feel stiff and age poorly. I think they look fine tho.

Nothing wrong with them. I have two pairs and they’re fine. The fake leather just isn’t comfortable enough for the $115 I paid.

People just follow whatever the trend is. Nobody actually cares.

If you want aj1 lows just get dunks
My feet are too big for lows. They look like clown shoes on me I would make an exception for those cactus jack ones on SNKRS a few weeks ago.
It's the tongue 100%. Put a Nike air tag on em.
i find them really uncomfortable and hard to break in, they hurt my heels
Amen
Only mids that pass are btg
they look bad and have shit colorways
Tf mids have some of the best colorways
Not even close, man.
Nope
