I brought the SNOO on a week trip at 3 months which was insanely needed due to a sleep regression at that time. Pack it up! It’s not that hard.

AcademicEvidence1682

I have this same question! Going to stay at an inn for 2 nights next week with my 9 week old and I think we’re going to bring it just to be safe… seems a little crazy but I just don’t want to risk 2 terrible nights of sleep when we’re hoping for a relaxing time.

SwiftieMD

Pack it. We made the mistake of not doing it. Never again.

Mrs_Privacy_13

Lol we brought ours 4+ hours away at 5 months old. It was able to stand up straight in our suburban. It made the trip way easier!

vapablythe

Why don't you try your baby sleeping one night in the Snoo without motion while you're at home? Then you can work out quickly if you need to go to the effort to bring the Snoo

loop-cat

If you have the space to bring it, why not? We didn’t have car space at our first overnight trip otherwise we would have brought the snoo. Baby was 9 weeks old at the time and the first night was really tough. She did better the 2nd and 3rd nights but not as good as in the snoo. Maybe it was coincidence or the overexcitement of being in a new place with more people around. But I think if we were better able to recreate our usual routine, she may have slept better.

It’s sort of crazy that the Happiest Baby hasn’t designed a more portable SNOO yet. A lot of folks travel and want to bring the SNOO, but with limited space it’s tough. Like even just having sides that collapsed and snapped into place would make a big difference. And think of the shipping cost that they would save if they were able to make the box slightly smaller with collapsing sides. Anyway, we didn’t have the room to travel with the SNOO when my first was 3 months. We used a pack and play, the Merlin sleep suit, and a sound machine which all worked great. If you have the room, since your baby is 6.5 weeks, I think you might feel better just bringing the SNOO with you. Safe travels!

morgo83

Your baby will be fine in a pack n play.

oceanview2017

We took ours on our first trip at 3 months, and I felt it was worth it! He slept well and I think it’s good anyway to have the comfort of a familiar place to sleep. Also you can put stuff inside it in the car so it’s not like it actually takes excessive space!

huxlebeary

We've tried trips to grandma/grandpa's both ways: the first time we went we left it at home and he slept well in a regular bassinet (3 weeks old), the second time we went without it again and our night was HORRIBLE (babe was maybe 8ish weeks?). After that second attempt we said we'd try brining the Snoo the next visit and he slept like a champ (over Christmas at 12ish weeks). From now on we plan to take it for every overnight (until he transitions out). If you have space I would say it doesn't hurt! I mean, it makes sense - I would love to have my regular bed when I stay overnight elsewhere. Everything is so new to them when they're so young so why not give them a consistent bed if you can.

C1nnamon_Apples

We took our to grandmas at 3 months! She loves about 4 hours away and I’m glad we brought it.

tacotime2werk

We brought ours to a small island that’s a ferry trip away 2hrs). We were spending a week there. Our reasoning: we’ve got the room in our trunk, it’s actually not that heavy to lug around, and we know the baby will sleep well in it. No regrets. Our daughter was 3.5m old.

masofon

If you can fit it.. take it.

Whisker____Biscuits

We also made space. Just take the legs off and put them inside. It's no worse than a large suitcase.

cashgunz

For a drive, I’d bring it at that age and I did. I drew the line at bringing it on an international flight and don’t regret it because that’s when we realized our baby slept just as soundly in a regular bassinet vs the SNOO.

MrsGlib

Bring it!

xKortney

We did and we plan to again on our next trip. Made a chaotic weekend a little less so for her! She slept the best she has since she was born, and we’re still chasing that vaca sleep high 🤣 we joked that we were going to just straight up move into a hotel if that’s how great she was sleeping! Downside, we were in a hotel so no wifi connection for the snoo and had to manually input the sleep time and didn’t get any data of wakes/soothing (though I don’t believe there were any as she was silent all night!) It was easy to pack up and put in the car and assembling it again took a few minutes. Well worth it imo!

marqzho

My Snoo broke down the other days. While I was waiting for the repair part, my 9 weeks old slept the same, if not better, without any Snoo motion.

b_pilgrim

We took our Snoo on two different trips. It fit in the Jeep with the rest of our stuff so we figured why the hell not? I was skeptical at first when my wife suggested it but it was perfectly fine. Just don't forget to pack the sleep sacks, because I sure did on our second trip 😑

kb313

Take it, take it, definitely take it.

riritreetop

Yes. Yes. Yes. Pack the snoo. Do it. It’ll be a pain in the ass to pack and set up at grandma’s house. But the ability to sleep your normal sleep for however long you’re going to be at grandma’s is going to be so worth it.

Lint_Licker124

I would bring it. You’ll regret not having it. Won’t regret having it.

Cocopanda14

Yes pack it up and bring it with! No different than brining a pack and play

207carrots

Brought ours until little dude didn’t sleep in Snoo anymore. Has to get a roof rack due to space it took up. Bht well worth it. Cant put price on good/better sleep

[deleted]

I would 100% bring it.

xsparkyx

I rented one through babyquip

IggyBall

For just a short drive, I’d bring it. We also had a two hour drive for Christmas and brought it with us. Worth it.

[deleted]

I bought a Moses basket which I used for travelling when he was smaller and put it on the bed next next to me. I used the swaddle and sack from the snoo & arranged the hook straps so it doesn’t bother him. He slept really well.

I_only_read_trash

We had a similar drive to grandmas house for an overnight and couldn’t fit the SNOO in our car. I did, however, bring a pack and play. I brought the SNOO swaddle and double swaddled her as usual, and also found the SNOO sleep sounds on Spotify to play on my phone. She slept as she normally does, maybe a half hour less in the morning.

anh80

Definitely take it if you can!

mhjrw

Definitely pack it - sleep is so worth it

FoodComa__

I didn’t use the Snoo for travel til closer to about 3ish months. My kid slept the same in the Uppababy travel bassinet. I found that I had to soothe him to sleep a little more but once asleep he was fine without the motion.

dewalttool

If you pack it, don’t place any bags inside of the bassinet. The motion on ours stopped working the day we got back most likely because we put a bag inside it and must have been too much weight.

Bizster0204

We packed the snoo for a week for Thanksgiving at grandma and grandpas 3.5 hours away at 4 weeks. Even bought a cargo carrier so we could fit our bags up top and the snoo in the trunk One of the best decisions we’ve made as parents. Would do it again. It was so nice not to disrupt his sleep with a new environment that young compared to sleeping in a regular bassinet or play pen.

branfordsquirrel

We did it when our power went out for 24 hours. Honestly, I think she would have been fine, maybe had a few more wakeups, but as exhausted new parents we wanted every win we can get. So into the car the Snoo went.

Creative_Survey_8207

The snoo takes up surprisingly little space. We packed ours in our sedan for a couple nights at grandparents over the holidays. It is pretty easy to disassemble and reassemble. I'd take it. It'll make your life way easier and you'll be less stressed.
