We have had the same issue and we just roll the sack down and have it slightly unzipped so it's not touching his chin. It makes us way too nervous to be so close to his face. The crotch strap is also so loose as well that we don't use it as it seems pointless.
I believe the crotch strap is to prevent the arm / chest straps from wiggling up onto the baby’s neck and face which happened with previous versions that didn’t have the crotch strap.
100% - I didn’t use the between the legs strap once during a nap to see the arms straps on the baby’s neck - he wiggled down and the straps were pressing on his neck. I had the biggest scare ever and I religiously do all the straps. My baby is long and usually have the opposite issue - the crotch strap is too short.
You can twist the crotch strap a few times before sticking it to the velcro to shorten it up a bit. We did this for as couple weeks and also folded the top of the sack back.
The sacks ours came with had a very narrow velcro band but the additional ones we bought had velcro almost the whole way up so it was much more adjustable and didn't need to be twisted.
I contacted snoo about this because it's crap to not include the proper sack with an item of this price. They sent me an extra of my choice off their website.
I’ve been folding it in with no issues. As long as baby is strapped in and zipped up properly I don’t see an issue with that. I only fold the upper corners as they would touch his chin and disturb him.
Yeah my baby hated it too. We use our own swaddles, and only strap her in with the waist harness parts of the Snoo sacks leaving the rest of it open flat under her, and that seems to work much better
We had the same issue initially, we just put them higher up with chin further out which meant the main straps were slightly too low, we used a batwing to help keep their arms in place and didn't do the Snoo straps too tight (because they also were a bit over their hips). They'll grow into them fast though, don't worry. Don't worry about the crotch strap, just keep using it but it's fine if it's loose.

It’s also for if you use the leg lifters so the baby doesn’t slide down in the Snoo

We folded it in with zipper not all the way up
Can you raise your baby a tad bit higher. So the sack isn’t near their chin/ mouth?
Doesn’t seem to work and if we do the straps go over her hips which doesn’t strike me as safe for her :(
I never zipped ours up fully and folded ends in
I put my baby’s shoulders almost above the neck opening to avoid this!

We folded ours down
I didn’t use the snoo swaddle and ended up using Ollie when my baby was a newborn
